The Collapse of Kamala Harris

Original Article

On July 26, in the aftermath of the Democratic Party's ruthless midsummer coup of their own democratically elected presidential nominee, this column predicted that the elevation of dimwitted cackler-in-chief Kamala Harris to the party's presidential slot would "spectacularly backfire." More specifically, I wrote: "Practically, the path to winning 270 Electoral College votes still runs through the Rust Belt states of Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin. It is frankly bizarre for Democrats to swap out the man who talks ceaselessly about his hardscrabble Scranton upbringing for a Californian who boasts the most left-wing voting record of any presidential nominee in modern history." I'm feeling pretty good these days about that prognosis.

Why Women Should Vote For Trump 1 reply

Dear fellow women, You are being played. And falling for this particular confidence scheme won’t just cost you, it’ll cost all of us. I’m an affluent 30-something divorced, white, childless, American woman with multiple postgraduate degrees, and a busy career. I’ve lived abroad in several metropolitan cities and I own my home. According to every single statistic, I should be a J.D. Vance-loathing single cat lady. I should also really hate Donald Trump. But I don’t. Lest we forget, the presidency is not a popularity contest. There seems to be some confusion on that front. You aren’t casting a ballot for Prom Queen, you’re voting

When Sen. JD Vance (R-Ohio) rebuked Martha Raddatz on air a few days ago, he was not just pointing out the bias of the liberal media. The GOP vice presidential candidate was also calling out a far more sinister threat to our country. In a conversation about the violent criminals of Tren del Aragua entering our country illegally, ABC host Raddatz sought to minimize reports that the feared Venezuelan gang had taken over housing units in Aurora, Colo. “The incidents were limited to a handful of apartment complexes,” she claimed — as though that were somehow acceptable. But Vance was having none of it. “Martha, do you hear yourself?”

Denial is not only a river in Egypt. It is also a seductive expedient for the Democratic Party in the waning days of the 2024 presidential election. You see it everywhere in the official activities of the Democratic campaign. WinBlue donations are soaring! The polls still have Harris ahead! Democracy is on the line! Escaping from the bluster of denial are worrisome little puffs of pandering, always a sure sign that the denial is at best half-believed by the denier. This is not surprising. Denial is the reliable product of desperation: the realisation, however imperfectly acknowledged, that the jig is up.

The season has come again (actually, we’re a few weeks behind schedule) for the restorative quadrennial reading of Michael Anton’s “The Flight 93 Election,” first published at the website of the Claremont Review of Books in September 2016. Its vivifying spirit leaps out immediately in the famous opening lines: 2016 is the Flight 93 election: charge the cockpit or you die. You may die anyway. You—or the leader of your party—may make it into the cockpit and not know how to fly or land the plane. There are no guarantees. Except one: if you don’t try, death is certain.

Kamala Harris is continuing to underperform across the polling spectrum. Pick any average from the multitude of polling views — two-way, multicandidate, battleground states, and even individual battleground states — and Harris is running consistently below where Joe Biden was in 2020 and Hillary Clinton in 2016. So it’s no surprise Democrats are growing nervous. There’s a reason the Harris campaign is suddenly making her available for softball media opportunities, such as her recent appearances on CBS’s “60 Minutes” and “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” as well as ABC’s “The View,” and even for riskier ones like her Wednesday appearance on Fox News.

New texts have emerged of alleged secret communication between Liz Cheney, former January 6 committee vice chair, and a key witness. Former White House official Cassidy Hutchinson was due to testify that she saw then-President Donald Trump agreeing with January 6 rioters who were chanting "Hang Mike Pence," the then-vice president. Republican National Committee member, Harmeet Dhillon, wrote on X, formerly Twitter, on Tuesday: "This is a very serious ethical violation and lawyers can be disciplined by the bar for contacting a represented party concerning the subject matter of the representation, without the permission and knowledge of that party's lawyer."

