Fans at Florida’s Disney World theme park are furious and offended over the extremely high prices of the food at a new bakery opening this fall with a single slice of cake priced as high as $26, and a Coca Cola at $8 a cup.
The Cake Bake Shop by Gwendolyn Rogers which will open soon on the BoardWalk at Disney World in Orland, Florida, is set to replace the ESPN Club which was closed in 2020. But Disney fans are already ripping the new shop before it has even opened after the bakery’s price list was revealed on Reddit.

Lots of postings on Facebook and videos on YouTube decrying these ridiculous prices. On each one of them I see, I post a GIF of Michael Douglas as Gordon Gekko saying "Greed, for lack of a better word, is good!"

Since we decided years ago to never again bother with Disney, this won't impact us at all. ALL the prices a Disney World are totally nuts.

Oprah Chocolate Cake washed down with a soda - $32. Family of four - $128. $32 for a Hamburger. Family of four - $128. $256 for a "woke" experience.

Disney sucks. I looked forward to taking my grandchildren there, before they were born. Not happening until things dramatically change.

Well, there's a reason the ESPN Club closed (lack of business, maybe?). These "furious" (please, Breitbart) fans need to see to it that the Cake Bake Shop meets the same fate.

I don't know about you, but I always check the prices before I buy. And there was something my dad would say when he saw a price that was too high for him...
"They want it more than I do."

Clearly a case of price-gauging.

Maximize profits until the customer base is bled dry.
No one ever seems to ask,
What then?

If Kamala is elected, her first action in office should be to indict Disney World for price gouging. Wasn't that what she promised to do?

When you enter any entertainment venue ecpectbto have your credit cards tapped to the extreme. If you are allowed bring your snacks into the park. If you don't then pay the piper.

Odds are the fans sqwalking the loudest over being price gouged for snacks will quietly and patiently stand in long lines in blazing heat just to be entertained by perverts and people who really hate them and a normal way of life.

The Covid shot killed my wife Jan 2023,after being on hospice from the shot for more than a year. She loved Disneyland and our last trip there was before they went woke. I’m glad she never knew the Mouse House went woke. I have no plans to ever go back.

The casual tourist drives over to Disney World.
First they rip you off for parking the car.
Then they rip you off for admission.
Once inside the rip you off for food and drink or anything else you buy.
Who should take the blame for this------YOU-----you knew you would get ripped off but you went there.
Don't go there.

As many have posted, I have never been and never will. First was the Gay Days then full woke and now the expense. I have the idea that a lot of people will feel the cost is not worth the expense especially in the current economic downturn. I don't think it's going to improve and I would sell any Disney stock if I owned any.

IMO, if you can afford Disney World tickets, you are warming up a tempest in your teapot. Did you march and protest against Winn-Dixie's prices. I'll bet you didn't.
