Former President Trump has taken a narrow lead over Vice President Harris in pollster Nate Silver’s prediction model just weeks out from Election Day.
While the race remains essentially a toss-up, Trump now leads Harris by just more than half a percentage point, 50.2 percent to 49.5 percent, in the model updated Thursday afternoon. “However nominal, it’s Trump’s first lead in our model since Sept. 19,” Silver wrote on his Silver Bulletin site.
The political forecaster noted that Harris was leading Trump a day earlier by about a point, 50.3 percent to 49.4 percent.
The former president picked up ground with “some good polls” entering the database Thursday,

In the end, after a year-long, multi-agency manhunt involving the latest technology, Israel’s best special forces and American assistance, Yahya Sinwar appears to have been killed by regular soldiers who had stumbled into him and had no idea whom they had killed.
According to the initial reports, they were not there on an assassination operation and had no prior intelligence that they could be in the vicinity of the elusive Hamas leader, architect of the 7 October attacks, the man Israel most wanted to kill. It was only after they took a closer look at his face and found identity documents on him that the troops realised they had got Sinwar.

– Vice President Kamala Harris told supporters Thursday that she “stood up to veterans” in a brutal gaffe that capped off a long day of campaigning in Wisconsin.
Harris, 59, was in the middle of touting her tenure as California’s attorney general when she mistakenly bragged about standing up to America’s war heroes.
“I stood up to veterans, and stood up for — excuse me,” the vice president said, quickly correcting the error after grimacing. Some in the crowd appeared to groan, while others laughed at the blunder.

Kamala Harris bused in "supporters" to a rally in what looked like an obvious effort to make her campaign look bigger than it is. Women dressed in "Handmaid's Tale" garb picketed in front of U.S. Supreme Court Justices' homes to pressure justices into changing their minds, insurrection-style, after the Dobbs draft decision was leaked. Democrat operatives sent agents provocateurs to Trump rallies to try and start fights while in line and disrupt his speeches in 2016. In 2008, at a Hillary Clinton speech, a couple of guys heckled her with "Iron my shirts!"

The annual Al Smith charity dinner in New York is a major event, with dignitaries from the entertainment, politics, and business world all showing up to raise money for Catholic charities. During election years, it's a big event for presidential candidates to be seen at a notable charity event. Comedian Jim Gaffigan, who was the opening act of the night, pointed out that Catholics make up a large number of voters in key swing states. He then jokingly followed up that observation by asking where Vice President Kamala Harris was, referencing her seeming inability to visit swing states and their voters.

You’ve heard the classic advice given first-year law students about arguing a case.
When the facts are on your side, pound the facts.
When the law is on your side, pound the law.
When neither the facts nor the law are on your side, pound the table. Kamala Harris proved in yet another “highly anticipated interview” with Fox News’ Bret Baier that since neither the facts nor the issues are on her side, only one way remains to make her case: pound her opponent.
A few days ago, your correspondent posited that the case against Kamala boils down to six simple numbers.

The US says it has carried out "precision strikes" against five weapons storage locations in areas of Yemen controlled by the Houthi movement.
Defence Secretary Lloyd Austin said B-2 Spirit stealth bombers were part of the operation that targeted hardened underground facilities housing missiles and other munitions that the Iran-backed group had used to attack civilian and military ships.
The strikes demonstrated the ability of the US to hit facilities that adversaries sought "to keep out of reach", he added.
Houthi-run Al-Masirah TV said the strikes targeted six areas in and around the capital, Sanaa, and two near the northern city of Saada. It did not report any casualties.

During an interview with Fox News Wednesday night, her first ever on the network and one of the few since becoming the Democratic nominee for president, Vice President Kamala Harris claimed she took on the Guadalajara Cartel during her time as a prosecutor in California. (X Video) There's just one major problem.
By the time Harris became a prosecutor in the 1990s, the Guadalajara Cartel had already been disbanded. In the 1980s a criminal group rooted in the state of Sinaloa evolved into the first large-scale drug trafficking organization and became the precursor of most of Mexico’s current major criminal organizations.

