When people gripe about paying taxes and the government being a poor the absolute worst possible capital allocator, this is what they are talking about: $7.5 billion in investments for electric vehicles has - in two years - produced just 7 charging stations across four states.
The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, signed by Biden in November 2021, allocated $7.5 billion for EV charging, the Washington Post writes. Of this amount, $5 billion went to states as "formula funding" for the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure program to establish a network of fast chargers along major highways.

In other news from the green energy fraud front, a 5,200 solar farm is approved for Cheyenne, WY. All the generated power is to be routed to tech companies —- Microsoft and Meta. Cheyenne residents have been sold out by their city council and county commissioners.

$5billion dollars that went to blue states who then raised salaries for their employees and paid out loans to favored constituents. What a racket.

You think you hate politicians enough but, you don't.
Feel free to vote 'your guy/girl' out whenever a primary comes along. There's only about 6 or 7 worth keeping so the odds are you will be doing everyone a favor.

Calculate the cost of a typical charging station. Divide the $7.5 billion by this value. The result should approximate the number of stations this should have built. Then tell these thieves: not another penny until you have or very nearly have that number of stations UP AND RUNNING. OF course, that assumes that the govt. aren't in on thievery. SO...never mind.

I just saw a video on X where the charging cords on about 20 stations were cut for the copper. So build away, theives are counting on it.

Remember when those newfangled horseless carriages first came out and the government spent millions of dollars building gas stations along every road?
Yeah, me neither.

I nominate this program for "The Most Crooked Government Program EVER". Definite leader in the clubhouse at this point.
There need to be a bunch of folks hunted down and arrested for their fraud and corruption on this.

“More Americans are buying EVs every day — with EV sales rising faster than traditional gas-powered cars — as the President’s Investing in America agenda makes EVs more affordable, helps Americans save money when driving, and makes EV charging accessible and convenient," a White House spokesperson added.
Where did the WH get those numbers, Ford, GM, dealerships?

Which one of Biden's friends got the contract to build 7 stations for 7.5B? That's a good deal and I want to but stock in the company that gets a Billion bucks to build one charging station.

Re #11, nothing the WH puts out is EVER factual. We shouldn't be surprised at the next bundle of lies that they shovel out the door.

I have to respectfully disagree with #10.
As I see it, this is but a tiny part of The Great Climate Scam, which to me is the Largest Scam in at least recent history, involving pretty much the whole of the Americas, Western Europe, Australia, and points beyond.
Note that Russia, the largest country in the world, is taking no part in this nonsense, and the two most populous countries, India and China, are also abstaining from participating.
The last I read, China is putting TWO new large coal-fired power plants into service EVERY WEEK, and India is also using coal as their primary fuel for generating electricity, with no plans to move away from it.

Reminds me of the billions of "infrastructure repair" funds that were spent, yet the roads and bridges are still falling apart.
