It doesn't take an expert to know that Kamala Harris was out of her element during the softball interview with CNN. She's been avoiding interviews and press conferences for weeks, and despite finally agreeing to an interview with a friendly network conducted by a friendly host, she still needed her male running mate to accompany her.
But it should come as no surprise that a body language expert who analyzed Kamala's performance during the interview told Fox News Digital that Harris lacked both confidence and a presidential demeanor.
According to Susan Constantine, Harris frequently looked down during the CNN interview, which suggested that she was “not confident in what she’s saying.”

Looks like someone needs to say this for the hundred thousandth-and-second time: The United States is a constitutional republic, not a democracy. The Constitution makes it very plain. While the federal government has some democratic institutions (the House of Representatives - sort of) it also includes some very un-democratic institutions (the Senate, the Supreme Court) because the United States is not a democracy, and the Founders set it up deliberately to prevent government by direct democracy.
Leave it to MSNBC's execrable talking head Chris Hayes to neither know nor care about any of this. On Friday, he was in a bit of a snit over new polling showing

TAMPA, Fla. — Former President Donald Trump has shown his support for Amendment 3, Florida’s recreational marijuana amendment in a post shared on Saturday morning.
In a post on his Truth Social account, Trump said that despite people’s stance on the amendment, it will “happen through the approval of Voters, so it should be done correctly.”
The former President went on to say that State Legislature must “responsibly create laws” that will keep marijuana out of public places due to the smell before referring to “many of the Democrat-run Cities.” In the post, he argued that a Floridian caught with marijuana shouldn’t be criminalized when it is legal

Is Kamala Harris having second thoughts about picking Tim Walz as her running mate? If she isn't, she probably should be.
A new poll out of Pennsylvania is shedding some light on just how much of an own-goal that was. Before getting there, though, the topline is really good news for Donald Trump, showing him tied in the head-to-head and leading in the five-way matchup (which is more relevant). It appears Harris' momentum has been completely halted, with no perceivable bounce from the DNC. Bob Casey, the Democrat senator up for re-election in Pennsylvania, only being up two points is also a huge result for Republicans.

A federal appeals court rejected an appeal by pro-transgender advocates, allowing Alabama to keep protecting children and youths from transgender advocates.
The good news was matched by other events in Texas, Virginia, and Missouri where judges and university officials rejected demands from transgender advocates seeking to minimize the public’s recognition of the two male and female sexes.
The United States 11th Circuit Court of Appeals released a divided 173-page decision in which ten out of 11 judges took part, according to the Alabama Reflector.

This looks slightly more serious as an instance of political dishonesty than the Case of the Missing Big Mac, but maybe not by much. Apparently, a story told by Tim Walz about the George Bush campaign provoking him into a career in electoral politics has some serious holes in it. But is it far enough off from the truth to matter these days?
If a Democrat's origin story falls in the forest, will the media report it even if people are around to hear it?
Earlier this afternoon, investigative reporter Gabe Kaminsky dug into a tale told by Walz that claimed he had only chosen a career in politics

Brazil's supreme court on Friday ordered a nationwide suspension of Elon Musk's social network X after the company vowed to defy earlier court orders concerning content moderation and the appointment of a legal representative in the country.
Alexandre de Moraes, the court's top judge, has also ordered daily fines for people or businesses in Brazil that use virtual private networks (VPNs) or other methods to access X while the site is banned in the country, G1 Globo reported. The court issued a statement via its government website in Brazil on Friday, saying that it had ordered "the immediate and complete suspension of the operation of X, formerly Twitter,

Donald Trump says he will vote “no” on Florida’s abortion-rights referendum, after angering pro-lifers by suggesting that he would support the bill earlier this week.
Florida Amendment 4 would enshrine a constitutional right to abortion in the state. When asked on Thursday if he would vote for the ballot measure, Trump said that “I think the six-week [abortion ban] is too short. There has to be more time, and I’ve told them that I want more weeks,” leaving pro-life Republicans to assume that the president would vote for the referendum. Trump’s campaign later defensively said that he “has not yet said how he will vote on the ballot initiative”

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas - According to sources, Harris County Public Health Executive Director Barbie Robinson has been relieved of duty. She was appointed to the position in May 2021.
According to FOX 26's Greg Groogan, Robinson has recently faced heavy questioned about the administration of the DEMA non-emergency program and may have been doing private consulting for a third-party entity while on the Harris County payroll. Robinson was previously in Sonoma County as Director of Department of Health Services (DHS) for five years.
Harris County Administrator, Diana Ramirez released this statement:
Today, I made the difficult decision to dismiss Barbie Robinson from her role as Executive Director of Harris County Public Health.

A federal judge in Texas on Thursday allowed a lawsuit filed by Elon Musk's X against the liberal group Media Matters to proceed to trial after denying the group's dismissal request.
Musk's X filed the suit against Media Matters in November after the group published a report that showed pro-Nazi posts and antisemitic or otherwise hateful content on the platform appearing next to advertisements from major U.S. corporations. Several companies, including Apple, IBM, Comcast and Lionsgate Entertainment, paused their advertising in response to the controversy.
X pushed back on Media Matters' report, saying the group "completely misrepresented the real user experience" on the platform and manipulated the algorithms that curate users' feeds

Republicans in California are blasting a bill passed by the state legislature this week that would allow illegal immigrants to receive up to $150,000 in taxpayer-backed home loans, arguing that it will exacerbate the state’s housing crunch while also providing a new incentive for people to come into the country illegally.
“I didn’t know it was possible to make a border crisis and the housing crisis worse with just one vote, but Democrats found a way,” California Assembly Republican leader James Gallagher said on X on Thursday.
Republican assemblyman Bill Essayli called the bill “offensive,” writing on X that “California democrats love illegal immigration so much

State Rep. Shawn Thierry, a Houston Democrat who was defeated in her primary earlier this year, announced Friday she is switching to the Republican Party.
Thierry was ousted by primary challenger Lauren Ashley Simmons in the May runoff after she sided with Republicans last year on a handful of bills opposed by the LGBTQ+ community, including a measure barring gender-transitioning care for minors. She delivered an emotional speech from the House floor explaining why she broke with her party, remarks that went viral.
In a statement, Thierry said she switched parties because the Democratic Party “has veered so far left, so deep into the progressive abyss,
