In the landscape of American political journalism, a troubling trend has emerged this election season: the selective editing of the news. The latest case study comes courtesy of “60 Minutes” of CBS News, whose apparent need to repackage Vice President Kamala Harris’ words into a neatly clipped soundbite is raising skepticism about the intent behind it. What makes the whole thing even more troubling is that they’ve withheld the full, unedited transcript of Kamala’s interview. They should have released it not because the Trump campaign labeled it “deceptively edited,” but because journalistic ethics demanded nothing less

One of the few bright lights on the channel formerly known as the Clinton News Network has been conservative strategist and Trump supporter Scott Jennings. Time and again, he has gone into the lion’s den to take on deranged leftists.
On Sunday morning, Jennings was brought on CNN’s State of the Union program to discuss the state of the presidential race. As TGP readers know, Kamala Harris has had one of her worst weeks as a candidate, and Tim Walz’s comical efforts to make himself relatable have only made things worse.
Jennings began by mocking the Harris-Walz campaign’s difficult week, pointing out the unfavorable headlines, Harris’s falling poll numbers,

In endorsing Kamala Harris, The New York Times said many strange things, starting with the headline. It called Harris “The only patriotic choice for president.”
Color me curious because the Times frowns on anyone who identifies as an American patriot. The Gray Lady’s knees jerk at a word it associates with being a white racist who has a blue collar job and lives in a fly-over state. (Photo) For the snooty jet set, patriotism is for suckers and Donald Trump supporters.
Yet here is the Times draping Harris in red, white and blue. It’s as phony as her claim that she’s “fighting” for the middle class.

A friend and business partner of the alleged third would-be Trump assassin Vem Miller has spoken out – telling DailyMail.com he is a full-blown Trump supporter and slamming police for 'not understanding he's one of us'.
Right-wing documentarian Mindy Robinson said Miller has been a MAGA activist for years, had no intention of killing the former president, and said she has been to several pro-Trump events with him.
In an exclusive interview with DailyMail.com, Robinson described Miller as a journalist and documentarian.

In a move that should surprise no one considering that the Biden-Harris regime has treated the Border Patrol like dirt, the National Border Patrol Council announced Sunday at a campaign rally in Prescott, Arizona, that they were throwing their support behind Donald Trump. Union president Paul Perez minced no words as he eviscerated Kamala Harris for her utter failure to stem the flow of illegal immigrants into the country:
If we allow Border Czar Harris to win this election, every city, every community in this great country, is going to go to hell. The untold millions of people, unvetted, who she has allowed into this country

There was a special focus by GOP vice presidential nominee, Senator JD Vance (R-OH) at a campaign event in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, on Saturday; since it was held at a manufacturing company that supplies the U.S. military. He brought up not only the shoddy way the Biden-Harris administration's Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) has treated vets in the wake of the porous Southern border crisis, but that the botched U.S. troop withdrawal from Afghanistan remains a shameful and telling legacy of the sitting vice president's ongoing negligence.
Vance spoke to supporters "at JWF Industries, which supplies "Department of Defense prime contractors with reliable, on-time fabrications and sub-assemblies,' according to its site".

He didn't waste time getting straight to the point of why this election matters, and he charged Americans to get off the sidelines and be decisive about the future they want for our country.

I have spoken with three Democratic operatives behind the scenes who all believe the race is slipping away from Vice President Kamala Harris. They offer four major reasons why this is happening.
The first is Harris herself. She is simply not a very good candidate. She lacks confidence and is seemingly terrified to take any unrehearsed or unvetted policy questions. This liability is not a surprise to those who follow politics closely, but is a new concern for a number of voters. This unsteadiness and insecurity were initially on display when she was the first candidate to embarrassingly flame out of the 2020 presidential primary. Now, in a deja vu moment

As if Tim "Knucklehead" Walz's overzealous Elmer Fudd, twitchy leg routine wasn't bad enough, we now have to deal with his rather odd, preachy wife. Gwen Walz has previously made headlines for her bizarre reaction to the violent George Floyd protests of 2020 that were allowed to fester by her husband, implying that she enjoyed the smell of St. Paul burning.
“I could smell the burning tires, and that was a very real thing,” Walz said of the BLM protests that swept Minnesota and beyond, including the area near the governor’s home in St. Paul.