WASHINGTON — President Biden griped to former President Barack Obama that “she” is “not as strong as me” — with Obama agreeing “that’s true” — in a stunning off-mic conversation deciphered for The Post by a professional lip reader.
The apparent candid assessment of Vice President Kamala Harris’ standing going into the Nov. 5 election occurred Wednesday afternoon as America’s two most recent Democratic presidents conversed at Ethel Kennedy’s memorial service in Washington.
“She’s not as strong as me,” said Biden, 81, according to the translation, which was produced by analyzing the on-video lip movements during the discussion.

In a desperate bid for votes that Kamala Harris should already have secured, the vice president is pandering to a surprising audience: Black men.
Less than three weeks before the election, Harris now claims that if she's elected president, she'll throw the nation's purse wide open for this select group. How kind, and not at all manipulative and indulgent. On Monday, Harris launched her "Opportunity Agenda for Black Men." The plan includes handing out 1 million "fully forgivable" loans of up to $20,000 for Black entrepreneurs and "others." The proposal also promises to protect cryptocurrency investments and to legalize recreational marijuana.

With the exception of one cordial but somewhat challenging segment on 60 Minutes, Vice President Kamala Harris has spent her entire presidential candidacy going from one softball media appearance to another. That ended Wednesday night when she sat for an interview with Fox News anchor Bret Baier. Finally, Harris faced probing and persistent questions about her record as vice president and plans for the presidency. And in 27 minutes of back-and-forth, she had virtually no answers. She pushed back hard but, for all her words, had little to say. (I should note at the beginning that I am a Fox News contributor, and I appear on Baier’s program Special Report.)

The death of Yahya Sinwar, mastermind of the October 7, 2023, massacre and head of Hamas’s political bureau, marks a turning point in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Israeli forces eliminated Sinwar, who had orchestrated Hamas’s insurgency in Gaza since his 2011 release from prison during the Gilad Shalit prisoner swap. Sinwar’s removal disrupts Hamas’s leadership and raises critical questions about the effectiveness of past ceasefire demands and concessions.
Ceasefires aim to halt violence and open paths to dialogue. Yet militant groups like Hamas have exploited these pauses to regroup, rearm, and strengthen their positions.

Last week nominations for the Noble Peace Prize were announced, and the nominees were typical of the Prize’s history. A perusal of past winners reveals that the majority of prizes are for good intention, moralizing internationalism and its institutions, short-lived peace treaties, feckless disarmament, and any choice that gratifies global anti-Americanism.
And let’s not forget terrorists and their enablers included in this year’s nominees: the United Nations’ Palestinian refugee agency, the International Court of Justice, and UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres. All three reflect the Prize’s long history of promulgating globalism and the “rules-based international order” that has serially failed to deter aggression.

Go to Kamala Harris’ campaign website and among the very short list of alleged achievements is this: “She cast the deciding vote to lower drug prices and cap insulin prices for our seniors.”
The only problem is that drug costs for seniors have skyrocketed since Harris signed that bill.
Harris is pointing to the criminally misnamed “Inflation Reduction Act,” which got zero Republican votes, and which was supposed to lower the cost of prescription drugs by giving, as Harris puts it, “Medicare the power to negotiate lower drug prices with Big Pharma.”

The settlement announced Wednesday by lawyers for the 1,353 people who have filed suits against the Archdiocese of Los Angeles and its attorneys represents the largest single payout by any diocese in the United States, according to the New York Times.
It also brings Los Angeles' cumulative total payouts in sex abuse lawsuits over a quarter of a century to more than $1.5billion.

Kamala is done!
Kamala Harris sat down for a one-on-one interview with Fox News host Bret Baier.
This is the first non-softball interview of her life and she totally cracked under pressure.
A completely unhinged Kamala Harris began screaming about democracy!
“[Trump] talked about locking people up because they disagree with him! This is a democracy!” Kamala Harris shouted. “And in a democracy the president of the United States in the United States of America should be willing to be able to handle criticism without saying he would lock people up for doing it!”

