Fans at Florida’s Disney World theme park are furious and offended over the extremely high prices of the food at a new bakery opening this fall with a single slice of cake priced as high as $26, and a Coca Cola at $8 a cup. The Cake Bake Shop by Gwendolyn Rogers which will open soon on the BoardWalk at Disney World in Orland, Florida, is set to replace the ESPN Club which was closed in 2020. But Disney fans are already ripping the new shop before it has even opened after the bakery’s price list was revealed on Reddit.

Lots of postings on Facebook and videos on YouTube decrying these ridiculous prices. On each one of them I see, I post a GIF of Michael Douglas as Gordon Gekko saying "Greed, for lack of a better word, is good!"

The casual tourist drives over to Disney World. First they rip you off for parking the car. Then they rip you off for admission. Once inside the rip you off for food and drink or anything else you buy. Who should take the blame for this------YOU-----you knew you would get ripped off but you went there. Don't go there.

A lot was going on with this panel. At times, it was even-keeled, with Brian Stelter noting that Donald Trump had some good jokes at the Al Smith Dinner, which Kamala Harris infamously skipped because she’d embarrass herself. There was also a moment to study the density of the liberal media bubble, which still thinks that Donald Trump is going to jail journalists and his political enemies, which no one cares about. That’s the funny part about this whole circus—they think they know what voters are genuinely concerned about, and they don’t.

North Carolina’s Asheville Police Department is trying to find the owners of dozens of family photos that were found by first responders who sifted through the rubble from Hurricane Helene. “Amid the debris and devastation wrought by the Swannanoa and French Broad rivers, APD officers found and saved dozens of family photographs that survived the storm,” the department said in a Thursday post to Facebook. “Though the water was strong enough to demolish buildings, uproot trees, and bend and tear steel, it could not wash away the memories contained within these photos. The Asheville Police Department would therefore like to see them returned to their rightful owners.”

September 17 was Constitution Day, a day set aside for American patriots to commemorate the moment 237 years ago, when delegates to the Constitutional Convention signed that document. It’s all the day when a prominent Philadelphia matron, Elizabeth Willing Powel, ambushed Benjamin Franklin as he left Constitution Hall. Spying Franklin, she pounced with the interrogatory, “Well, Doctor, what have we got, a republic or a monarchy?” This is the famous question to which Franklin uttered his famous response: “A republic, if you can keep it!” Today’s patriots commemorate this brief colloquy precisely because of the chilling fact that we haven’t “kept” that republic. Since at least WWII,

Donald Trump slammed Kamala Harris on Friday describing her as a 'loser who doesn't go to any events' after she described him as being 'exhausted' on the campaign trail. Democrat Harris raised questions about Republican Trump's physical stamina to serve effectively as president as the two rivals tore through the deadlocked battleground state of Michigan on Friday. Harris, who turns 60 on Sunday, pressed the case to raise doubts about the 78-year-old Trump. Age had been an issue when President Joe Biden, 81, was still in the race, but had faded after he dropped his election bid.

No, it’s not “the economy, stupid,” in spite of the schizophrenic stock market since our remarkably resilient capitalistic economy ran head-on into the socialist-cum-communist Biden-Harris regime, with its $1.8-trillion deficit. And no, it’s not domestic policy, where we have had the luxury of being on the receiving end of these: High taxes. High food prices. High gas prices. Sky-high regulations. Alarmingly high crime rates throughout the country, particularly in states run by Democrats, where arrests are few, bail is nonexistent, and raging criminals enjoy no consequences for their assaults, rapes, murders, racist attacks, etc.

The question, “What if Kamala Harris wins the 2024 presidential election?” belongs firmly in the latter category. As I have noted elsewhere, I believe Donald Trump will not only win, but win resoundingly. All the same, the huge influx of illegal immigrants, strategically managed by Biden and Harris to be maximally advantageous, combined with the disastrous state of our voter rolls, might mean even if Trump wins, he doesn’t end up in the Oval Office. So: what if? Imagine you are a mini-Rip Van Winkle. You sink into a deep slumber