Vice President Kamala Harris sat down with Fox News’s Bret Baier for a half-hour interview in which Baier politely took no prisoners, pressing Harris on the issues most voters cite as their top concerns. Harris took almost zero accountability for the Biden-Harris administration’s failures and offered few answers on her specific policy positions, pivoting instead to besmirching rival Donald Trump and provide offerings from her platitude grab-bag. Baier hit the ground running by asking Harris how many illegal immigrants she thought her administration has released to date — “One, 2 million?” Harris replied, “It’s an important discussion people want to have,”

Desperate times call for desperate measures. With just 19 days to go until Election Day, Vice President Kamala Harris has adopted a frantic, discombobulated strategy of throwing everything she can find at Donald Trump to see if anything sticks. It’s become obvious that with millions of hardworking Americans struggling to make ends meet due to inflation, illegal immigrants being prioritized over U.S. citizens and wars raging around the globe, Ms. Harris’ message of more of the same isn’t resonating with voters. Liberals have found themselves in panic mode. It seems the agreed-upon tactic for the closing days of the Harris campaign is

A small Pennsylvania town has been thrown into a national conversation about immigration into the U.S, after former President Trump pointed to it as a victim of mass Haitian migration --with some residents saying they believe the town is now backing the former president in November. "The small 4,000-person town of Charleroi, Pennsylvania, have you heard of it?" Trump said in September in Tucson, Arizona. "What a beautiful name, but it's not so beautiful now. It has experienced a 2,000% increase in the population of Haitian migrants under Kamala Harris."

For over a decade now, the issue of trangenderism has gained increasing prominence in American politics, which is natural when personal choices begin to intersect with public policy, and for Kamala Harris it has risen above the surface at the worst possible time. There have always been policy concerns around the idea that men can simply decide they are women. There were questions about women’s shelters and prisons, locker rooms and bathrooms, but nothing puts quite as fine a point on the issue as men competing in women’s sports. For his part, Donald Trump has a clear and concise answer to the troubling phenomenon

Former President Barack Obama came out swinging at Friday’s rally in Arizona, questioning former President Donald Trump’s competence. The 44th president sharply criticized his successor throughout the appearance in Tucson, taking aim at Mr. Trump’s ability to articulate policy positions and his age. Mr. Obama’s comments come just months after President Biden, 81, dropped out of the race over concerns about his coherence. If elected, Mr. Trump, 78, would be the oldest president in U.S. history by the end of his term. “Along with his intentions, there is also a question of his competence,” Obama said. “He’s giving two, 2 1/2-hour speeches. A fourth U.S. official said the documents appear to be legitimate. The documents are attributed to the U.S. Geospatial Intelligence Agency and National Security Agency, and note that Israel was still moving military assets in place to conduct a military strike in response to Iran’s blistering ballistic missile attack on Oct. 1. They were sharable within the “Five Eyes,” which are the U.S., Great Britain, Canada, New Zealand and Australia.

Canada sure seems to be a popular destination for Americans who suddenly find themselves in a position where leaving the United States is a good idea - at least in their fevered imaginations. The problem is, these people, who are almost exclusively creatures of the loony left (yes, I know that's a redundancy) almost never follow through on their threats. On Friday, Politico gave us some examples from Michigan - and these people are daffy. “Oh, God, she has to win: I don’t want to live in a Trumpian hellscape,” said Erin Conklin, a 62-year-old retired homemaker and artist. “We might have to leave: Canada, if they’ll take us.”

Actually, I think it is the type of mistake that Barack Obama often made. The Center for Immigration Studies' Todd Bensman, who's done groundbreaking reporting on the border surge, has been in southern Mexico documenting what is going on there and in Central America as the election battles out in the U.S. He found this: This, despite his earlier reporting that migrants are anticipating a Trump victory in November, and making a rush towards the U.S., before the anticipated drawbridge will be pulled. Bensman reports that Trump is known as 'el diablo' to the would-be illegal border crossers. So the idea of building a huge permanent complex to house migrants, United Nations agencies, and NGOs would almost seem counterintuitive,

Dozens of interviews with people deeply familiar or involved with the election process point to a clear consensus: Not only could Trump make a second attempt at overturning an election he loses, he and his allies are already laying the groundwork. “The threat remains,”