A Georgia judge ruled that county election board members cannot block the certification of votes based on suspicions of fraud just weeks before the 2024 presidential election.
Fulton County Superior Court Judge Thomas Cox ruled on Wednesday that seven new election rules recently passed by the State Election Board are “illegal, unconstitutional, and void.” The measures had been a controversial subject between former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris's surrogates in the battleground state.
The rules, passed last month in a 3-2 vote by the Republican majority on the elections board, had received much attention.

WASHINGTON — Vice President Kamala Harris angrily dodged questions on border policy, Iran and President Biden’s fitness for office in an contentious interview with Fox News host Bret Baier — as more polls showed her losing the initiative in the race for the White House.
The 26-minute interview with the Democratic nominee kicked off with a tense grilling by Baier on immigration policy — with Harris repeatedly refusing to say that terminating former President Donald Trump’s “Remain in Mexico” policy was a mistake.
Baier’s first question schooled Harris about the effects of the current administration’s more permissive policies, which allow many illegal border-crossers to await asylum rulings inside the US, before asking

Play with fire and you’ll get burned. Former President Donald Trump will visit a local Pennsylvania McDonalds and work the “fry cooker” after Vice President Kamala Harris claimed she previously worked at the fast-food joint despite no evidence of such employment.
This weekend, Trump will step off the campaign trail and into a McDonalds to serve up hamburgers and french fries to voters in one of the most essential key state just weeks before the November election. With Pennsylvania being the potential deciding state of the election, stakes are high

Anyone who watched even a few minutes of the Kamala Harris interview on FOX News knows it was a train wreck.
She unsuccessfully tried to blame Trump for the border crisis. She completely lost her composure and her handlers even ended it early.
It was the first time in this election cycle that she faced any tough questions and she completely cracked under pressure.
Despite this harsh reality, her defenders at CNN and elsewhere in the liberal bubble bent over backwards to try to claim that she actually did a great job.

When it comes to transgender athletes competing in women's sports Donald Trump plans to 'just ban it.'
The ex-president got a question from the crowd on the topic of transgender individuals in sports during a Fox New town hall on 'The Faulkner Focus' Wednesday afternoon.
During the event Trump was asked by a woman in the all-female town hall audience what he would do 'about the transgender issue in women’s sports.'
Trump smiled and shot back, 'It's such an easy question.'

What happened Wednesday night to Kamala Harris on Fox News may have been the equivalent to what happened to President Joe Biden at that infamous debate in June — irreparably exposed her as unacceptable to voters.
In what was widely seen as a Hail Mary move by Kamala’s campaign, the vice president agreed to an extended interview on Fox News, one of the exceedingly few national TV interviews she’s done since she was anointed the Democrat Party’s post-Biden nominee. Remarkably, she offered nothing new in terms of her weak, often confusing answers to obvious questions, but she did finally face probing lines of inquiry and necessary follow-up

Kamala’s campaign is over.
Kamala Harris sat down for a one-on-one interview with Fox News host Bret Baier and it was an unmitigated disaster.
This is the first non-softball interview of her life and she totally cracked under pressure.
At one point a completely unhinged Kamala Harris began screaming about Trump and democracy.
Kamala Harris didn’t know what to say after Bret Baier confronted her about the state of the country. “More than 70% of people tell the country is on the wrong track. They say the country is on the wrong track. If it’s on the wrong track, that track follows 3.5 years of you being Vice President and President Biden being President.

Fox News host Bret Baier shared details about how Vice President Kamala Harris' team was desperately trying to get the Fox News interview to wrap up after their testy sit-down in Pennsylvania.
The Democratic presidential nominee joined Baier for an interview aired on the Fox News Channel's Special Report Wednesday evening. It was her first ever interview for the conservative network.
The pair spoke over each other numerous times as Baier grilled the 59-year-old vice president on multiple topics including immigration right out of the gate.

