Gaetz Crashing in the Senate?

Baseball players, if they're fortunate enough to play 20 years in the Big Leagues, are first-ballot Hall of Famers if they can put the ball in play and reach base safely 3 times out of 10. They're considered among the greatest of all time if they get close to averaging three-and-a-half times out of 10. Aaron Judge of the New York Yankees put up all-world numbers in a season for the ages this past year. Shohei Ohtani, after commiting treason against the Los Angeles Angels to join the Dodgers in the National League, became the first member of the 50-50 club - hitting over 50 home

Excellent article. And for the record, one doesn’t have to be a RINO to consider this vindictive manipulator unfit for any office, much less Attorney General.

Is there anyone in their right mind who thinks that there is real dirt on Matt Gaetz that the Democrats haven't taken to the press? Seriously? Pure Alinksky appeal to general, conservative morality based on coordinated astroturf innuendo. Not buying it.

Very good article. I was thinking of the 4-D chess mentioned in the article after hearing of the nomination of Gaetz, and agree Trump does not have 3 months to waste on this nomination process. Hope that Gaetz realizes it quickly and removes himself from the nomination so Trump's team can pick someone who will be a bulldog cleaning up the Garland mess.

All actual Republicans know that a person can be framed so I don't think the fact of accusations against him is going to matter much. And all denizens of DC know that worse could be said of many members of Congress than is alleged of him. Poop on that. He is extremely smart and Constitution-adherent. And he is a disruptor, which is the true reason some are hesitating. Here is the thing, do you or do you not want the DoJ and FBI reined in? Who is able and likely to do it, who will not get this same Borky Gaetz treatmnt? If we want to be a free country we need a disruptor and a warrior, not your best friend from the washroom.

I'm sorry, but I'm not interested in a sideshow or a three-ring circus spectacle. To me (and I'm betting a majority of Trump voters) the election results are not a laughing matter but a deadly serious mandate demanding fixes not trollings. Going into reality show bawdiness at a time like this undermines the significance of the win.

Kevin McCarthy was a snake and traitor for all things MAGA. It was messy getting him out but it was worth it. As none of the so-called long time conservatives had the guts to go against Kevin, newcomer Gaetz stepped up to the plate. He made newbie strategic mistakes. However, a corrupt cancer was excised from his powerful perch. The deference given to McCarthy right now tell us all we need to know about Kevin. Gaetz is well-qualified, sharp as a tack as proven in House Committee hearings and a fearless supporter of President Trump’s agenda. Charlie Kirk read a list this morning of Senate Republicans who had no problem voting to confirm a group of weirdos, leftist hacks and the evil Merrick Garland for Biden. I believe Matt Gaetz will be the next Attorney General.

Even though Gaetz is a bit of a bull in a china shop I could support him as AG. He was cleared of any charges by the current Republican hating corrupt DOJ. Why was there still an ethics complaint? I think the Senate objections to him have more to do with fear of what be uncovered and publicly exposed. They say they are embracing change. But not this much change.

LOL, someone who thinks they are the enemy of the status quo, then turns around and parrots the status quo. You gotta love TV. It educates so many people. IF you feel compelled to claim Hegseth is a bad choice to lead the military, after his 3 decades of honorable military service, you really ought to explain why, because the career military the Deep State likes are either morons or traitors, for the most part. See, that is my opinion. Backed up by debacles from Iraq to Africa. Pete will be much more effective at forcing accountability, and that would be revolutionary. He sure as heck won't be calling China and telling them he will keep them informed as to what President Trump is planning.

JACKSON, Miss. — For out-of-state developers hoping to bring a win to Mississippi’s capital, their pitch was flat. The city had long been searching for someone to develop part of downtown Jackson, and when two men showed up expressing their interest in late February, City Council member Virgi Lindsay agreed to meet with them at an upscale steakhouse in a nearby suburb. But they had “no vision,” Lindsay said in an interview, and they were short on details. She could not recall whether they even offered a business card.

Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was fact-checked on Wednesday by The Washington Post for claiming that fewer migrants came into the U.S. under President Biden than under President-elect Trump's first term. "I don’t think we were clear enough by saying fewer people came in under President Joe Biden than came under Donald Trump," Pelosi told The New York Times during a recent interview. "It’s clarity of the message, and if that’s what [Sen.] Bernie’s [Sanders] talking about, and that’s what [Sen.] Joe Manchin’s talking about, we weren’t clear in our message as to what things are, then I agree with that."

Has anyone informed Joe Biden that he's leaving the White House in January? Plenty of outgoing presidents have indeed taken a few last shots, sometimes literally on their way out the door; that seems to be a favored time for signing pardons, for instance. But in one such move that's something of a head-scratcher, Joe Biden is imposing a new tax on the oil and gas industry - this one on methane emissions. President Biden's Environmental Protection Agency finalized a new rule Tuesday, taxing methane emissions from the oil and gas sector. The new tax was born out of Biden's sweeping climate legislation

The New York Times followed a Frank Luntz focus group of 13 young undecided voters over the course of the campaign, the oldest of whom was 27. What they found out from their coverage of them is rather fascinating and pretty hopeful, because it appears that the group coming up does largely get it. By the election, they had two for Kamala, four who went in different directions, and seven who voted for Trump. Townhall's Guy Benson broke down the article and observed the word "phony" was applied to Harris "over and over again" and her campaign was referred to as "empty." When asked to describe her campaign

By taking more of the Hispanic vote than any Republican since the U.S. government created the ethnic category in 1977, President-elect Donald Trump has dismantled a coalition that the Left had expected to ride to power throughout the 21st century. That alone bodes well for conservative governance. Voters who self-identified as Hispanic broke for Trump at an astonishing 46% rate, which means the actual percentage is likely higher if these early estimates hold. Hispanic men in particular voted for him at a 55-45 rate. These votes might have cost Vice President Kamala Harris the election.
