Tens of thousands of striking Boeing machinists voted Monday to ratify a new contract, ending their seven-week work stoppage.
In a statement, the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers union said its members approved to ratify the contract by 59%. Workers can return to work as early as the first shift Wednesday, it said.
"Working people know what it's like when a company overreaches and takes away more than is fair," Jon Holden, president of IAM District 751, and Brandon Bryant, president of IAM District W24, said in a joint statement.
"Through this strike and the resulting victory, frontline workers at Boeing have done their part to begin rebalancing

The Fat Lady has not sung yet, and it’s not over till it’s over, but Donald Trump stands a very good chance of being reelected as president of the United States on Tuesday.
If he succeeds in winning back his old job, he will pick up the phone the first day and call… the president of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum. And it won’t just be to chit-chat and trade niceties—Trump said he will inform her that he will immediately impose massive tariffs unless she does her part to stop the flow of illegal immigrants and drugs into the U.S.

If Vice President Kamala Harris loses the election, several Democrat officials believe that President Joe Biden will be to blame, a new Politico Playbook report revealed.
After speaking with Democrat insiders, the outlet stated, “If Harris loses, it’ll be because… she took the reins too late.”
“Already, most Democratic officials we’ve spoken to agree: If anyone should get the blame for a Trump win, it’s Biden,” Washington, DC, correspondents Rachel Bade and Eugene Daniels wrote Monday.
According to the Democrats they spoke to, Biden’s long-held commitment to running at 81 years old despite his obviously faltering mental health and low approval rating cost Harris

A Trump campaign memo released Monday said Democrats are facing a “massive turnout deficit” in every single battleground state, with former President Donald Trump and Republicans outperforming past elections in absentee ballots and early votes cast. Meanwhile, it said there is an uptick in rural turnout.
The memo, from Grassroots Targeting’s chief data consultant Tim Saler, said:
With Early Voting closed and Election Day on the horizon, Democrats are facing a massive turnout deficit. In every single battleground state, we see President Trump and Republicans outperforming elections past in absentee ballots and early votes cast.

We are a night away from Election Day and the early vote totals show Pennsylvania Democrats are nowhere near as enthused as they were in 2020. Republican enthusiasm to vote early is, however, matching 2020 levels.
According to the latest numbers dropped by the state of Pennsylvania, 997,450 Democrats have voted early compared to 578,546 Republicans. That gives Democrats a vote lead of 409,904.
That might sound great for Democrats, but it’s not.
In 2020, we are told Joe Biden defeated former President Trump by 1.2 points or roughly 81,000 votes in Pennsylvania

Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump have tied with three votes each in the tiny New Hampshire township of Dixville Notch, kicking off Election Day in one of the first places in the country to report its presidential preference.
The unincorporated township, located along the US-Canada border in New Hampshire’s northern tip, opened and closed its poll just after midnight ET in a tradition that dates back to 1960. Four Republicans and two undeclared voters participated.
While Dixville Notch isn’t always predictive of the eventual winner – or even the state’s pick – its annual production, despite a dwindling population,

Are you excited? Nervous? Just can't wait for it to be over? I hear ya. Tomorrow is the big day, and we all want to know what's going to happen. Of course, no one can predict with 100% certainty, but some pollsters get more credibility than others when they have a record of accuracy. The AtlasIntel poll was the most accurate pollster of 2020, and so when they release a poll, it carries a lot of weight.
And on Monday evening, they dropped their final poll of the election, which includes both national and battleground state polling.
First, Trump is ahead nationally, 49.2% to Kamala Harris' 48.1%. In their head-to-head scenario,

Western security officials reportedly said they believe Russia is plotting to plant explosives aboard either commercial or passenger airplanes bound for the United States and Canada.
Two incendiary devices were shipped using the German logistics company DHL and ignited at DHL logistics hubs in Leipzig, Germany, and in Birmingham, England, in July, sparking a multinational investigation, according to the Wall Street Journal.
Security officials and sources familiar with the investigation told the Journal that intelligence agencies in Europe determined the explosions were caused by electric massagers implanted with a magnesium-based flammable substance.

A Pennsylvania judge is allowing Elon Musk's America PAC to continue its $1 million a day contest through Nov. 5, according to a ruling on Monday.
The ruling by Common Pleas Court Judge Angelo Foglietta came hours after Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner's testimony against America PAC on Monday. Kramer argued that the "sweepstakes" violates election laws and that it should be shut down.
Appearing as a witness on Monday, Krasner called the contest "a grift."
"This was all a political marketing masquerading as a lottery," the district attorney said. Earlier that day, it was revealed that the winners of America PAC's giveaway are not randomly selected.

The final national NBC News poll of the 2024 presidential campaign finds a neck and neck contest defined by clashing forces that have aided both Democrat Kamala Harris and Republican Donald Trump in their pursuit of the White House.
Taken together, the poll shows Harris getting support from 49% of registered voters in a head-to-head matchup, while Trump gets an identical 49%. Just 2% of voters say they’re unsure about the choice.
Boosting Harris: rising Democratic enthusiasm, a 20-point lead over Trump on the issue of abortion, and an advantage for Harris on which candidate better looks out for the middle class.

WASHINGTON – If Donald Trump is reelected to a second term in the White House, he would return to Washington with very different relationships than when he left the nation's capital in January 2021.
At the end of his first term, his standing among GOP lawmakers was precarious: The Jan. 6, 2021 riot at the U.S. Capitol building led to condemnations from both sides of the aisle and his historic second impeachment. Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., delivered a scathing floor speech after Trump's Senate trial saying the lame duck president was "practically and morally responsible" for the riot, and

When Donald Trump lost to Joe Biden in 2020, it seemed to be the death knell of his political career.
His first term in office ended in chaos and condemnation - even from members of his own party.
If he wins the election on Tuesday, it will be only the second time anyone has ever returned to the White House after previously losing a presidential re-election bid.
“He gets knocked down and gets up twice as focused,” said Bryan Lanza, who has been a political adviser for the former president since Trump launched his 2016 campaign. “I don't think anybody should be surprised about this comeback.”
