Any hope in the White House that the attempt on Donald Trump’s life might have saved Joe Biden’s candidacy was surely eradicated yesterday. The president had a very bad day. There was the polling circulating among Democrats showing that a wide range of alternative candidates are ahead of Biden in battleground states.

I have noticed a handful of ugly posts (not here) about Vance’s Indian wife. Generally by posters who also disguise hatred of all things Jewish as criticism of Israel. FWIW, They tend to use Russian or Ukrainian idioms (albeit in English) that they don’t know don’t translate well to English, while using screen names that consistently refer to sports teams in America.

If DNC leadership has an ounce of sense, they have already created a lineup of people they intend to run in Joe's place as soon as he is pronounced unfit to go on and those people are chomping at the bit to be nominated. Every day that Joe hangs on makes their dilemma worse. I wonder how Kamala is going to take the news that she is not a wartime consigliere and she is out.

I believe it was Hillary who first brought up the suggestion that Barack Obama was born in Kenya. Somewhere in the long Free Press piece, the author attributes that to Trump. And we know that Obama’s early books said that he was born in Kenya in the author biographical sketch.

I'd say only Big Mike can possibly save the dems. And my only question about JD's wife is whether she is now registered as Republican. As of 2014, she was registered as a democrat, at least that's what I read somewhere.

Trump did NOT leave office in shame. He left office courageously. 70-80% of conservatives agreed there was massive, widespread fraud that handed the win to the vicious old husk occupying the White House. That left the majority of people believing the lie of the free and fair 2020 election and that is what Trump stood against by fighting the fraud and refusing to certify. THAT took great courage and determination. The change is not in Trump but from those who are now finally seeing a glimpse of the truth.

I don’t know anything about The Free Press. This is only the second post from there that I have noticed here. I didn’t read it. But the first impression, from a cursory glance at the headlines, blurbs and images, makes me wonder if it is a pot stirring mechanism for trying to control an agenda. #s 3,5 & 6 pretty much confirmed my impression. Thanks for your comments.

I read the article.. won't be going to this source again. Agree with others, they are trouble makers and half truth tellers.

It was odd on that first night when Joe Biden announced the FBI would be investigating the assassination attempt of Donald Trump, only a few hours after the failed shooting. How did the people around Biden immediately know something went wrong? Then things got even more sketchy when police reported the assassin, Thomas Matthew Crooks, was spotted and photographed acting suspiciously 30 minutes before the attempted assassination. Unfortunately, they “lost track” of him. To the commonsense observer, Crooks had to be wandering around the venue for quite a while. I mean, the scheduled start time for the speech was originally 5:00pm,

Donald Trump’s selection of Sen. JD Vance as his 2024 running mate is seen as a potential windfall for Silicon Valley — and major tech VCs are going public with their support. While best known as author of the hit memoir “Hillbilly Elegy,” which detailed the plights and concerns of Rust Belt voters, the Ohio Republican also has close ties to the tech industry. Prior to entering politics, he worked as a venture capitalist alongside the likes of billionaire Peter Thiel, who co-founded PayPal, Palantir Technologies and Founders Fund.

Now, she says she’s “scared shitless” about the future. “I’m like, am I gonna live with my parents forever because our economy is trash?” wonders Carroll, who speaks to me over Zoom from her childhood bedroom. “It’s terrifying.” She tells me about her boyfriend, a Christian like herself. She says they’ve been dating for three years and that she can’t wait to marry him.

Seeking to assuage concerns among Democrats that he’s mentally incapable of taking on Donald Trump this November, Joe Biden held a “big boy” press conference during Thursday’s NATO summit — and did it not disappoint. Not content to just step on his own tongue more than once, the president spewed some of the most outrageous mistruths of his presidency (so far). From claiming Trump is his vice president to rewriting history on Afghanistan, the lies were almost nonstop. 1. Rising Prices Biden claimed that “overall prices fell last month.” That statement is false. According to PBS News,

The record in this case reflects Mr Giuliani’s continued failure to meet his reporting obligations and provide the financial transparency required of a debtor in possession,” US bankruptcy judge Sean Lane wrote in his ruling. Lane also barred Giuliani from filing for bankruptcy again within one year.