Given that many of the observations I connected dots on were laying wide open for everyone to see naturally people in both campaigns see them as well. Hence the desperation on Team Harris is beginning to border on all out panic.
Because of this former President Obama suited up and spent a portion of his time this week in Pennsylvania, an absolute must win state for Harris. This next week former President Clinton gets his turn.

You can’t polish a tyrd, but you can distract from the fact that it is a tyrd…but only for a while. Sooner or later, the emperor has no clothes, the sheep runs out of wool, and you’re left standing there with a tyrd. That’s where the Democrats are now.

Washington — Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas said Sunday that disinformation surrounding the election, along with false claims about the government's response to recent hurricanes, is "extremely damaging."
"It causes people to lose confidence in the integrity of the election system, and we need people in positions of authority to actually communicate accurate information to the voting public," Mayorkas said on "Face the Nation with Margaret Brennan" on Sunday.
The comments came in response to new CBS News polling, which showed that 65% of Trump voters believe the Biden administration has tried to increase the number of migrant crossings at the southern border.

The scandal engulfing CBS' 60 Minutes over its edited interview with Kamala Harris has turbocharged fears that the Democrat is being shepherded into the White House by a liberal media increasingly desperate to cover for her shortcomings.
The presidential race has been dogged by allegations of media bias since the moment Harris unseated Joe Biden as the Democrat pick in the wake of his disastrous debate with Donald Trump in June.
Apart from glowing magazine profiles and softball interviews with handpicked reporters, the VP has largely side-stepped the media exposure that candidates traditionally allow.

Moviegoers across the country have fired The Apprentice.
The controversial Trump biopic — which portrays the young Donald Trump as a rapist — is set to gross around $1.5 million on its opening weekend. That’s an embarrassingly low figure given the movie received a wide release on 1,740 screens, for a per-screen average of about $862.
Since most screens feature multiple showings a day, that means from late Thursday to Sunday, there was an average of around five people per showing — in other words, mostly empty theaters.

Trump stretched what could have easily been a 30-minute automotive-related policy speech into a two-hour event that covered a lot of ground. Yet, the members of the elite Detroit club, composed of business and other community leaders, seemed to thoroughly enjoy what they heard. They told me as much afterward.
The roughly 1,000 attendees applauded throughout and laughed at Trump’s jokes. And they appreciated what he said about protecting U.S. jobs and creating

After watching Vice President Kamala Harris’s incredible slog of a town hall-style interview Thursday on Univision, there’s absolutely no way her support among Latino U.S. voters is going to do anything but bottom out.
That was the most excruciating hour-long campaign session I can recall and it’s not even close. The peak of the event was when she hollered at a non-English speaker who asked an innocuous question about the Democrat primary process, which Kamala skipped over before being hoisted up as the party nominee.

Kenan Thompson, who played "Family Feud" host Steve Harvey in the skit, asked Maya Rudolph, who has appeared as Harris over the last few weeks, why she wasn't winning in a landslide. Rudolph responded, "That’s a question I scream into my pillow every morning."
Thompson's first "Family Feud" question asked his contestants to name something that people would keep in a glove box.

Vice President Harris is underperforming the last three Democratic candidates for the White House among Latino voters while her GOP competitor, former President Trump, maintains his support among the critical group of voters, a new survey found.
The survey, conducted by the New York Times / Siena College, found Harris has slipped into low territory for Democrats.//snip//Throughout his three presidential campaigns, Trump has made immigration a focus. He’s targeted migrants for “invading” the country and took aim at the U.S.-Mexico border.
The survey also found that most Hispanic respondents don’t feel like Trump is talking about them when he speaks on immigration.

J.D. Vance left a New York Times reporter stunned by dismantling the argument that illegal immigrants are essential to the U.S. economy.
The Senator made the case that a simple solution to the migrant crisis would be to employ 7 million male Americans who have dropped out of the labor force, rather than relying on the annual inflow of approximately 2 million undocumented migrants.
Vance says he doesn’t think America needs to rely on cheap immigrant workers and advocated for Donald Trump’s proposal to deport all undocumented people living illegally in the U.S.

With just weeks before the 2024 presidential elections, securing a fair and honest election should be the top priority for states— except for Arizona.
Arizona Secretary of State Adrian Fontes is moving forward with allowing 218,000 people with unconfirmed citizenship to vote in the federal election despite concerns illegal immigrants have been peddled into the U.S. to boost votes for the Democratic candidate. Under 2024 state law, Fontes revealed the number of registered voters but never provided the required legal proof of citizenship. The Democrat revealed last week that that number had doubled, describing it as an “evolving situation.”

