A tentative agreement has been reached between Boeing and the roughly 33,000 machinists that went on strike last month, the union announced Saturday. “We are finalizing the strike settlement agreement, which will be completed soon, along with additional contract details to provide you with a clear understanding of the offer,” the International Association of Machinists (IAM) said in a post on social platform X. The latest proposal from Boeing includes a 35 percent wage increase over four years and reinstates an incentive pay plan, with a guaranteed minimum annual payout of 4 percent. The union, which represents roughly 600,000 active and retired machinists,

Some will certainly disagree with me, but I was kind of enjoying the show. Kind of disappointing to see the strike end so soon.

Trump trolls Harris with cameo as McDonald’s worker 2 replies

Former President Donald Trump traded his signature suit jacket for a fast-food apron Sunday as he looked to expand his advantage over Kamala Harris with blue-collar workers who have flocked behind his presidential campaign. The spectacle of Mr. Trump taking orders and working the fryer at McDonald’s attracted thousands of supporters, and the stage was selected so he could rehash his unproven claim that Ms. Harris lied when she said she worked at McDonald’s while in college. “I’m going for a job right now at McDonald’s,” Mr. Trump told reporters after arriving in Pennsylvania.

President Donald Trump was having a great time working at McDonald's on Sunday. If anyone else had done it, they probably would have looked awkward. But he looked like he was in his element, especially when he was greeting people at the drive-thru window and handing out orders. This was the "joy" and the fun that the Kamala campaign can't duplicate. The customers and the crowd outside just loved it, and you could tell he was having a great time. The reason? He naturally likes interacting with people, unlike Kamala. But it's also an indication that he'll stop at nothing to serve

Four years ago, a sitting president — rejected by American voters — attempted to seize a second term anyway, plunging the nation into confusion, conflict and, in its last gasp, violence. Now, Donald Trump’s political comeback has revived a sense of dread among the officials and institutions who stood in his way last time: Could it happen again? Dozens of interviews with people deeply familiar or involved with the election process point to a clear consensus: Not only could Trump make a second attempt at overturning an election he loses, he and his allies are already laying the groundwork. “The threat remains,”

Hamas chief Yahya Sinwar was prepared to hide out the war in his secret bunker beneath Gaza flushed with UN food rations, thousands in cash, cologne and his own shower, Israeli officials say. Footage from the Israeli military gives a peek into how the Oct. 7 mastermind spent his days in Khan Younis during the first half of the war — before he was forced to flee to Rafah, where he was killed last Thursday. The resurfaced video from February depicts a bright and cozy living quarters for Sinwar, 61, and his guards, with a fully stocked kitchen that Israeli Defense Forces officials said would help the terrorists ride out

One of the people familiar confirmed the documents’ authenticity. The leak is “deeply concerning,” a US official told CNN. Over 1 million voters have cast a ballot in Georgia just days after the critical swing state opened up its early voting polls. The milestone sets a new turnout record for early voting in the Peach State during a general election, the Georgia Secretary of State (SOS) office confirmed with Newsweek over email Friday. State officials celebrated the record over social media, including Republican Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, who posted to his X (formerly Twitter) account, "Great job, Georgia!" "1 Million voters have cast their ballots early," Raffensperger wrote. "Election directors across Georgia have been working tirelessly to make this possible."

Former President Barack Obama came out swinging at Friday’s rally in Arizona, questioning former President Donald Trump’s competence. The 44th president sharply criticized his successor throughout the appearance in Tucson, taking aim at Mr. Trump’s ability to articulate policy positions and his age. Mr. Obama’s comments come just months after President Biden, 81, dropped out of the race over concerns about his coherence. If elected, Mr. Trump, 78, would be the oldest president in U.S. history by the end of his term. “Along with his intentions, there is also a question of his competence,” Obama said. “He’s giving two, 2 1/2-hour speeches. Enten said, “If you believe Donald Trump has somehow become less popular over time, let me change your mind about that. In fact, he is more popular at this point in the campaign than he was at this point in the 2020 campaign or the 2016 campaign.” He continued, “I think there’s this real question in. Al Smith, the beloved four-term governor of New York, was the first Catholic to appear on a major party ballot for president. The 1928 presidential campaign was marred by the Herbert Hoover organization unleashing a wave of anti-Catholic bigotry, aided by the Klu Klux Klan and other nativist groups, that accused Smith of being an agent of the papacy and hence the devil himself. Protestant preachers railed against him from the pulpit. Even mainstream protestant churches warned against Smith's "dual loyalties." The Smith campaign was such a disaster that neither major party would put up a Catholic candidate for thirty years, when Democrats nominated John F. Kennedy.

They were sharable within the “Five Eyes,” which are the U.S., Great Britain, Canada, New Zealand and Australia.

Canada sure seems to be a popular destination for Americans who suddenly find themselves in a position where leaving the United States is a good idea - at least in their fevered imaginations. The problem is, these people, who are almost exclusively creatures of the loony left (yes, I know that's a redundancy) almost never follow through on their threats. On Friday, Politico gave us some examples from Michigan - and these people are daffy. “Oh, God, she has to win: I don’t want to live in a Trumpian hellscape,” said Erin Conklin, a 62-year-old retired homemaker and artist. “We might have to leave: Canada, if they’ll take us.”

Actually, I think it is the type of mistake that Barack Obama often made. The Center for Immigration Studies' Todd Bensman, who's done groundbreaking reporting on the border surge, has been in southern Mexico documenting what is going on there and in Central America as the election battles out in the U.S. He found this: This, despite his earlier reporting that migrants are anticipating a Trump victory in November, and making a rush towards the U.S., before the anticipated drawbridge will be pulled. Bensman reports that Trump is known as 'el diablo' to the would-be illegal border crossers. So the idea of building a huge permanent complex to house migrants, United Nations agencies, and NGOs would almost seem counterintuitive,

Perhaps the most infamous moment came when Muir, using his most arrogant, self-important tone, interrupted Trump on crime statistics. Yes, the former president fought back and tried to explain why Muir was wrong,