The U.S. Department of State (DoS), the umbrella agency for the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), outlines their policy toward the American public through CNN. This truthful perspective is why all foreign governments regard CNN and CNNi as “state run” media. In essence, everyone around the world -except the American public- know that CNN is the State Dept. From that perspective, the viewpoints of CNN then begin to take on an accurate context. Now, having said that, keep in mind CNN is not necessarily always in alignment with the executive branch, even though the DoS is a silo within the executive branch of government.

Our senescent president had an uncharacteristically busy—and rather Trumpian—start to the week yesterday. First, Joe Biden called into his favorite cable show, Morning Joe, to complain about his party’s “elites” who think “they know so much more.” Then, he—or whichever anonymous adviser does this kind of thing on his behalf—sent Democrats in Congress a two-page letter underscoring his determination to stay in the race. In it, he reminded lawmakers that he won the Democratic primary.

The US neglect of vital security issues, from waning support for Ukraine and Israel, to its refusal to acknowledge the threat posed by Iran's nuclear programme, is inflicting serious damage to America's status as a global superpower. America's alarming non-confrontational policy towards the mullahs -- even asking Europe not to censure Iran for its growing nuclear weapons program -- has been a mainstay of both the Biden and Obama administrations. Their encouragement of Iran to acquire nuclear bombs has led the mullahs and their proxies to expand their malign activities throughout the region.

The White House admitted Monday that a Parkinson’s expert who’s visited the executive mansion eight times in as many months has evaluated President Biden — but said the exams only took place during the president’s annual physicals. The revelation was disclosed in a letter from Biden’s personal physician Dr. Kevin O’Connor hours after White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre refused to explain the flurry of recent visits from the Parkinson’s specialist, Dr. Kevin Cannard. “Dr. Cannard was the neurological specialist that examined President Biden for each of his annual physicals,” O’Connor wrote in the letter.

Former President Donald Trump said he doesn’t expect President Biden to drop out of the 2024 contest due to his “ego” during a prime-time appearance on Fox News’ “Hannity” Monday night. “I think he might very well stay in, and if he doesn’t – nobody wants to give up that way – he’s going to feel badly about himself for a long time,” Trump said. “He’s got an ego and doesn’t want to quit. I think Jill would like to see him stay, she’s having a good time. I’m hearing Hunter is calling the shots,” he mused.

As President Joe Biden faces a growing drumbeat of pressure to drop his reelection bid, a majority of Democrats think his vice president would make a good president herself. A new poll from the AP-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research found that about 6 in 10 Democrats believe Kamala Harris would do a good job in the top slot. About 2 in 10 Democrats don’t believe she would, and another 2 in 10 say they don’t know enough to say. Since Biden’s debate debacle on June 27, many Democrats have privately and even openly looked to Harris to step in and succeed Biden as the party’s presidential nominee.

Donald Trump may well have sealed the outcome of the 2024 election with a performance on Thursday night in Milwaukee that has largely been unmatched in recent American political history. The former president eschewed the polarization and division that has marked much of his rhetoric in the past. In his speech officially accepting the Republican Party's nomination there were only a couple of references to the 2020 election. Trump was able to hit on key messages when speaking about topics like inflation, and especially immigration, in ways that were compelling and arguably responsive to the fundamental concerns of Americans. I say this not to engage in hyperbole,

President Joe Biden feels personally hurt and betrayed by the way so many Democrats, including some of the party’s top leaders, have left him hung out to dry as he faces the biggest crisis of his political career, according to two sources familiar with his thinking. And privately, many of those leaders have expressed doubts about his path forward. Former President Barack Obama’s only public comment came the day after Biden’s disastrous debate last month, when he tweeted “Bad debate nights happen“ and talked about his former vice president’s virtues. Privately, however, Obama has concerns. Bill and Hillary Clinton have

For the first time, researchers have voted to eliminate scientific names of organisms because they are offensive. Botanists decided that more than 200 plants, fungi and algae species names should no longer contain a racial slur related to the word caffra, which is used against Black people and others mostly in southern Africa. The changes voted on today at the International Botanical Congress in Madrid mean that plants such as the coast coral tree will, from 2026, be formally called Erythrina affra, instead of Erythrina caffra.
