A Georgia appeals court on Monday canceled until further notice oral arguments on an effort by President-elect Donald Trump and other co-defendants to remove Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis from the criminal election interference prosecution against them.
The Georgia Court of Appeals acted on its own in canceling the arguments scheduled for Dec. 5. The court did not explain its reason for the move.
Three other criminal cases against Trump have been put in limbo since the Republican won the presidential election nearly two weeks ago.

President-elect Donald Trump‘s unconventional selections for his second White House term have shocked Washington and bucked the traditional GOP establishment.
However, that team of disruptors may be exactly what he wants after voters soundly rejected Vice President Kamala Harris and ushered in Republican total control of the White House, Senate, and House. Unlike his 2016 win, Trump will return to the White House with day-one experience with how Washington operates and a clearer understanding of the staff who dare to undo the status quo. He also knows who will be loyal to him, as evidenced by those who stood by him when he was

The illegal immigrant on trial for allegedly murdering Georgia nursing student Laken Riley earlier this year received a taxpayer-funded stay at a fancy hotel in New York City and a subsequent flight to Atlanta, Georgia.
The roommate of suspected murderer Jose Antonio Ibarra testified at his criminal trial Monday and revealed that Ibarra stayed at the Roosevelt Hotel in Midtown Manhattan before taking a “humanitarian flight” to Atlanta last fall with her.
Through a translator, Rosebeli Flores-Bello said they left the Roosevelt Hotel for Atlanta around September 10 of last year and flew into the Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. From there

Last week, I reported that the left was abandoning the X platform in favor of the left-leaning Twitter knock-off, Bluesky. I also made an easy prediction; that it would devolve into an over-censored mess of bubbled rage and ideological rigidity.
And it looks like I'm already being proven right. A new account has popped up on X called "LibsofBluesky" which has begun documenting all the wacky things the left is doing over at their new platform, and true to form, the occupants spend a lot of time cursing X, cursing Trump, cursing you, and of course, attacking each other. Like shaken bugs in a jar, the left are lashing out

Raiders tight end Brock Bowers joined the NFL’s latest celebration trend on Sunday when he hit the “Trump Dance” after catching a touchdown pass. While Bowers and thousands in the stands and online seemed entertained by the dance, the Raiders public relations team may not be as amused.
Bowers gave the Silver & Black in the third quarter of their game against Miami when he caught a touchdown pass from quarterback Gardner Minshew II. After the game, a game the Raiders ended up losing 34-19, Bowers was asked about the dance move. “I’ve seen everyone do it,”

Donald Trump’s cabinet nominees are coming under attack. They all will, I suspect, to the extent that Democrats can come up with something to use against them. Trump’s choice for Secretary of Defense, Pete Hegseth, has already been attacked on two fronts, possibly representing vulnerability on his part, or more likely simply the importance of his role.
The first line of attack is outrageous. The Associated Press, a reliable shill for the Democratic Party, doesn’t like one of Hegseth’s tattoos. Not the Jerusalem cross, but the Latin phrase “Deus Vult,” which is tattooed on his arm:

The 2024 presidential election has left the media reeling and plunged into a period of self-doubt and introspection. But for a few fleeting moments on NBC’s Meet the Depressed, the media forgot that they got shellacked. Watch as the Regime journalists (including former Obama and Biden spokesmouth Jen Psaki and taxpayer-funded Amna Nawaz of PBS) on the show’s panel plot a pressure campaign against Republicans considering confirmation of President Elect Donald Trump’s Cabinet picks: NBC MEET THE PRESS 11/17/24 10:44 AM KRISTEN WELKER: Eugene, what about the tension between: yes, you have the ethical questions, but then also the questions about whether these folks, some of them, are-

Kamala Harris launched her campaign with the claim that she would be bringing the politics of joy. That lasted for about a day and a half. The joy in this year’s campaign came from Donald Trump and his fans. The simple “Trump dance” that he performs to “YMCA”–so simple that I might be able to do it–has swept the country. If you watch a college or pro football game, or pretty much any other sports event, you might see someone doing the Trump dance.
But that isn’t all: news anchors, politicians–including the newly elected President of Argentina–and many others have succumbed to the craze. Thus:

Las Vegas Raiders tight end Brock Bowers became the latest NFL star to nail President-elect Trump’s dance moves as a touchdown celebration.
Bowers caught a 23-yard touchdown pass from Gardner Minshew II with 1:21 left in the third quarter. The score cut the Raiders’ deficit to 17-12 against the Miami Dolphins. He had seven catches on eight targets for 85 yards at that point. He then did the move in the back of the end zone.
Bowers is the latest NFL star to do the move. San Francisco 49ers defensive end Nick Bosa and the rest of his teammates did it after he sacked Tampa Bay

The Trump transition team is compiling a list of senior current and former U.S. military officers who were directly involved in the withdrawal from Afghanistan and exploring whether they could be court-martialed for their involvement, according to a U.S. official and a person familiar with the plan.
Officials working on the transition are considering creating a commission to investigate the 2021 withdrawal from Afghanistan, including gathering information about who was directly involved in the decision-making for the military, how it was carried out, and whether the military leaders could be eligible for charges as serious as treason

Our Salem colleague Dennis Prager, who's an absolute legend in the world of conservative media, talk radio, and truth-telling, was seriously injured last Tuesday in a fall at his home, and has been hospitalized since that time. We've all been praying for Dennis to have a speedy recovery since the moment we heard the news. On Sunday afternoon Julie Hartman, Dennis' podcast partner on The Dennis and Julie Show, provided an update on Dennis' condition. She revealed that Dennis had surgery following his fall and that, "This is not a 'he will be back next week' situation. This is a long haul and a long recovery for Dennis."

Most Democrats who aren't radical left fruitcakes know that their party has drifted out of the mainstream and into Cloud Cuckoo Land.
Rhode Island Democratic National Committeeman Joseph Paolino Jr. summed up the situation as the party seeks a new national chairman.
“The progressive wing of the party has to recognize — we all have to recognize — the country’s not progressive, and not to the far left or the far right. They’re in the middle,” he said. “I’m going to look for a chair who’s going to be talking to the center
