Car manufacturer Stellantis is recalling more than 200,000 SUVs and pickup trucks due to a software malfunction that may cause a vehicle's electronic stability control systems to fail.
The company is claiming the problem is caused by a defective anti-lock braking system, which is sometimes deactivating the stability control system.
The impacted models are the 2022 Dodge Durango, and the 2022 Ram 2500 and 3500.
The Ram 2500 is the model with by far the most vehicles impacted. Nearly 158,000 of the 2500 pickups will be recalled, while just over 500 Ram 3500s are affected.
Around 53,000 Durangos will be recalled.

During Sunday’s broadcast of New York City radio WABC’s “The Cat’s Roundtable,” long-time Democrat political strategist James Carville admitted remorse for President Joe Biden’s decision to run for re-election in 2024.
Carville told WABC host John Catsimatidis there was a deep bench if Biden should be forced out but acknowledged he thought the incumbent president should have considered sitting this one out.
“And tell me, we both talked over breakfast that, if anything — if President Biden decides not to run or is ill and can’t run, where does the Democratic Party go?”

Governor Kristi Noem (R-SD) said Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union” that former President Donald Trump’s guilty verdict by a Manhattan jury on 34 counts of falsifying business records was because of a “rigged judicial process.”
Noem said, “Well, his message has clearly been that his only vengeance will be America’s success. He is not interested in going after political opponents. He is interested in going back to the White House and working for the American people and their families, bringing down inflation costs and that’s what I’m hearing overwhelmingly here in Wisconsin.”

Former and potentially future President Donald Trump is performing quite well with his fellow Republicans and also looks to be winning over Independents for the November election. President Joe Biden's reelection campaign hasn't given up on trying to appeal to anti-Trump Republicans, though, as they've now hired former Rep. Adam Kinzinger's (R-IL) chief of staff, Austin Weatherford to lead Republican outreach. As CNN reported last Thursday, also mentioning some other names [Emphasis added]:

The Las Vegas Police Protective Association (LVPPA) has officially endorsed former President Donald Trump for the 2024 presidential election.
The endorsement was announced by LVPPA President Steven Grammas just hours before Trump was set to address a massive crowd of supporters.
The rally, which took place in Sunset Park, Las Vegas, saw thousands of attendees lining up as early as 6 am, demonstrating unwavering support for the former president.
This event marks President Trump’s first public rally since his controversial conviction in the politically motivated sham trial in New York.

Despite President Joe Biden touting his economic “accomplishments,” a new report reveals that there are more foreign born workers in the United States than American workers. New Bureau of Labor Statistics data released this week found that there are 637,000 non-American citizen workers in the country. On the contrary, nearly 300,000 native-born Americans lost their jobs.
Economist E.J. Antoni told The Federalist that the government has added a significant amount of jobs that are primarily only held by foreign born workers, leaving Americans struggling to look for jobs.

I was about ten years old when I first learned about Joan of Arc, the 14-year-old peasant girl who, against all odds, led the army of France against the British in the Hundred Years War. I had checked out from our school library a little cloth-bound book (A Candle in the Sky) that told her story, and I must have read it a dozen times, she so fascinated me. Her audacity, her courage, her unwavering faith was both inspiring and horrifying to my young mind. I am now aged well beyond that point, and she still haunts me.
On May 30th of 1431 Joan of Arc was burned at the stake.
