WASHINGTON – The House Ethics Committee said Tuesday that it's expanding its investigation into Rep. Matt Gaetz, R.-Fla., to include “additional allegations” that the Florida lawmaker sought to obstruct the probe as the panel looks into accusations of sexual misconduct, illicit drug use and more.
In a statement, the Committee said it had difficulty obtaining information from Gaetz during the course of its 3-year investigation. It added that the officials reviewing the case have issued “25 subpoenas and reviewed thousands of pages of documents,” related to misconduct accusations.
The probe into the Florida lawmaker has been ongoing since April 2021. The ethics committee is looking into a variety of claims

Where's the investigation into Ms Omar's fraudulent immigration marriage and financial misproprities?
For every Republican with an "ethics inquiry," there needs to be two Dems facing the heat.

I recall someone saying that soon after they went to congress, a bunch of men broke into the house they were staying in DC. They lined up his family, and then presented him with t child who was obviously in single digits.
"Have sex with the child while we film it, " he was told. "Or we'll kill you and your family."
This probably is a fantasy, but, it demonstrates how far the Swamp will go to get control of new blood. Blackmail is the order of the day in DC, any way they can get it, and why so many promising voices go silent or betray us, once they are there.

Who is gonna investigate the wholly corrupt ethics committee? C'mon folks 3 years!
Shouldn't there be a 1year time limit on expensive fishing expeditions?

Say, I wonder when they will get around to "investigating" anyof the current and former House members who received taxpayer largesse to the tune of about $18,000,000.00 for paying off "sexual harassment" claims. Anybody have a guess? Anybody?

This signifies that if you run as a republican, you either better be squeaky clean, march in lockstep with the democrats or they will take you out.
This is a hallmark of corrupt third world governance.

The House Ethics Committee is evenly split between five Democrats and five Republicans. They haven't made one of the allegations against Gaetz stick since their investigation started over three years ago. Even the corrupt DOJ dropped it's investigation of Gaetz having sex with a 17-year old girl well over a year ago. The Committee is now dropping charges of "shared inappropriate images or videos on the House floor, misused state identification records, converted campaign funds to personal use, and/or accepted a bribe or improper gratuity." The new Committee investigation is that Gaetz "sought to obstruct their probe" into the false allegations of sexual misconduct, illicit drug use and more.

Sounds like a standard Democ'RAT 'politics of personal destruction' character assassination operation.
Accuse the target of some sexual wrongdoing -use sex rather than money because Sex Sells and low-brow 'news' outlets will run it to get 'clicks' (online), ratings (TV), or sales (hard copy) from their low-brow readers. As soon as one accusation wears out, bring up another, then another.
They did it to Donald Trump, they did it to Justice Clarence Thomas, they did it to Justice Brett Kavanaugh, they did it to one of their own, NY Governor Andrew Cuomo (I believe to knock him out of running for President against the HairSniffer)..... heck, they even tried it against Professor Emeritus Allan Dershowitz.
The 'Rats are really Sewer Rats. They are filth.

I'm not a fan of Gaetz, but where is the House Ethics Committee on the misconduct of Wigs Waters, Braids Jackson Lee, that idiot from NY who pulled the fire alarm, the Cortez twit, Rashita, the Somaliant, to point out a few of the obvious? The list of congresscritters engaging in misconduct probably includes more than half of the 435 members.
