As the presidential election quickly approaches and is already underway in some states such as Pennsylvania, I am surprised to meet Christians--including evangelicals, Catholics, and mainline Protestants--who tell me they feel they have no choice but to abstain from voting for either candidate. [Snip] A vote for Trump is a vote to better protect Christians, safeguard our children, advance a culture of life, and restore American sovereignty. A vote for Harris is a vote to prosecute Christians, confuse and mutilate our kids, adopt extreme abortion policies, and undermine the security of our homes and communities. [Snip] Staying home is not the moral high ground.

Dear Evangelical Christians: You are such CHILDREN. You seem to think a Presidential election should be a choice between good and bad. Kids (and I do mean kids, you ARE children), they never are. These elections are *always* a choice between bad, and worse... sometimes much worse. So, to keep your conscience clean you're going to sit this one out, and risk getting Ms. Much Worse elected. That is your right. But I tell you this: if you don't vote, you surrender your right to complain. So don't vote... but IF the next four years turn out badly for you, SHUT YOUR MOUTHS. No one wants to hear your complaints.

Where is all of this BS saying that Christians won't vote coming from.?
I know a few Christians, in fact I don't really know a lot of non-Christians and most of those I know are chafing at the bit to get to the polls, and vote for Trump.

It is difficult to believe MILLIONS of Christians don't plan to vote. If this is true, what is wrong with them!

#1~ “Dear Evangelical Christians: ...” / The article's citation was not confined to Evangelicals; it included Catholics and Protestants. FTA: “... I am surprised to meet Christians--including evangelicals, Catholics, and mainline Protestants--...”

I shake my head for the Trump hate I get from my Catholic friends who only vote democrat. In addition, there’s a friend’s wife who is a legal resident (British) and evangelical Christian who fears she’ll lose her American residency if Trump becomes president. Oy, vey!
Some people are so heavenly minded that they are no earthly.

Our Baptist congregation would crawl over broken glass to vote for Trump, led by our nationally-known pastor.

For anyone interested in a stark reality check about Christians and voting, there is a superb commentary available at the link provided below.

“To the 41 Million Christians ‘Unlikely’ to Vote This November: ‘You Need to Repent’”
Suzanne Bowdey - October 8, 2024
Considering the serious consequences of this election, the responsibility of Christians to vote cannot be made more clear or emphatic if wanting to be obedient to Christian virtues and Scripture’s teachings. As pointed out, “There is no candidate who is the full package because Jesus is not on the ballot. There is no perfect person running, ... God has used both righteous leaders and unrighteous leaders all through the Bible to accomplish His good purposes.” Without question: “The ultimate test of a moral society is the kind of world that it leaves to its children.” [Theologian, Pastor Dietrich Bonhoeffer 1906-1945]

Many years ago, the pastor of my church was giving the homily and touched upon an upcoming election.
He pointed out that not voting was a sin in itself.

Indeed, staying home is not the moral high ground—it is “conceding to a candidate who would actively work against Christians and the values that have made America the greatest light for liberty in the world.” The wisdom of anti-Nazi dissident, theologian, Lutheran Pastor Dietrich Bonhoeffer, hanged age 39 as the Nazi regime was collapsing: “Being a Christian is less about cautiously avoiding sin than about courageously and actively doing God's will.” “The ultimate test of a moral society is the kind of world that it leaves to its children.” “Silence in the face of evil is evil itself.”
