Democratic strategist James Carville said Monday on MSNBC’s “The Beat” that he and host Ari Melber will be arrested if former President Donald Trump wins the election.
Carville said, “Trump goes out, and he says I’m going to use the military to arrest my political enemies, and then Mike Johnson’s and Lindsey Graham, and the Wall Street Journal editorial pages say oh no, that’s not what he meant and then he comes back and says yeah, that’s exactly what I meant. You know what’ll happen? You pointed it out; if he wins, he will say, I told people I was going to do this. I have the legitimacy of an election

Israel Defense Forces (IDF) Brigadier General Amir Avivi (Res.) told ABC News on Monday that Israel’s impending retaliatory strike on Iran will be “fierce” and will lead to an intensified war that will last “many months.”
Avivi, a conservative think tank, the Israel Defense and Security Forum (IDSF), told Breitbart News in early September that an Israeli attack on Hezbollah in Lebanon was “imminent” — and it took place within days. ABC News reported:
Israel’s planned attack on Iran will mark the “beginning of a war” that will last “many months,” retired Israel Defense Forces Brig. Gen. Amir Avivi told ABC News.
Israel’s war with Hezbollah had gone incredibly well

Former President Donald Trump on Monday landed in western North Carolina to survey the damage from Hurricane Helene, meet survivors, and thank volunteers who have been working to save lives.
Five states were affected by Hurricane Helene — Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Tennessee. However, North Carolina was hardest hit.
Hurricane Helene was the deadliest hurricane to hit the continental United States since Hurricane Katrina in 2005, with more than 300 deaths confirmed so far, and many still missing.

Issues & Insights' Terry Jones calls this "buyer's remorse," but that doesn't fit. Literally no one bought Kamala Harris as the Democrat presidential nominee -- by design. Democrats never gave their voters a choice other than Joe Biden in the primaries, and then threw out 50 state contests to anoint Harris as the nominee once the cover-up of Biden's cognitive decline got exposed.
Small wonder, then, that over a third of Democrats in the new I&I/TIPP poll don't feel much "joy" over Harris as their candidate. And even more of them believe they got stuck with a weaker candidate than Democrats could have fielded:

Vice President Kamala Harris is campaigning for president against Elon Musk at least as much as she is against former President Donald Trump, Mark Cuban said Monday, as he advocated for the Democratic nominee as the pro-business choice.
“It’s the Harris campaign versus Elon, not even versus Trump,” the billionaire investor and former “Shark Tank” host said on CNBC’s “Squawk Box.”
Cuban took a swipe at the Tesla
and SpaceX CEO over Musk’s promise to give $1 million per day to the winner of a swing-state voter sweepstakes, calling it “innovative” and “desperate.”
But Cuban later predicted that if Harris wins, she “100%” could mend her relationship with Musk.

Former Georgia special prosecutor Nathan Wade who previously led the Fulton County election-fraud case against Donald Trump lacked critical experience for the job and had to take training sessions on racketeering law, he told a House committee last week.
Wade testified before the House Judiciary Committee behind closed doors and admitted to lacking the experience necessary to be special prosecutor, to the point where he attended a course on the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act to learn how the law worked.
“Prior to your appointment as special prosecutor, had you ever worked in a district attorney’s office?” Wade was asked, according to a transcript of his testimony. “No,” Wade replied.

Seven Israeli citizens were arrested last month on suspicion of spying for Iran for as long as two years, carrying out hundreds of tasks at the behest of the Islamic Republic, prosecutors said on Monday.
“This is one of the most severe cases we’ve ever investigated. There is a real possibility that the main charge will be aiding the enemy in wartime, for which the penalty is death or life imprisonment,” said Chief Superintendent Yaron Binyamin, who heads the Lahav 433 serious crimes unit of the Israel Police.
The suspects, all residents of Haifa and the north who emigrated from Azerbaijan, include a soldier who deserted

Former President Donald Trump traded his signature suit jacket for a fast-food apron Sunday as he looked to expand his advantage over Kamala Harris with blue-collar workers who have flocked behind his presidential campaign.
The spectacle of Mr. Trump taking orders and working the fryer at McDonald’s attracted thousands of supporters, and the stage was selected so he could rehash his unproven claim that Ms. Harris lied when she said she worked at McDonald’s while in college.
“I’m going for a job right now at McDonald’s,” Mr. Trump told reporters after arriving in Pennsylvania.

President Donald Trump was having a great time working at McDonald's on Sunday.
If anyone else had done it, they probably would have looked awkward. But he looked like he was in his element, especially when he was greeting people at the drive-thru window and handing out orders. This was the "joy" and the fun that the Kamala campaign can't duplicate. The customers and the crowd outside just loved it, and you could tell he was having a great time. The reason? He naturally likes interacting with people, unlike Kamala. But it's also an indication that he'll stop at nothing to serve

Four years ago, a sitting president — rejected by American voters — attempted to seize a second term anyway, plunging the nation into confusion, conflict and, in its last gasp, violence.
Now, Donald Trump’s political comeback has revived a sense of dread among the officials and institutions who stood in his way last time: Could it happen again?
Dozens of interviews with people deeply familiar or involved with the election process point to a clear consensus: Not only could Trump make a second attempt at overturning an election he loses, he and his allies are already laying the groundwork.
“The threat remains,”

Hamas chief Yahya Sinwar was prepared to hide out the war in his secret bunker beneath Gaza flushed with UN food rations, thousands in cash, cologne and his own shower, Israeli officials say.
Footage from the Israeli military gives a peek into how the Oct. 7 mastermind spent his days in Khan Younis during the first half of the war — before he was forced to flee to Rafah, where he was killed last Thursday.
The resurfaced video from February depicts a bright and cozy living quarters for Sinwar, 61, and his guards, with a fully stocked kitchen that Israeli Defense Forces officials said would help the terrorists ride out

The US is investigating a leak of highly classified US intelligence about Israel’s plans for retaliation against Iran, according to three people familiar with the matter. One of the people familiar confirmed the documents’ authenticity.
The leak is “deeply concerning,” a US official told CNN.
The documents, dated October 15 and 16, began circulating online Friday after being posted on Telegram by an account called “Middle East Spectator.”
They are marked top secret and have markings indicating they are meant to be seen only by the US and its “Five Eyes” allies — Australia, Canada, New Zealand and the United Kingdom. They describe preparations Israel
