Nature might abhor a vacuum, but empires love them. The busy empire-builders in Tehran have spent the last two decades extending their reach into power vacuums in Iraq and Syria as part of their attempt to recreate at least part of the old Persian Empire that once covered almost the entire Middle East. Funding the Houthi rebels in Yemen keeps the Saudis conveniently distracted, too, as well as giving Tehran a way to attack the shipping that Western economies rely upon.
Hamas and Hezbollah in Gaza and Lebanon respectively are Iran's imperial outposts even further west — and the Arab nations have reportedly had enough.

Former President Donald Trump served McDonald’s French fries two days after the Wall Street Journal published a feature on the Republican nominee’s new crusade to “Make America Healthy Again.”
“Trump Adopts RFK Jr.’s War on Junk Food to Win Over His Fans,” the headline read.
Fast-forward to Sunday, when Trump greeted customers at a Pennsylvania McDonald’s drive-thru and passed out goodie-bags of the industry’s most iconically-addictive “junk food.” Several online X users said the split images reflected an inherent contradiction between Trump’s endorsement of efforts promoting sound nutrition and his championship of the fast food menu.

Just a dozen days ago, The New York Times ran a thoughtful, hard-hitting, unbiased, 100% even-handed article on Kamala Harris: ‘Joy’ Is Working for Harris, but Can It Close the Deal? (That was a follow-up to its previous hard-hitting piece: Harris Used to Worry About Laughing. Now Joy Is Fueling Her Campaign. A few days earlier, another site exclaimed: Kamala Harris is showing that joy can be a strategy. And just a little bit prior to that, New York Magazine declared the dawning of a new, exciting age in American politics: Kamala Harris and the New Politics of Joy!
Happy-happy, joy-joy!

New York Democrats have failed to legalize noncitizen voting, but may get their way by passing Proposition 1 on the Nov. 5 ballot.
The deceptively written “Equal Rights Amendment” doesn’t protect women or abortion rights — but does empower lawmakers to ignore the current language of the state Constitution in the name of protecting a whole host of new rights that it would create.
Let’s be clear: Abortion rights are not under threat in New York.
Citizenship and voting rights, however, are under attack.
The courts blocked the New York City Council’s 2021 law to let 800,000 non-citizens with green cards vote, since Article II, Section 1,

Once in a great while, what happens at the bottom of the ballot can reshape a state’s political future for decades to come.
While New Yorkers on Election Day will vote on the controversial “Equal Rights Amendment,” Ohio is ground zero for an effort to wrest control away from the people and give it to unelected, Fauci-like bureaucrats to achieve “redistricting reform.”
And the movement is anything but organic: It’s an out-of-state (and even international) attempt by left-wing politicians to trick voters into rewriting our state constitution by passing Issue 1.
The ballot measure — masterminded by the likes of Barack Obama’s former Attorney General Eric Holder-

A Long Island village government promoted a voter event that turned out to be a rally to help elect a Democratic candidate in a congressional swing district, The Post has learned.
The village of Hempstead blasted out social media promos for “get out the vote” rally at Kennedy Memorial Park on Oct. 17 boosting Democratic hopeful Laura Gillen — and featuring Democratic Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries.
The event was no civic, nonpartisan registration drive but a rally for the Democratic ticket, video shows — complete with a “New York State Democrats” banner that was displayed as some supporters carried signs for Gillen, who is trying to unseat first-term Republican Rep. Anthony D’Esposito.

Kamala Harris has been trying to push the fiction that former President Donald Trump is "exhausted.'
I think it's her attacks and her campaign that are exhausted. If you look at Trump's campaign not only does it have the momentum in the polls, it has the momentum in creativity, energy, and, well, joy. He seems to be having fun, and so are all the people supporting him.
We saw him turn a troll into a hilarious campaign event at a McDonald's, as well as making something of a comment on serving the people and recognizing workers.
But the Trump energy was lighting up around Pennsylvania.

The FCC is investigating CBS for blatant manipulation of news. [SEE COMPLAINT HERE] CBS really has no defense.
CBS has been caught producing, via editorial manipulation, two entirely different responses to the same question.
Everyone has been asking CBS to just simply release the full transcript. CBS has refused. The assumption is now about the manipulative content of the broadcast being so extreme that to release a transcript would be even worse than what is already known. The FCC complaint is simple and accurate, which is likely why CBS has never attempted to defend itself, until today.

Vice President Harris publicly agreed with a protestor this week who interrupted her to accuse Israel of committing “genocide.”
The moment went down during a campaign stop Thursday at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, when a pro-Hamas UWM student began yelling out while the Democratic presidential nominee was speaking, video of the exchange showed.
“I am so invested in you all, in every way,” Harris can be heard saying as the interruption began.

Someone off-camera can be heard whispering “shut up,” but the outburst continued.

During her Thursday rally in Wisconsin, Vice President Kamala Harris mocked students who dared to proclaim that "Jesus is Lord" when she went on one of her pro-abortion rants. She insisted that "you guys are at the wrong rally," and cackled while they were tossed out. Scott Presler has the scoop about those young men in question. To add insult to injury to how the Democratic nominee's treats Christians, though, is an anti-Israel activist who interrupt her rallies are responded to in contrast.

Kamala Harris has let loose some truly cringe campaign ads as she continues on her desperate quest for the presidency, but her latest is not only one of the top contenders for the most gag-inducing, it’s also downright insulting. To women. To men. To blacks.
It’s supposed to be cute and funny, but it’s anything but. It portrays black women as thirsty scolds who only care about material things like money, job status, and a potential partner's height.
The women in the spot summarily reject the guy when he admits he hasn’t decided on whether to vote.

Again and again we see that Israel absolutely made the right call in not heeding the Biden administration and the rest of the world's insistence that the IDF not invade Rafah." — Lahav Harkov, Israeli journalist, X, October 17, 2024.
"Pretty rich after a year of undermining Netanyahu, saying he MUST go to a ceasefire, MUST deescalate, trying to stop Israel from going into Rafah WHERE SINWAR WAS KILLED, and Kamala boycotting his joint address to Congress - now Biden & Harris have the nerve to congratulate him for setting the path to peace. I'm sure the phone call sounds something like 'You were right Bibi [Netanyahu], we apologize,'
