Corey Comperatore, the husband, father, and firefighter killed by former President Donald Trump’s would-be assassin last Saturday in Butler, Pennsylvania, was laid to rest on Friday.
Photos and videos show Comperatore’s casket leaving Cabot United Methodist Church, draped in the American flag. According to the New York Post, eight firefighters carried the casket out. Comperatore was killed that day, shielding his family from the bullets raining down on them.
(X's Videos) “He’s my hero,” his widow, Helen Comperatore told The Post. “He just said, ‘Get down!’ That was the last thing he said.”
Comperatore’s daughter also said her father died a hero.

The View's Joy Behar has been slammed for describing Donald Trump as 'very narcissistic' after he claimed he survived his assassination attempt because God was 'on his side' – with a growing mob now calling for her to be sacked.
The former president, 78, acknowledged his Christian faith as he addressed the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, earlier this week, marking his first speech since he was shot at by 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks last Saturday.
Behar, 81, criticized Trump's lengthy statement during Friday's episode, branding his words 'very unchristian' and 'disturbing.'

US President Joe Biden doubled down on his insistence that he will stay in the White House race, despite a growing Democrat revolt that raised speculation he could bow out as soon as this weekend.
“The stakes are high, and the choice is clear. Together, we will win,” the 81-year-old said in a written statement from the Delaware beach home where he is recovering from Covid. Biden vowed to return to the campaign trail next week, and took aim at Donald Trump’s “dark” speech accepting his nomination at the Republican National Convention on Thursday.
But his defiance came as six more House Democrats and another senator joined those publicly

Is there a shift coming?
We're seeing Democrats continuing to implode all over the place over their presidential candidate.
Meanwhile, Republicans have come together behind former President Donald Trump, and they just had a banger of a convention that even CNN's Van Jones had to praise because of the spirit it had. When even those on the left have to acknowledge the obvious, you know that the narrative is taking a serious beating and may be in trouble. Now, let's add one more to that narrative whomping.
CEO of Meta Mark Zuckerberg just made some surprising comments about the Trump assassination attempt in a new interview.

Mourners gathered at a Pennsylvania church Friday for the funeral of the volunteer fire chief killed at Donald Trump’s rally last weekend – as the deceased’s casket was carried from the venue draped in a US flag.
The casket of Corey Comperatore, 50, was carried by eight firefighters out of Cabot United Methodist Church as the deceased’s widow and other mourner’s looked on.
The husband and father of two was killed while trying to shield his family when a gunman opened fire from a factory rooftop during Trump’s rally at the Butler Farm Show grounds Saturday evening.

Since the October 7 Hamas terror attacks against Israeli civilians, Americans have had a disturbing look inside at what is really happening on college campuses across the country as many have devolved into cesspools of leftist indoctrination.
The naked anger and contempt for conservatives has extended into crazed theories about the failed assassination attempt on President Trump on Saturday.
College Reform reports that University of Virginia Assistant Professor Sethunya Mokoko shared a post on X suggesting that the failed assassination attempt was “staged theatrics” to garner “idiots’ vote.”
In a quote-tweet, Mokoko said that Trump’s secret service purposefully “ignored” eyewitnesses

NBC News correspondents at the Republican National Convention (RNC) have already interrupted two prayers, with the most recent incident leading to delegates telling the outlet’s reporter to “shut up,” according to Daily Caller White House News Correspondent Reagan Reese.
As the RNC kicked off Monday in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, NBC’s Vaughn Hillyard was seen apologizing Tuesday to host Jen Psaki as she attempted to cut to him as he could be seen in the RNC audience.“What have you been hearing from people there?” Psaki asked.
“Jen I hate to do this to you, but they just started a prayer and I don’t want to interrupt it in this crowd,” Hillyard responded

CNN political analyst John King broke down an electoral map on Thursday that showed President Donald Trump with a commanding lead over President Joe Biden.
King explained that Trump’s third presidential campaign is unlike his first two.
“He is ahead,” he said. “And you could even say he’s ahead in a commanding way that is growing.”
King showed CNN’s current projections that Trump already has enough electoral college votes to win the 2024 presidential election if only Republican strongholds and states that lean Republican are counted.
“If he just won the states on this map, that we have as either solid or leaning Republican, he’s already the next president of the United States.

Five days after the shooting that nearly took the life of former President Donald Trump, one of the surviving victims released a statement on the horrific scene that had played out at a Pennsylvania campaign rally.
James Copenhaver, who is just a few days from celebrating his 51st wedding anniversary, described his feelings on the shooting that upended what should have been a fun and peaceful day rallying for a political candidate.
Fox News anchor Shannon Bream shared the full statement in a post to X, along with a note stating that Copenhaver had expressed his desire to celebrate his anniversary somewhere other than the hospital — “No offense to the hospital.”

MILWAUKEE, Wisconsin — The contrast between former President Donald Trump’s path to completing the greatest comeback in U.S. political history and the Democrat’s disarray appeared stark this week at the Republican National Convention.
At the beginning of the week, it looked like Biden was in a strong position to overcome objections to his nomination. The assassination attempt on Trump paused Democrat infighting about Biden remaining atop the ticket. It dominated the news cycle, followed by the dismissal of the classified documents case against Trump, and then Trump’s pick of Sen. JD Vance as his running mate. Not one Democrat publicly came out against Biden from Saturday to Monday,

In 2000, as Democrats were attempting to steal the Presidential election in Florida, an article written by Jon Dougherty and David Kupelian titled “How Democrats Steal Elections” shed light on the tactics used.
What unfolded in Broward County was not new, but a replay of well-honed methodology.
The authors interviewed Bob Haueter, chief of staff to the California Assembly Republican Caucus, as well as Republicans such as former California Assemblyman Pat Nolan.
Open disclosure: Nolan was convicted in a federal corruption probe and upon release has worked with Chuck Colson -- another fallen-but-reformed public figure -- to reform the criminal justice system.

There has been no shortage of speakers at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee — and no shortage of speakers named Trump. RNC Co-Chair Lara Trump, daughter-in-law of former President Donald Trump, addressed the convention on Tuesday evening. Eldest son Don Jr. spoke Wednesday evening — though his 17-year-old daughter, Kai, stole a bit of his thunder. Thursday night, the last night of the convention, Eric Trump spoke ahead of his father's address, following moving remarks and prayer offered by Franklin Graham. Eric began by reflecting on his father's announcement to the family eight years ago that he'd made a decision that would forever change their lives.