Fox News’ Bret Baier interviewed Kamala Harris tonight. It was a total dumpster fire, with the vice president once again showing her awful elegance in evading answering the question, spewing non-answers, and being incapable of landing punches. She had plenty of time to take swipes at Trump, which she attempted, but they fell flat. Baier pressed Harris on her record, the immigration crisis, and essentially what she did and did not know about Joe Biden’s mental decline. She refused to answer the question—she’s pitiful at maneuvering.

What a nightmare of an interview! Three things were confirmed during this shambolic sit-down with Fox News’ Bret Baier: Kamala is unqualified, incapable of grasping the issues, and still dances with her 2020 demons. One of the criticisms of Harris during her failed 2020 campaign and vice presidency is that she criticizes staff and often ignores their briefings and memos, which would likely blunt the chances of her coming off as a total ignoramus.

Donald Trump has been nearly assassinated twice, but that didn’t stop the far-left Salon from claiming Trump and his supporters are “infected” with a “contagious disease” called “Authoritarian Violence Disorder” and that Trump “is a massive superspreader.” (I don’t link fake news meant to inspire assassins, which is what this obviously is.)
Welcome to the Democrat party’s latest edition of assassination porn…
Under the headline, “‘Brain flaws’: Understanding MAGA as an epidemic disease” and the subheadline, “Epidemiologist Dr. Gary Slutkin: MAGA is a ‘dangerous and lethal syndrome’ of ‘Authoritarian Violence Disorder,’” we are told Slutkin is “a distinguished epidemiologist, formerly with the World Health Organization.”

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said Wednesday on MSNBC’s “The Last Word” that former President Donald Trump was “unqualified to be president” because he is “increasingly unstable and unhinged.”
Clinton said, “The vice president has pivoted toward the closing argument. The closing argument has two parts. The closing argument is what kind of country do we want to be? What kind of people are we? Do we want to be divided? Do we want to be set into arguments with each other that we can’t agree on solving our problems? She is qualified to bring our country together and he is not.”

As early voting kicks off in Arizona, MSNBC field reporters reveal a surprise for Kamala Harris and her supporters: not a single early voter they interviewed in Mojave County voiced support for Harris.
Arizona, a critical battleground state, has begun its early voting period for the November election, and voters are already making their voices heard at mailboxes and polling locations across the state.
The unexpected surge in early voting has been fueled by none other than former President Donald Trump himself.
Breaking from his previous criticism of mail-in voting, Trump has urged his supporters to utilize every voting option available this year, including early and absentee voting.

CBS News spoke to some leaders in the black community in Michigan today about the election and did not get the responses they were probably expecting.
This is just more proof that Kamala Harris and the Democrats have a very real problem with black voters this year. (Snip) “A lot of Black men are not into the Harris campaign, and I think this should have been done awhile ago,” one Black community leader said.
“I think it’s touch and go right now. I see shades of the Hillary Clinton campaign with the arrogance of a Democratic Party out of touch with the electorate,” one of the leaders said.

Fox News “Special Report” host Bret Baier claimed Wednesday that Kamala Harris’ campaign team pared down the allotted time he had with her just before a highly anticipated interview — and then had the vice president show up late.
Baier, a veteran political journalist, compared the Harris campaign’s tactics to a football team “icing the kicker” before an important field goal attempt.
“So, we were supposed to start at 5 p.m. — this was the time they gave us, originally. We’re going to do 25 or 30 minutes,” the host explained.
“They came in and said, ‘Well, maybe 20 [minutes].
“And then the vice president showed up at about 5:15 [p.m.].”

Four Kamala Harris staffers waved their arms pleading to end Harris’s much-anticipated but widely panned Fox News Channel’s Special Report interview, Bret Baier revealed Wednesday night.
Baier, who interviewed Kamala Harris, made the shocking revelation during the post-interview broadcast, saying he had many questions he was unable to ask Harris before the interview wrapped. “You know, I’m talking like four people waving their hands like, ‘it’s gotta stop!'” Baier told the panel.
