We keep hearing rumblings from our garbage ruling class about how not enough of our citizens are signing up for their progressive army to fight climate change, transphobia, and, occasionally, in defense of the United States. But defending America’s borders is apparently racist, so we’re not going to do that. The problem is that the normal Americans who make up our military, or used to make up our military, are no longer making up our military. Veterans are nearly unanimous – vets are telling young people to stay the hell out of our broken military. It’s a disaster. It can’t win a war.

My daughter turned down West Point at my urging. Every morning when I put my feet on the floor and then do stretches so my scar tissue doesn't cripple me, I am reminded that my military service was a waste of time and my body. We didn't fight to defend the USA -- which I would have gladly done -- we wasted blood and treasure for politicians who just used us.

I have two family members who are currently serving, both officers. One is Army in 'spec ops', I won't be more specific. One is USMC a pilot, that's enough info. Both were aiming, and may still be aiming for careers in the military. It will be getting more difficult for them, for certain. Both are serious patriots, but also smart enough to shut up about it and not get tangled up in the internal insanity of the military. Hopefully at some point, we clean out the anti-Constitutionalists and folks like my family members can be the basis for rebuilding a pro-USA, pro-Constitution new military.

Author makes good arguments. Personally, I got commissioned under Carter and ultimately held on through "the great social experiment of the nineties" until retirement. For most of those years the mission was clear: Cold War victory. Plenty of noble missions remain, but political leadership isn't interested nor respectful of those who would be called upon to execute.

Every person in this country should have to take a position on defending it, BUT since the reasons for having to defend it are often a result of the corruption, stupidity and sometimes evil intent of government representatives and all the support personnel of the Deep State in DC, put every one of THEIR names at the top of the list. Age, health will not be a consideration. If they can waddle up to the pig trough of DC money, they can serve in some capacity. So what if latrine duty is overstaffed.

The "forever warriors" learned the wrong lesson from Vietnam. They thought that the reason we "lost" the Vietnam War (lost is in quotes because it means something completely different to the "forever warriors" than it does to most people). The "forever warriors" thought we "lost" the war because of the draft. They thought that, if not for the draft, they could have kept the Vietnam War going forever. What they never figured out was that the U.S. lost the war because they never tried to win it. The same thing happened in Iraq and Afghanistan. They tried to keep those wars going indefinitely and eventually the American people had had enough. However, those lasted long enough that they thought they could allow the social engineers to use the military to social engineer the demographic which joins the military and now they have discovered that the demographic who "likes" to fight wars does NOT like it enough to join a military which tries to social engineer them into being people who don't want to fight wars (like in quotes because that's not quite the right word).

Here's What D.C. Just Took Away From Hunter Biden 8 replies

Hunter Biden can't practice law in the nation's capital as of Tuesday, another consequence of his conviction in Delaware on multiple federal felonies. Signed by D.C. Court of Appeals Chief Judge Anna Blackburne-Rigsby, the order cites "the indictment and jury verdict form filed in the United States District Court for the District of Delaware demonstrating that the respondent [Hunter Biden] was found guilty of three felony counts" appearing to be "serious crimes" as defined by the D.C. Bar rules. As the rules state, it is "professional misconduct" for a lawyer to commit "a criminal act that reflects adversely on the lawyer’s honesty, trustworthiness, or fitness as…"

Andrew Cuomo attacks anti-Trump lawfare

Andrew Cuomo was riding high as New York’s Attorney General and, later, New York’s governor until his own party “Me-tooed” him right out of office. That last experience seems to have removed the rose color from his glasses when he looks at the Democrat party (which is still his political party). That’s why, when he appeared on Bill Maher’s show, he attacked the so-called ‘hush money’ trial and lambasted both Biden’s immigration policies and his campaign. Too little, too late, of course, but it was still good to hear and nice to see the reprehensible Adam Kinzinger sitting there as glumly as a child who just lost all privileges.

