Former President Donald Trump and his running mate JD Vance slammed the Democratic party for leading a “coup” against President Biden — with the Ohio Sen. saying if Biden isn’t fit to run for president he shouldn’t be able to carry out the rest of his term. The GOP ticket commented on Biden’s seemingly declining condition and the news that he would not be running for re-election in a clip that aired Monday morning on Fox News, telling “Primetime” host Jesse Watters that Biden shouldn’t get to step down in a way that is only beneficial to his party.

Vice President Kamala Harris flew to her first battleground state Tuesday after locking up nomination support from Democratic delegates, determined to prosecute the Democrats’ political case against Republican former President Donald Trump. Just two days after President Joe Biden dropped his reelection bid, Harris arrived in Milwaukee, where she was to hold her first campaign rally since she launched her campaign on Sunday with Biden’s endorsement. Harris has raised more than $100 million since Sunday afternoon and has scored the backing of Democratic officials and political groups, including congressional leaders Charles Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries.

Late last year, Donald Trump said if he wins in November, he will on day one close the border and “drill, drill, drill.” He’s now added to that list a promise to “end the electric vehicle mandate” upon taking office. It will be refreshing to have a president who isn’t beholden to crackpot activism. “I will end the electric vehicle mandate on day one,” Trump said last week during his acceptance speech, “thereby saving the U.S. auto industry from complete obliteration which is happening right now and saving U.S. customers thousands and thousands of dollars per car.”

Embattled Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle admitted on Monday that the near-assassination of former President Donald Trump was the “most significant operational failure of the Secret Service in decades” — but still refused to resign as she faced tough questions from lawmakers on Capitol Hill. “The Secret Service’s solemn mission is to protect our nation’s leaders. On July 13th, we failed,” Cheatle told members of the House Oversight Committee in a hearing. “As the director of the United States Secret Service, I take full responsibility for any security lapse.”

The continued funding of Iran's regime by the EU is crucial in bolstering Iran's ability to attack its neighbors and US troops in the region, both directly and through its proxies -- Hamas, Hezbollah, Palestinian Islamic Jihad and the Houthis -- and to accelerate enriching uranium to complete its nuclear weapons program. The regime's actions appear part of a broader strategy aimed at ultimately annihilating not only Israel but also oil-rich Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. While the EU loves to portray itself as a front-runner in human rights, often lecturing the world about those values and global security, its actions -- all mercenary,

It was odd on that first night when Joe Biden announced the FBI would be investigating the assassination attempt of Donald Trump, only a few hours after the failed shooting. How did the people around Biden immediately know something went wrong? Then things got even more sketchy when police reported the assassin, Thomas Matthew Crooks, was spotted and photographed acting suspiciously 30 minutes before the attempted assassination. Unfortunately, they “lost track” of him. To the commonsense observer, Crooks had to be wandering around the venue for quite a while. I mean, the scheduled start time for the speech was originally 5:00pm,

While best known as author of the hit memoir “Hillbilly Elegy,” which detailed the plights and concerns of Rust Belt voters, the Ohio Republican also has close ties to the tech industry. Prior to entering politics, he worked as a venture capitalist alongside the likes of billionaire Peter Thiel, who co-founded PayPal, Palantir Technologies and Founders Fund.

Seeking to assuage concerns among Democrats that he’s mentally incapable of taking on Donald Trump this November, Joe Biden held a “big boy” press conference during Thursday’s NATO summit — and did it not disappoint. Not content to just step on his own tongue more than once, the president spewed some of the most outrageous mistruths of his presidency (so far). From claiming Trump is his vice president to rewriting history on Afghanistan, the lies were almost nonstop. 1. In an obvious effort to protect impeached Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Director Alejandro Mayorkas, Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle pretended to testify Monday before the House Oversight Committee about the shooting of former President Donald Trump. Her obvious assignment was to stonewall, hide behind “ongoing investigations,” and simply refuse to answer questions she had the answers to. One question that was answered is a total bombshell. During her testimony, Cheatle admitted that sometimes radio communications between Secret Service details are recorded, but “we do not have radio communications” from the day of the assassination attempt.

Kamala Harris will likely be the next president of the United States – and that’s overall good news if you care about democracy, justice and equality. Joe Biden’s decision on Sunday to bow out of the presidential race clears the path for the country to elect its first woman and first woman of color as president. Even though the electoral fundamentals for this year’s election have always favored the Democrats – despite what numerous misleading polls have been showing (and with most of the news media reacting purely off those polls) – Harris’s selection will largely shore up the weaknesses that were dragging down Biden’s poll numbers.

Joe Biden dropped out of the race on Sunday afternoon. Everyone saw his post on X. In a follow-up message on X, Biden endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris for the presidential nomination, and Democrat leaders began lining up (with the notable exception of Barack Obama) to endorse her. The controversy over Biden’s dementia and ability to perform the duties of president appears to be over, although the nagging and quite large issue remains of whether he is able to perform the duties of president for the next seven months. And yet almost immediately, questions about the way Biden withdrew began to swirl,

The New York Times (NYT) editorial board wants Vice President Kamala Harris off the 2024 ticket because of “profound concerns” about her electability. The push to dump the nation’s first black vice president was posted just after President Joe Biden announced he would not run in the 2024 election — and it could threaten Democratic turnout in November. The board first provided some throat-clearing praise for Biden: By agreeing to step down when his term ends in January, he is greatly increasing the chance that his party is able to protect the nation from the dangers of returning Donald Trump to the presidency.
