On June 3rd it was previously announced by her office that representative Sheila Jackson-Lee was battling pancreatic cancer. Today, her office announced she died. Cancer is horrible. While it is sometimes difficult to find resilient grace and appropriate words for prayer; that does not absolve us of the commands of our faith. I will pray for Mrs Sheila Jackson-Lee and her family. Understanding the path of light was fully within her control.

Several friends have died of this. Not a good way to go. But a person creates their own legacy. She created her own, and we know what it is. I won't recount it here, other than to say she could have been a whole lot better person.

Save your prayers for the long suffering people of the 18th Congressional district. Don't blame those voters. SJL was selected and installed by the Democrat machinery. The district lines have the most squiggles in the USA. Harris County is the most corrupt city in Texas, and has few peers nationwide.

This was a vile, race hustling, racist that did nothing but help to divide this country.
Good riddance.

God grant her eternal peace.
Anyone who will be overly saddened by this news might recognize that we'll never forget SJL in the D.C. swamp as long as Mad Maxine is still there .. They didn't particularly look the same; but their presence and functional roles seemed hard to distinguish at times.

Again, my prayers and condolences to her friends and family.
But there was a story years ago about how tough she was to her staff. It was a holiday recess, members at home, on vacation/junket and things were a bit relaxed at the DC offices.
There's a knock at the door of a Republican office. It's a staffer from SJL's nearby office. Seems they were celebrating a birthday and asked if they could borrow a knife to cut the cake.
The GOP staffer found a knife but as she was giving it to him, she expressed surprise that they didn't have a knife in their break room.
The SJL staffer said something like it wouldn't be a good idea to keep knives around our office.
Rest in peace, SJL.

Mediocre intelligence and never had a real job—her only legacy, ...a chronic race hustler.

FTA: "I will pray for Mrs Sheila Jackson-Lee and her family".
So TODAY we are allowed to pray? What if I decide to "pray for Ms Jackson" in front of an ABORTION CLINIC? Will I be arrested under the FACE ACT? Or am I permitted to do so today because the dems have given me permission to pray?

She's yet another poster child for abortion. If only her mother had one.

I was stunned to read that she had a B.A. from Yale and had a J.D. from the University of Virginia Law School. I would never have guessed.

Good point, #13 - and that was from 1972 and 75 -- before the reputations of both schools sank from malignant affirmative action? Yet she played the pathological race-hustler her whole career. Sandy the tip-stealing barmaid but with darker skin and less incoherent (but just as illogical) opinion race dynamics.

One of the worst CongressCritters to walk the halls of that institution, and our nation would be better off had she stayed in private life. Still, I am not pleased that she came down with this ailment and I feel no joy at her departure from this Earth.

I know it was a short illness (at least that's how it was reported), and the onset/the new knowledge of cancer is fluid, but she was still a representative when she died. That means she held on to her office until the end. Who was truly representing her district? Who voted in her absence? Why didn't she resign, if nothing else to take care of her health? How was her condition any different than biden's? It's just wrong that these people hang on to office with everything they have in them when their job is to represent the people who elect them (expect when your office is a given). When they're not able to do that, they should step aside so someone else can. It's wrong.
