Eva Longoria says she’s anxious and nervous for Americans who can’t “escape” their “dystopian country” following President-elect Trump’s White House win.
“The shocking part is not that he won,” Longoria told Marie Claire in an interview for its November cover story conducted two days after Trump triumphed in the presidential race.
“It’s that a convicted criminal who spews so much hate could hold the highest office,” said Longoria, who campaigned for Vice President Harris and spoke at the Democratic National Convention in August.
“I would like to think our fight continues,” the former “Desperate Housewives” star said. But,

Nikki Haley, a failed presidential candidate and former ambassador to the United Nations, tried to smear President-elect Donald Trump as “shallow” after he stated he would not offer her a position in his second administration.
The comment appears to expose Haley’s resentment of Trump, who defeated her in the 2024 Republican presidential primary race. Haley dropped out in March after Super Tuesday.
She eventually said she would vote for Trump over Vice President Kamala Harris in the months leading up to Election Day, but the endorsement did not cause Trump to bring Haley on the campaign trail as a surrogate, angering many establishment Republicans.
After Trump defeated Harris in a landslide,

Baseball players, if they're fortunate enough to play 20 years in the Big Leagues, are first-ballot Hall of Famers if they can put the ball in play and reach base safely 3 times out of 10. They're considered among the greatest of all time if they get close to averaging three-and-a-half times out of 10. Aaron Judge of the New York Yankees put up all-world numbers in a season for the ages this past year. Eva Longoria fled 'dystopian' America and is 'privileged' to now be living in Mexico and Spain with her family.
The Texas born actress, who has spent her 'whole adult life' in California, says she feels the American 'chapter in my life is done now' and no longer wants to live in Los Angeles, alleging the city has been 'changing'.
Longoria, who has Spanish citizenship, and her producer husband José Bastón, a native of Mexico, have been living abroad with their six-year-old son Santiago while she works on her CNN miniseries Searching for Spain - a follow up to last year's Searching for Mexico.

Under fire from critics including her hometown Chicago newspaper, Oprah Winfrey is now seeking to explain the $1 million fee paid to her production company for a town hall event supporting Kamala Harris.
Before the election, Winfrey's Harpo Productions helped stage a star-studded town hall event for the vice president in Michigan as the billionaire entertainment mogul enthusiastically endorsed Harris to be the next president of the United States.
The Harris campaign footed the bill for organizing the town hall and made a $1 million payment to Winfrey's production company, Harpo Productions.

Rev. Al Sharpton announced that he is organizing a rally in Washington on Jan. 20, coinciding with both the inauguration of President-elect Donald Trump and the Martin Luther King Jr. federal holiday.
The outspoken Trump critic announced the rally on MSNBC earlier this week.
“While Trump supporters will be on one side of Washington watching him take the oath of office, I will be at the nation’s capital working to keep the dream alive,” Sharpton said. “There has never been a more important time to peacefully organize and mobilize.”
In 2017, the largest anti-Trump rallies in Washington were held one day after his inauguration.

Back in July, it was George Clooney who was instrumental in having President Joe Biden ousted from the race, weeks after hosting a fundraiser for his reelection campaign in Los Angeles. As we know, Biden was replaced by Vice President Kamala Harris, who still lost to President-elect Donald Trump. Sarah covered at the time last week how many were actually thanking Clooney for getting Trump elected. Now, the Hollywood actor says he's taking a step back from politics.
Something seemed up when, last week, Clooney was all too happy to discuss People's "Sexiest Man Alive," with no mention of politics. He won the award twice, in 1997 and 2006.

Russia made an audacious public attempt to blackmail the incoming U.S. president, according to a military expert.
Vladimir Putin and his ministers are already trying to mess with Donald Trump's head when Kremlin intelligence chief Nikolai Patrushev claimed in an interview that Trump had "relied on certain forces" to win a second term in the White House and warned that he had "corresponding obligations" that he was "obliged to fulfill," wrote Slate columnist Fred Kaplan.

ABC News is in “panic mode” to hire some Donald Trump supporters for The View and other ABC News programming.
This will never happen, at least not on The View, but the New York Post has been told that “ABC News brass are in ‘panic mode’ as they hunt for conservative voices to balance the rabid anti-Trump rhetoric spewed by the hosts on The View, as well as those on other shows.” After “last week’s rout by the former president,” the report continues, ABC News executives had “intense sit-downs with executive producers of the network’s various shows and other senior editorial leaders.” “First on the agenda,
