Coal miners from West Virginia, known as the “West Virginia Boys,” have stepped in to restore Highway 64 in Chimney Rock, North Carolina, after Hurricane Helene devastated the area. The miners rebuilt the 2.7-mile stretch in just three days, allowing displaced residents to return home.
Robin Phillips, who fled during the storm, expressed gratitude for their efforts. “I haven’t been able to access my home since the hurricane, but the West Virginia boys brought the road back,” she said. Phillips and her husband, who operate a campground, will now be able to return to assess the damage.

The Republican National Committee (RNC) was on top of “hundreds” of issues on election night, working quickly with a team of lawyers to solve any possible instances of election malfeasance, and RNC Chairman Michael Whatley provided several examples of what their team did as Americans anxiously awaited the final election results.
Whatley said there are a “lot of stories” showcasing the RNC prioritizing election integrity on election night, noting that they dealt with “literally hundreds of issues all across the country.”
“And a lot of them were, you know, they seemed minor at the time,” he said, although he pointed to one issue in Philadelphia,

The Assistant Director for Fraternity and Sorority Life (FSL) at the University of Oregon has been placed on leave after telling Trump voters to kill themselves by jumping off a “f*****g bridge” in reaction to President-elect Donald Trump’s landslide victory in the 2024 election.
“I’m done crying. My sadness is over. My anger has set in. I am a very petty person, and I am very proud of that — love it about myself, actually,” Leonard Serrato said in a video posted to social media.

President-elect Donald Trump said that no price tag will keep him from implementing his plan for mass deportation of illegal migrants once in office.
Speaking with NBC News on Thursday, the president-elect said that he would be working to make the border “strong and powerful” and that he would have “no choice” but to carry out his plan of mass deportations.
“We obviously have to make the border strong and powerful and, and we have to — at the same time, we want people to come into our country,” he said. “And you know, I’m not somebody that says, ‘No, you can’t come in.’ We want people to come in.”

Campaign Manager Susie Wiles will be President-elect Donald Trump’s chief of staff in his next administration, Trump announced Thursday night.
Wiles made history as the architect of Trump’s return to the White House, likely the greatest comeback in American political history. She’ll make history again as the first female presidential chief of staff.
“Susie Wiles just helped me achieve one of the greatest political victories in American history, and was an integral part of both my 2016 and 2020 successful campaigns,” Trump said in a statement. “Susie is tough, smart, innovative, and is universally admired and respected. Susie will continue to work tirelessly to Make America Great Again.”

In the early hours of Wednesday morning, legacy news networks
were already sliding toward 2016 levels of melting down about the increasingly definite prospect of a presidential victory by Donald J. Trump. For them, Harris’ stinging defeat is personal — because it’s just as much a defeat for them as it is for her.
The corporate media industrial complex has spent Donald Trump’s entire political career trying to destroy him. Hand-in-hand with triple-letter government agencies and Democrats, they ran a hoax painting Trump as a Russian stooge based on ridiculous rumors commissioned by his opponent’s campaign in 2016.

Shortly after Vice President Kamala Harris called President-elect Donald Trump to concede the 2024 race for the White House Wednesday afternoon, failed campaign manager Jen O'Malley Dillon sent an email to staffers about next steps.
"Just a few moments ago, the Vice President connected with President Trump to concede the race. In the call, she told him that she would work with President Biden to ensure a peaceful transfer of power," the email states. "She also made clear that she hopes he will be a President for all Americans."
"I don't have words to express the gratitude I have for everyone getting this email. You left everything on the field.

Will Democrats learn the lawfare lesson? We’ll soon find out.
One week after former President Trump’s smashing victory, there is slated to be action in a New York State court, where the president-elect must still deal with 34 felony business-records charges on which a Manhattan jury found him guilty this spring. Judge Juan Merchan is expected to rule on Trump’s motion to vacate the guilty verdicts. Team Trump argues that, under the Supreme Court’s July 1 ruling that former presidents have presumptive immunity from prosecution for official acts, the case must be thrown out because District Attorney Alvin Bragg recklessly chose to include official-acts evidence in the prosecution.

Former Attorney General Bill Barr, who served in President-elect Trump's first administration, is calling on prosecutors at the state and federal levels to dismiss the pending legal cases against Trump before he takes office once again.
Barr told Fox News Digital that voters were well aware of all the allegations against Trump when electing him to a second term in office on Tuesday, and that it is in the country's best interest for prosecutors to listen to them.
"The American people have rendered their verdict on President Trump, and decisively chosen him to lead the country for the next four years," Barr said.

ANN ARBOR, Mich. — President-elect Donald Trump has won Michigan — adding 15 electoral votes to his total and nearly completing a sweep of the swing states.
Trump leads Vice President Kamala Harris 49.8% to 48.3%, with 98% of votes counted, the Associated Press reports.
Arizona is the only swing state left to be called — and the Republican ex-prez has won every other.
Ahead of the polls opening, election guru Nate Silver insisted a win in Michigan for Trump would all but seal the 2024 election for the former president.
With his triumph in the midwestern state, Trump has managed to repeat his 2016 victory, in which he turned the state red

Wednesday, during an appearance on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” the morning after the presidential election, network host Al Sharpton speculated on who was to blame for Vice President Kamala Harris’ apparent defeat.
Sharpton took a shot at the American voter, attributing race and gender bias to Trump’s success.
“Probably ‘shock’ would be the word for many at the Howard University party, and then ‘disbelief,'” he said about his view from being at the Harris’ election night event. “I think that is also what we’ve got to deal with —
