Fox News announced on Monday that Vice President Kamala Harris has agreed to be interviewed by the network’s chief political anchor, Bret Baier. The interview will air Wednesday evening in the battleground state of Pennsylvania. The announcement comes as Harris visits Erie on Monday, a hotly contested county that could decide the all-important battleground state’s fate come November. The event marks the first time the current Democratic frontrunner has ever participated in a sit-down interview with the network. “Special Report with Bret Baier…is home to the largest and most politically diverse audience in cable news, averaging 2.3 million viewers…with more Democrats and Independents tuning in to Baier

Let's not forget who Brett Baier is. Mr. Baier gleefully at 10pm NY time or there about, on election night 2020 said Trump LOST Arizona. He and that blonde, whose name I can't remember, were downright happy that Trump was now losing. And it was FOX that said it. So, there was added gravitas to that report. And that's exactly what's going to happen with the Kamala interview. I believe, Baier and his producers have let Kamala know, yeah we are gonna have to make it look like we are tough on you, but here are the questions and/or the policy issues we will be asking you. Wink, wink. Now of course, no one would ever believe that FOX would set it up for Kamala. No one, that is, but we former FOX viewers who understand exactly what is going on. It will be reported that Kamala has entered the belly of the beast, FOX news, is being challenged like never before and SHAZAAM comes out looking brilliant and presidential. Right people? She's smart. She's capable. She is definitely a Commander-in-Chief. The October surprise! Baier and FOX, we got your number. I will never, EVER, forget watching him on election night 2020. Never.

The Harris campaign is imploding. This is a last ditch effort to show the voters that she is not a babbling idiot. I suspect that Baier will ask her some tough questions and actually do some follow ups after her word salad, as he doesn't want to be seen as a political activist.

OK, I'll be the contrarian here. Until I stopped watching TV news altogether years ago, Baier's hour was a nightly ritual. I thought he did a good job covering the stories the other anchors buried. Since then, from what I've read and clips I've seen, he still goes where his competitors don't--though maybe not as much as our side would like. Arizona? Bad move. Rush to be first or something more nefarious? I find it hard to attribute it to the latter. I think Baier values his reputation as balanced and was stung by the criticism. I never had the impression he was taking sides, that he hated Trump and was shaping the news to diminish DJT. Did he report on stuff detrimental to the man? Of course. Does that make him a RINO or worse? I don't think so. Some of the comments here about Baier seem over the top to me. I have a relative who teaches political science at a university. At the end of every semester, students seek him out to ask whether he's left or right. They ask because during the semester he'll take the other side of any opinion the students offer. He doesn't believe it's his job to steer them one way or the other; he wants them to come to their own conclusions. He is not an advocate. I see Baier in the same light.

I appreciate your comments #16 but I don't think Bret Baier has been as neutral as described. I am also very concerned that Kamala Harris is going to receive softball treatment. The vitriol that has been aimed at Donald Trump is much worse than what I remember of any candidate and that includes Sarah Palin. That alone was despicable. The mainstream media has double standards and I don't see Bret Baier being any different. After all, how is it that Jill Stein can question the election in 2016 where three states had to do recounts and J6 is considered an insurrection? I question Bret Baier's actions in the 2020 election. So now I am to trust this interview with Kamala Harris will be fair and balanced? I am not where you are #16.

By the way, I am where #9 is. Just look at the title of this article listed below this one: "Biden-Harris Admin Paves Way For Bureaucrats To Take Gender-Confused Kids From ‘Non-Affirming’ Parents." Not only do I want Bret Baier to talk about the plagiarism but how about the story coming to light, if true, about Tim Walz grooming a couple of students. I have to tell you everything Donald Trump did or does is put through a microscope. Russian collusion, impeachments, trials, etc. One of the civil trials is about a woman who claims Donald Trump raped her in 1996 or whenever. He was never afforded a criminal trial and wa-la, the statute of limitations in New York doesn't apply any more. I just purchased a book by Lyza Terkeurst titled "I Want To Trust You But I Don't" and that is where I am at with Bret Baier and Fox News. Basically speaking that is where I am with most of mainstream media.

Some posters here have reminded us of what Baier and his co-host did in 2020. No need to further rehash that. I would like to remind everyone, however, that Fox News lost its editorial compass when it fired Roger Ailes (regardless of Ailes' other issues) and with Rupert Murdoch now in complete dotage mode, Murdoch's sons with woke, hen-pecking wives are now at the reins. Let's recall that in 2020, one of those wives gleefully tweeted about Fox having assisted in Trump's defeat. The same Murdoch sons are the ones negotiating terms and conditions with the Harris campaign. So anyone who thinks this interview will not be staged should have a cranial examination...

