In the early hours of Wednesday morning, legacy news networks
were already sliding toward 2016 levels of melting down about the increasingly definite prospect of a presidential victory by Donald J. Trump. For them, Harris’ stinging defeat is personal — because it’s just as much a defeat for them as it is for her.
The corporate media industrial complex has spent Donald Trump’s entire political career trying to destroy him. Hand-in-hand with triple-letter government agencies and Democrats, they ran a hoax painting Trump as a Russian stooge based on ridiculous rumors commissioned by his opponent’s campaign in 2016.

Shortly after Vice President Kamala Harris called President-elect Donald Trump to concede the 2024 race for the White House Wednesday afternoon, failed campaign manager Jen O'Malley Dillon sent an email to staffers about next steps.
"Just a few moments ago, the Vice President connected with President Trump to concede the race. In the call, she told him that she would work with President Biden to ensure a peaceful transfer of power," the email states. "She also made clear that she hopes he will be a President for all Americans."
"I don't have words to express the gratitude I have for everyone getting this email. You left everything on the field.

Will Democrats learn the lawfare lesson? We’ll soon find out.
One week after former President Trump’s smashing victory, there is slated to be action in a New York State court, where the president-elect must still deal with 34 felony business-records charges on which a Manhattan jury found him guilty this spring. Judge Juan Merchan is expected to rule on Trump’s motion to vacate the guilty verdicts. Team Trump argues that, under the Supreme Court’s July 1 ruling that former presidents have presumptive immunity from prosecution for official acts, the case must be thrown out because District Attorney Alvin Bragg recklessly chose to include official-acts evidence in the prosecution.

Former Attorney General Bill Barr, who served in President-elect Trump's first administration, is calling on prosecutors at the state and federal levels to dismiss the pending legal cases against Trump before he takes office once again.
Barr told Fox News Digital that voters were well aware of all the allegations against Trump when electing him to a second term in office on Tuesday, and that it is in the country's best interest for prosecutors to listen to them.
"The American people have rendered their verdict on President Trump, and decisively chosen him to lead the country for the next four years," Barr said.

Cardi B, Alec Baldwin and Stephen King have slammed the result of the 2024 presidential election as Donald Trump emerged victorious.
The Grammy-winning rapper, 32, was one of the first to air out her frustration on social media after it emerged Wednesday that Trump will be returning to the White House.
Taking to Instagram Live, the “I Like It” hitmaker read aloud a comment from a fan that said, “Cardi we need you at the Trump inauguration.”
“I swear to god I’m gonna f*** you up, get away from me,” she said during the video with more than 37,000 followers. “I’m sick of you!

ANN ARBOR, Mich. — President-elect Donald Trump has won Michigan — adding 15 electoral votes to his total and nearly completing a sweep of the swing states.
Trump leads Vice President Kamala Harris 49.8% to 48.3%, with 98% of votes counted, the Associated Press reports.
Arizona is the only swing state left to be called — and the Republican ex-prez has won every other.
Ahead of the polls opening, election guru Nate Silver insisted a win in Michigan for Trump would all but seal the 2024 election for the former president.
With his triumph in the midwestern state, Trump has managed to repeat his 2016 victory, in which he turned the state red

Wednesday, during an appearance on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” the morning after the presidential election, network host Al Sharpton speculated on who was to blame for Vice President Kamala Harris’ apparent defeat.
Sharpton took a shot at the American voter, attributing race and gender bias to Trump’s success.
“Probably ‘shock’ would be the word for many at the Howard University party, and then ‘disbelief,'” he said about his view from being at the Harris’ election night event. “I think that is also what we’ve got to deal with —

Vice President Kamala Harris can still become the first female President of the United States of America — but only if President Joe Biden resigns.
Harris lost decisively to former President Donald Trump — now president-elect Trump — on Tuesday, dashing hopes that a woman would finally break through the “glass ceiling” and reach the Oval Office. But she still can — if Biden follows through on a promise to be a “transitional” candidate, and steps aside for Harris.
If he does not, Biden will have consigned Harris to the ignominious task of presiding over the Senate during the certification of Donald Trump’s victory over her on January 6.

Former White House staffer says Kamala Harris’s actions following her loss last night to President Donald Trump was “classless” and reveals she’s a “sore loser.”
Kamala went to bed early and did not even address the thousands of supporters at Howard University in Atlanta who came out to celebrate her expected victory last night.
Barbara Heineback: I am so disappointed and really insulted that I’m a Howard alum and that she didn’t have the decency to walk out and say to her, to her university, make a comment to the United States. Things were not looking well for her.

As the smoke clears over a long and grueling 2024 election, people are naturally reflecting and taking stock of the result. Opinions are going to fly, but I think if anyone summed up the results the best so far, I'd have to give that to CNN contributor Scott Jennings.
Last night, Jennings sat on a panel with dumbfounded CNN talking heads who, judging by all the other clips, couldn't seem to wrap their heads around how Donald Trump, a man they convinced themselves was the epitome of evil and corruption, could have won the election.

On Tuesday night, an NBC panel began discussing whether the Democratic Party was right to push President Joe Biden aside in favor of his vice president, Kamala Harris.
"Jen, has the conversation begun yet about Joe Biden and about the decision to ask him to step aside?" Lester Holt asked former White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki.
"It will begin,” she said. “It will begin depending on the outcome. And obviously, there hasn’t been a race called yet. If this is not a Harris win, that will certainly be part of the discussion. She’s run a campaign over the course of 107 days. That is not something we’ve seen in history,
