Holder worried Supreme Court will come
to ‘dangerous’ conclusion on Trump immunity

Former Attorney General Eric Holder said Wednesday he is concerned that the Supreme Court will come to a “dangerous” conclusion on former President Trump’s claim of presidential immunity, partly because it has taken time for the justices to reveal their decision. Trump has made the immunity claim on charges related to the federal cases he faces on storing classified documents at his Mar-a-Lago home in Florida and related to the 2020 election and the Jan. 6 riot at the Capitol.

I would make the argument that the pursuit of Trump over documents, that as President he has full and absolute control over, is EXACTLY the reason that Presidential immunity is called out in the Constitution. What we see is a federal bureaucracy being used to prosecute a president for essentially trivial acts. If a President were to be vulnerable to such legal games, he could be continually buried under harassing actions and make presidential action impossible. For a President to function, he MUST be immune to personal liability challenges from the Legislative or Judicial branches. The President's ACTIONS can be nullified when a court rules against him but he cannot be subject to criminal liability. In fact, a STRONG SCOTUS decision is required to blow lawfare completely out of the water. The abuse of the legal system against a president should be strongly proscribed.

Based upon the questions asked by the more sane justices on the SC, I expect there is going to be some level of immunity granted. That being said, the Democrats must remember the Harry Reid Theorem. Whatever they can do to Trump when he is out of office, the Republicans can do to Biden or Obama when they are out of office.

The ruination of our country has corelated to the consolidation of power in the executive branch. Laws and law making in congress migrated to "regulations" made in and administered by agencies controlled by the executive branch. The federal government takes our tax dollars and doles them back out to the states in accordance to compliance with the iron will of leftist Washington. The judicial branch has become a commune for partisan political hacks. And if the supreme court dares not cave to that same leftist will it must be torn down. There's a reason they fear Trump becoming a dictator. They have been shifting dictatorial power to the presidency which is why they have gone to such extremes to hold on to that position and unconstitutional power.

"Rustin" is a Netflix biopic produced by Barack and Michelle Obama. Bayard Rustin, the underappreciated black 1960s civil rights activist, certainly deserves an ambitious film about his life. After all, the 1963 "March on Washington" that culminated with the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s historic "I Have a Dream" speech was Rustin's brainchild. Rustin, in a matter of about seven weeks, assembled a team that promoted the march and handled the logistics. This included security, transportation, seating, a sound system, and providing water and restroom facilities for an expected 100,000 attendees that swelled to a crowd of 250,000.

There is good reason for Americans to be concerned about individuals from Afghanistan coming across our southern border. When Gen. Michael Kurilla, commander of U.S. Central Command, testified in the Senate Armed Services Committee on March 7 he issued a warning about ISIS-K, a terrorist group based in Afghanistan. "[V]arious groups in the Central Region retain the capability and will to target U.S. interests abroad in under six months with little to no warning," Kurilla said in a written statement to the committee. "We assess an attack on American soil would likely take longer," he said.

The Supreme Court overturned a Trump era ban on bump stocks in a ruling last week. Photo by Anna Moneymaker/Getty Images Conventional wisdom suggests that the Supreme Court, like the country, is deeply divided along partisan and ideological lines. But this overlooks the court’s historic recent run of unanimous decisions and the fact that the liberal and conservative justices often don’t vote as blocs. Court critics tend to respond to these inconvenient realities by saying something like, “Sure, but on the big cases, the culturally divisive ones, the conservatives form the majority and the liberals the dissenting minority.” This is obviously true sometimes: The Dobbs decision, which overturned Roe v. Wade, is a paradigmatic example.

The Russians are coming. Again. In a dramatic reminder that the Russians are seeking to intimidate the White House and launch a second chapter of the Cold War, a Russian nuclear-powered submarine, along with an accompanying flotilla of warships, recently spent five days visiting Cuba. In the event, the Oval Office missed the point; several of these vessels can deploy nuclear-tipped cruise missiles. Published reports suggest the Biden Administration's response is studied indifference, telling reporters that missile test firings off the Florida coast by the Russian vessels were routine. Hardly.

In this case, veteran Democrat activist-operative James Carville is openly calling for the creation of a White House-led "enforcement mechanism" to compel the lapdog media to directly help embattled Joe Biden beat Donald Trump in November. The Biden aides' plan wasn't good enough for Carville.