So, lefty Baier will feed her some real hard ball questions such as what she eats, how long she sleeps etc. Trust me, he had to hand over the questions he will ask. She was interviewed by some sports people, and they stated that they had to hand over the questions beforehand and they were mush. Lefty Baier is as bad as Hume who claimed bidet's last shouted state of the union speech was the best he had ever heard. Right. So will be the claim that this was the toughest question interview this so-called prosecutor has ever faced. Right.

So let me understand. Some posters distrust Baier because of the Arizona call and refuse to watch his newscast. Fair enough. If you tune into the hour on a regular basis and believe Baier tilts left, that is a supportable position. But if you rely for your opinion of Baier solely on what others say and what you've believed for years, that is not a supportable position. I appreciate # 16's comment suggesting it's OK to have a different opinion on such a matter. No vituperation, no name calling. I have been a card-carrying conservative since Goldwater. I find it offensive when someone suggests that because I don't fall in line with the prevailing view, I'm a RINO or worse. Intolerance on the left, I expect. On the right, depressing.

Earlier today, I wrote that the presidential race appears to have shifted slightly this month in terms of national poll results, and perhaps more substantially in the betting markets. The real currents of public opinion that matter don't take place on a national basis, however; they take place in the states where the election will be won and lost. As RCP notes, the trends look different in those two contexts. Kamala Harris leads in the aggregate national polls by 1.7 points, which sounds like good news for Democrats until one looks at the historic trends in the last two cycles. On this date

“Transphobia is child abuse,” Alex Roque, who runs the Ali Forney Center for homeless LGBTQ youth in New York City, asserted on a U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) webinar last fall. In less than three minutes, he cast a vision for completely transforming child protective systems nationwide. Family rejection of a child’s gender identity cannot be dismissed as a personal view, he argued. Non-affirmation must be treated as abuse. “If they were denying them food or denying them access to school or denying other things, there would be headlines,” Roque continued. “There would be prosecution.”

Democratic vice presidential nominee Tim Walz’s wife discussed sexual orientation in the classroom as a high school teacher, and spoke to at least one student about his sexuality before he had told his parents he identified as gay, the student said during a campaign event aimed at LGBTQ voters. Jacob Reitan, a former student of Gwen Walz when she taught at Mankato West High School in Minnesota, has said on numerous occasions that Gwen Walz told his entire class “on the very first day” of sophomore year that her class was a safe place for any student that identified as gay or lesbian.

Vice President Kamala Harris launched into a bizarre explanation about stars and constellations to explain former President Donald Trump's actions. During an interview with Roland Martin released Monday, the commentator asked Harris to react to former Trump's frequent derision of big cities with large black communities, like Detroit, Chicago and Washington, D.C. 'I talked with somebody once who said, ''You know, if you just look at where the stars are in the sky, don't look at 'em as just random things,'' she said. 'If you just look at 'em as points, look at the constellation - what does it show you?''

The Grand Rapid City Clerk’s Office has announced that it is resending 100 absentee ballots after the original ballots mysteriously disappeared in the mail. Grand Rapids City Clerk Joel Hondorp revealed absentee ballots were sent out on September 26 but was later notified by 100 residents in northwest Grand Rapids that they never received them. Hondrop shared, “It’s common for some absentee ballots to get lost because the United States Postal Service has many moving pieces.” He added, “If a voter wants to know what the status of their ballot is, if they haven’t received it, they can go to Michigan.gov/vote and they can track their ballot that way.”

New Zealand’s defense minister issued stinging rebukes of what she said were “vile” and “misogynistic” online remarks by “armchair admirals” about the woman captain of a navy ship that ran aground, caught fire and sank off the coast of Samoa. “Seriously, it’s 2024,” Judith Collins told reporters Thursday. “What the hell’s going on here?” After days of comments on social media directed at the gender of Commander Yvonne Gray, Collins urged the public to “be better.” Women members of the military had also faced verbal abuse in the street in New Zealand since the ship — one of nine in the country’s navy — was lost on Sunday, Collins said. (The Hill) – The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) temporarily paused aid in parts of North Carolina this weekend after alleged threats targeted the agency’s personnel aiding in recovery efforts following Hurricane Helene. Ashe County Sheriff Phil Howell said in a statement Sunday that FEMA personnel in North Carolina’s “mountain region” were targeted by threats, prompting FEMA to take precautionary steps and temporarily pause aid operations at other FEMA sites. Neither Ashe County nor its surrounding counties were targeted by the threats, Howell said.