The authoritarians and their ever-abiding media minions of the fascist far left have always striven to lie with language to further their socialist national agenda. Their most recent project is conniving to convince everyone that we’re a “democracy” instead of a constitutional republic — for several reasons, but the most fundamental is that if they can change the foundations of our Republic, they can change anything. The far left has always laid claim to a counterfeit “right” to change the definition of any word they choose for their momentary convenience. George Orwell hinted at this in his dystopian epic 1984, with his essay on “Newspeak.”
The Biden Disaster for Democrats, and

Joe Biden is currently shedding young and minority voters at breakneck speed, prompting concerned progressives to ponder the reason as to why this is happening. Biden has clearly been struggling with nonwhite voters, and that’s a huge problem for Democrats when you consider that four-in-ten Democrat voters are nonwhite. But while his lead has softened among black and Hispanic voters, it’s his bleeding young voters that has to be most distressing for Democrats. In swing states, which are the only states that matter in any presidential election, the vote tally in 2020 among voters under the age of 30 suggested a 23-point lead over Trump.
The real threat to democracy 6 replies

am really tired of hearing that Trump is a "threat to democracy." Democrats seem to be repeating this mantra endlessly. Actually, they are right, but you have to understand what they really mean. Let's make a distinction between two flavors of democracy: democracy: rule by the people “Democracy”: rule by Democrats, specifically by members of the Democratic party Trump is truly a threat to “Democracy.” When Democrats make this claim, they really mean that he is a threat to their ascendancy, but they want you to think that they mean that he is a threat to rule by the people. From the Democrats’ point of view,

WILMINGTON, Delaware — Yesterday, a 12-person jury was swiftly selected in the gun trial of Hunter Biden. Behind him sat First Lady Jill Biden in a show of solidarity. Seated next to her was Hunter's current wife, Melissa Cohen, and his half-sister, Ashley Biden, making the criminal proceedings feel like family court. An assembly of Secret Service agents surrounded the Biden family. Of the jury pool, many knew the Bidens in some way. It was like six degrees of separation: Delaware edition. One potential juror said he used to play squash with Beau Biden, Hunter's late brother, and competed in at least one tournament together.

When an elderly relative is dying and the inevitable finally arrives, it still hurts a great deal. From the beginning, I had no faith in the legal process that has convicted Donald Trump in New York. Taking into account the prosecutor, the charges, the venue, the biased judicial oversight, and the sui generis nature of the proceedings, it was pretty obvious the fix was in from the beginning. But his conviction is a depressing spectacle all the same. It felt like we woke up in a different country on Friday. Until the news arrived, I had not completely lost hope. After all, it was a jury trial.

Another criminal referral to the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) soon may be made by members of the U.S. Congress to investigate Dr. Anthony Fauci for lying under oath to Congress, which is a felony crime. Representative Jim Comer, chairman of the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability, soon may follow Senator Rand Paul in requesting that the DOJ to criminally investigate Fauci for lying under oath to Congress. Last week, America finally crossed the Rubicon from a nation of liberty and the rule of law to a banana republic thugocracy where the ruling party indicts, arrests, and imprisons its political opposition. The Rubicon is a boundary or limiting line. The expression is a few thousand years old, In 49 B.C., Julius Caesar led his army to the banks of the Rubicon, a small river that marked the boundary between Italy and Gaul.

An increasingly desperate Emmanuel Macron has warned the public that “civil war” awaits France if they fail to vote for his brand of centrist neo-liberalism in the upcoming legislative elections. Voting for either of the “two extremes” of the populist right-wing National Rally or the leftist-socialist New Popular Front will lead to “civil war”, Macron said in an interview in which he castigated the leadership of the two main opposition parties “and those who follow them”. The embattled French leader, who’s party is trailing in third place in the snap elections he called, said that the “response of the extreme right” to France’s current problems would lead to insecurity
