Killing Nasrallah

Original Article

Friday evening in the Levant, Israel targeted buildings in the southern suburbs of Beirut killing Hezbollah General Secretary Hassan Nasrallah. This operation represents a dramatic shift in Israeli strategy. Not only have they finally liquidated an adversary they’ve long been capable of killing, they’ve also turned a deaf ear to their superpower patron of more than half a century. But at this stage, heeding Washington’s advice in war is like taking counsel from the angel of death. Just as the U.S. is no longer willing or able to win the wars it commits Americans to fight, the Joe Biden administration won’t let U.S.allies win wars either.

Comments:

Israel fights as if their goal is to win.

"Wars are won by killing the enemy" Simple wisdom that has been known by leaders for centuries but is ignored by the weak and cowardly. Once again, the United States looks foolish to the entire world.

Hassan Nasrallah's son-in-law, Hassan Jafar Qassir, may have been killed in airstrikes in the Mezzeh neighborhood in Damascus on Wednesday, according to early reports published by Sky News Arabic. Hassan is the brother of Muhammad Jafar Qassir, who was killed in a strike in Beirut on Wednesday during the Iranian attack on Israel. Hassan's assassination is another severe blow to Hezbollah as its leadership has been slowly picked off in Israeli operations. Muhammed became a leading figure in the deliveries of Iranian weapons from Syria, and Hassan married Hassan Nasrallah's daughter, cementing their connection to Hezbollah and Iran.

The U.S. Department of Defense has announced that it is further reinforcing the Middle East defense posture by deploying three additional U.S. Air Force squadrons and ordering the USS Abraham Lincoln carrier strike group to remain in the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) area of operations. The measures are meant to deter aggression and mitigate the risk of a broader regional conflict, said the Pentagon, as the already high tensions in the area have heightened even more following Israel’s targeted assassination of terror group Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah in Lebanon.

Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has said his country's proxies stand with Hezbollah following Israel's claims that it had killed its chief Hassan Nasrallah. However, Tehran is limited in how it can retaliate, a regional expert has told Newsweek. The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) said on Saturday it had killed in an airstrike Ahmed Muhammad Fahd, the head of a Hamas network in southern Syria. The IDF then added that Nasrallah was "eliminated" in an airstrike in Dahiyeh, south of Beirut, Lebanon, on Friday. IRGC Brigadier General Abbas Nilforooshan was also killed in the attacks on Beirut. Khamenei has been transferred to a secure location inside Iran,

Texas and 16 other states sued the Biden administration, accusing it of attempting to unlawfully rewrite a federal disability law to include “gender dysphoria” in a newly approved rule. The lawsuit was filed on September 26 against the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) under the charge that its rule “upends decades of established federal disability law” by redefining “gender dysphoria” as a disability under the Americans With Disabilities Act and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act. The ADA defines disability as “physical or mental impairment that constitutes or results in a substantial impediment to employment.” The HHS issued a rule that states gender dysphoria “may be a disability.”

An appeals court slashed former President Trump's bond payment on Monday, saying Trump must pay $175 million within the next 10 days. Trump had previously faced a Monday deadline to pay a $454 million bond payment that came as a result of civil fraud allegations from New York Attorney General Letitia James. A New York Appeals Court, hours before the deadline to post the $454 million, lowered that bond considerably. The court ordered that Trump post $175 million within 10 days. Trump said he will "abide" by the appeals decision and post the $175 million bond.

A leading child psychiatrist has won a lawsuit after he was abruptly fired for comments about gender dysphoria. Dr. Allan Josephson, 72, was tapped to head the University of Louisville's Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry more than 20 years ago. In 2017, Josephson expressed caution about gender treatments for children - leading to his termination in 2019. After being hit with a federal free speech lawsuit, the Kentucky school argued it was within its rights to fire Josephson for the criticism, aired at a Heritage Foundation panel. Now that he's been vindicated, his message for academia is 'tolerance is a two-way street.'

A conservative appeals court raised concerns that Republicans’ arguments for forbidding the counting of mail ballots that arrive after Election Day require throwing out votes cast before Election Day. A panel of three judges – all appointees of former President Donald Trump – on the US 5th Circuit Court of Appeals also had tough questions at a Tuesday hearing for those defending Mississippi’s policy, the target of a GOP lawsuit, of accepting properly-postmarked mail ballots that are received by election officials within five days after an election. The Republican National Committee and others are suing -to tee up a case that could jeopardize mail ballots cast elsewhere in the country.

A New York appeals court is set to hear arguments in Donald Trump’s fight to overturn a civil fraud judgment that could disrupt his real estate empire and cost him close to a half-billion dollars. The former president and current Republican nominee has given no indication he plans to attend Thursday’s hearing in Manhattan. Trump’s lawyers are asking the state’s intermediate appellate court to nullify a judge’s findings. They contend that Judge Arthur Engoron’s verdict was “egregious” and should be reversed. A five-judge panel will hear the case. Each side has been allotted 15 minutes to argue. It is also expected to be livestreamed.

The IDF is anxiously following about 40,000 militia volunteers and mercenaries who came from various countries in the Middle East including Iraq, Yemen, and Syria, and are assembled in Syria, near the Golan Heights, awaiting the call of the Secretary-General of Hezbollah Hassan Nasrallah to join the fighting, Haaretz reported Tuesday night. Israel’s security establishment says that even though they are not professional fighters, it’s still a concern. “They are not elite fighters; Hamas Nukhba forces were not professional, and yet we have seen what a force of 2,000-3,000 armed men can do” “This is a risk we cannot take, and if necessary, we will also act in Syria.”

The war between Israel and Hezbollah has escalated to a new phase, and in neighboring Syria, there are many who are glad to see the repeated blows the Lebanese terror organization has taken in recent days. Many Syrians, especially the Sunni population, have not forgotten Hezbollah's brutal role in their country's civil war, where it indiscriminately slaughtered their friends and families. As part of the Iranian-Shia so-called "axis of resistance," Hezbollah supported the regime of Syria's Alawite president, Bashar al-Assad, fighting alongside Shia and Alawite forces against the rebels.

Washington— Donald Trump laid the groundwork to try to overturn the 2020 election even before he lost, knowingly pushed false claims of voter fraud and “resorted to crimes” in his failed bid to cling to power, according to a newly unsealed court filing from prosecutors that lays out fresh details from the landmark criminal case against the former president. JD Vance of Ohio, gave a steady and lawyerly presentation and was widely seen as the victor. Vance, as RedState previously reported, wiped the floor not just with Walz but also the CBS News debate moderators, who did what they weren't supposed to do at least twice in "fact-checking" Vance, only to have him refuse to be silenced by fact-checking them right back.

Two of the people familiar with the donations told Reuters that Musk's contributions to the organization, Building America's Future, had started by 2022. One of those people and a third source said the donations amounted to millions of dollars, significantly boosting a group whose advertisements and social media campaigns have criticized the Biden administration and progressive political platforms of the sort that Musk himself has increasingly denounced.
