Despite the fact that Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries bullied the DNC into a temporary delay in holding a so-called "virtual roll call" to nominate President Joe Biden weeks before the Democrat National Convention, the DNC decided today to stick to their plans to nominate Biden early and lock him in as the candidate in early August.
Chaos reigns still in the Democrat Party, as does the civil war that threatens to demolish the party even before they likely lose spectacularly this November. By now the vast majority of Democrats--if you believe the polling--want Biden to bow out of the race, and momentum has built

Given Joe Biden's issues, it often sparks the thought, "Who is running things?" since Biden seems not to know what is going on so much of the time.
Biden is now "isolating" in Rehoboth Beach, allegedly with COVID. As we noted at various spots coming back from Las Vegas to Delaware, Biden was not wearing a mask, and he had trouble even getting into a car at one point.
But just after 8:00 p.m. ET on Friday, Biden (or the intern who tweets from his account) began posting a slew of things about watching former President Donald Trump's RNC remarks because he was sick. If that were true,

Leaders of labor unions are reportedly backing away from President Joe Biden, suggesting they want another Democrat candidate in his place. Meanwhile, former President Donald Trump and his running mate, Sen. JD Vance (R-OH), are actively courting support from union workers who are increasingly out of line with the Democrat Party’s upper-middle-class leftism.
On Friday, leaders with Local 3000 of the United Food and Commercial Workers of Washington publicly demanded Biden quit his reelection bid. “If President Biden continues to demonstrate that he is unable to effectively campaign, and subsequently loses in November,

One of the problems with Joe Biden has always been is that he doesn't live in reality.
He makes up things that aren't true, in order to pander to audiences or to pump himself up.
He verbally attacks people who dare to challenge him, He often responds with lies.
But that not living in reality has carried over to his team and his family, I think, when it comes to the present situation that he's in, as top Democrats engage in an effort to shove him out.
Meanwhile, the leaks about what's going on behind the scenes continue. The campaign had an "all staff call"

Top Democrat powerbrokers are working behind the scenes to end President Joe Biden’s political career, according to multiple media reports, increasing the pressure on the president to step aside.
Two leaders of the rebellion appear to be Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY). Both are longtime allies of Biden, but after several devastating media reports on Wednesday, their alliance appears to be breaking apart over fears that the president’s refusal to quit the presidential race will lead to historic losses in down-ballot races.

I'm seriously getting whiplash with all this talk about whether Biden is dropping out or staying in. For the past day, it sounded like he was all but certain to be dropping out.
Right now? Less so.
For starters, Biden released a statement Friday indicating that he'll be back on the campaign next week.
“I look forward to getting back on the campaign trail next week to continue exposing the threat of Donald Trump’s Project 2025 agenda while making the case for my own record and the vision that I have for America: one where we save our democracy, protect our rights

What happened last night in Israel was unprecedented. While investigators are still gathering details, Israeli authorities believe that a car-sized Iranian turboprop drone launched by Yemen’s Houthi militia group managed to enter Israeli airspace undetected, flew over the American consulate in Tel Aviv, and exploded upon impact with an apartment building, killing at least one Israeli and wounding nearly a dozen more. Israeli officials believe that the target of the attack was the U.S. mission and American diplomatic personnel.
The drone, according to a preliminary assessment, was launched from Yemen. It flew over 1,000 miles

WASHINGTON — Members of President Joe Biden’s family have discussed what an exit from his campaign might look like, according to two people familiar with the discussions.
The overall tone of the conversations has been that any exit plan — should Biden decide to take that step, as some of his closest allies increasingly believe he will — should put the party in the best position to beat former President Donald Trump while also being worthy of the more than five decades he has served the country in elected office, these people said.

Democratic voters overwhelmingly chose Joe Biden to run for president as their standard bearer. Of course, he didn't have any competition. Any Democrat of stature — Bernie Sanders, Hillary Clinton, Elizabeth Warren — refused to take him on, and besides, none of them could make the argument they were any younger than the president.
Now the "party of the little guy" is ejecting the people's choice for president because the elites are struck dumb with terror at the prospect of being swamped in the House and Senate races this fall.
As long as it was just Biden's hide on the line, the elites could accept a close loss

A Russian court has handed down its sentence for Wall Street Journal reporter Evan Gershkovich after over a year of proceedings. The court found Gershkovich, 32, guilty of "gathering secret information" while reporting on a trip to the Ural Mountains city of Yekaterinburg. He has been sentenced to 16 years in prison. Prosecutors claimed Gershkovich gathered secret information on orders from the CIA about Uralvagonzavod, a plant about 90 miles north of Yekaterinburg that produces and repairs tanks and other military equipment.
The U.S. government classifies Gershkovich as "wrongfully detained," and is seeking his immediate release

Overnight, there was a global IT outage that has thrown much of the tech world into chaos. People using Windows systems, primarily for business operations, were greeted with the "blue screen of death" when attempting to log in. One of the first and largest systems to be impacted took down airline communications. American, United, and Delta all lost control and communications capabilities, leading to a ground stop for all departing flights. Flights that were already in the air were instructed to continue circling until the situation could be resolved.