Mika Brzezinski of MSNBC’s Morning Joe seems to be coming to grips with the fact that it is looking ever more likely that Donald Trump is going to win the election and she is not happy about it.
During a recent monologue, where Mika seemed to be on the verge of tears at certain moments, she said that it’s fair for Democrats to be ‘incredibly depressed’ and discouraged.
She also launches into a fierce defense of Kamala Harris, claiming that she is doing everything she can to connect with voters.

In one of the most dramatic, high-risk space flights to date, SpaceX launched a gargantuan Super Heavy-Starship rocket on an unpiloted test flight Sunday and then used giant "mechazilla" mechanical arms on the pad gantry to pluck the descending first stage out of the sky in an unprecedented feat of engineering. The Starship upper stage, meanwhile, looped around the planet and re-entered the atmosphere over the Indian Ocean as planned, enduring temperatures nearing 3,000 degrees as it descended to a controlled, on-target splashdown. The spacecraft came through the hellish heat of re-entry in relatively good condition, protected by improved heat-shield tiles and beefed-up steering fins

Former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris are deadlocked in the latest national NBC News poll, with Trump bolstered by Republicans coming back home to support him after last month’s rough debate and a subsequent polling deficit, as well as by a favorable voter assessment of Trump’s term as president. These are among the findings of a new survey released three weeks before Election Day, which also shows Harris’ popularity declining compared to a month ago, after she got a big summertime boost; a massive gender gap between support for Harris and Trump; and voters viewing abortion as

On Saturday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “Velshi,” Harris-Walz Campaign Co-Chair Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) said that the problems in Springfield, OH are 2024 Republican presidential candidate former President Donald Trump “and his minions, the problems aren’t the people that have come to make our economy stronger, the people that have actually been able to help to continue to make sure that we got out of the big hole that he put us in after COVID-19 with his ineptness.”

I’m so old I remember when we learned about advertising fakery by ordering stuff like sea horses and x-ray vision glasses from the back of comic books. Younger generations caught on when they compared what they’d seen in the TV ads with the actual products. For voters this time around all they have to do is scan X online. The sea horse ads were better fakes than the Harris-Walz team is churning out. Of course, there is the candidates’ utter failure in public appearances -- such as they are -- to show Harris-Walz viewers that they are phony, unserious contenders for the highest offices in the land.

I recently wrote that the 2024 election won't be that close. Part of my thinking was that pollsters have yet to solve their "Trump problem."
The pollsters have tried different methodologies, different algorithms. and different ways to contact voters, all seeking to address the "missing Trump voters" that fail to show up in their polls but end up voting by election day.Everyone has their own theory about how to measure Trump's support but the bottom line is that we won't know how successful or unsuccessful the pollsters are until the voters are counted.
That's going to take a while, considering all the legal challenges from both sides that will be made.

Donald Trump has been endorsed by more than a dozen Medal of Honor recipients who served in three different wars.
Kamala Harris is bragging about being endorsed by Liz and Dick Cheney as often as she can. Wouldn’t you take the Medal of Honor recipients over the Cheneys if you had the choice?
If elected, Trump has promised to go after the woke ideology that has infected the United States Military. It needs to be done. It’s a matter of national security.

Former President Donald Trump ripped California’s liberal leaders at a massive rally in Coachella Saturday, after Hollywood movie star Dennis Quaid took the stage and told the crowd to “pick a side.”
“The radical left democrats have destroyed this state, but we are going to save it. We’re going to make it better than ever before,” Trump said to his supporters, many who braved the 100-degree heat at the outdoor rally.
“We’re not going to let [Harris] destroy our country like she did San Francisco,” Trump said to cheers. (Photo) “It’s a paradise lost, but we’re gonna bring it back,” Trump said adding, “Don’t worry about it, we’re gonna bring it back.

A comet that won't fly by Earth for another 80,000 years was captured in mesmerizing pictures zooming across the skies of South Carolina.
The once-in-a-lifetime comet, nicknamed A3, emerged from the Oort Cloud - a bubble-shaped, mysterious phenomenon that holds our solar system within it.
Stargazers anxiously awaited what they labeled the 'comet of the century', that was last seen 8,000 decades ago. And those who were lucky enough to catch the glimpse of history were able to view the incredible images.
Now, the comet visiting Earth from interstellar space will live on through the riveting pictures.
