A federal judge in North Dakota ruled on Monday that the Biden administration cannot compel Christian employers and healthcare providers to pay for transgender surgeries and other procedures. U.S. District Judge Daniel Traynor ruled in favor of the Christian Employers Alliance, which had challenged the administration’s interpretation of federal discrimination law. Traynor, a Trump nominee, said the Christian groups were protected under religious liberty protections from being forced to provide “gender transition services.”

Democratic Rep. Adam Schiff and Republican Steve Garvey will advance to the general election in the hotly contested California Senate race, NBC News projects.
That means Democratic Reps. Katie Porter and Barbara Lee, who also ran for the seat, will be shut out of the general election. The progressives will also vacate their House seats at the end of the term. Under California’s rules, the top two vote-getters advance to the general election regardless of party affiliation.
In the final stretch of the race, the battle grew ugly between Schiff and Porter, the top-polling Democrats in the race. Schiff cultivated his national profile by battling former President Donald Trump

Former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley is projected to win the Vermont Republican primary in a surprise upset against former President Trump, according to Decision Desk HQ.
The victory delivers Haley her biggest win since the start of the GOP primary season. Until Tuesday, the only GOP nominating contest she won was in Washington, D.C. Seventeen delegates are up for grabs on the Republican side in Vermont.
Meanwhile, Biden was projected to win the Vermont Democratic primary; Democrats are expected to dominate the state this fall given that Biden beat Trump in 2020 there by more than 35 points.

A federal appeals court on Monday upheld a ruling that blocks the state of Florida from enforcing a law known as the “Stop WOKE Act,” a controversial piece of legislation passed in March 2022 that was aimed at combating the rise of ideas related to critical race theory being pushed in government-run schools and also private organizations. The law also restricted how public and private entities could conduct diversity and inclusion training. The legislation was a centerpiece of the agenda Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and Republicans in the state legislature were pursuing. It came about as nationwide debate on indoctrination and education gained more prominence on America's political landscape.

Donald Trump and billionaire Elon Musk met on Sunday as the Republican presidential frontrunner is seeking to woo donors to fund his cash-strapped political operation, according to people familiar with the matter.
The New York Times reported earlier on the meeting. Musk was part of a group of prospective donors who met with the former president, the paper reported, adding that it is unclear if the Tesla Inc. chief executive officer has decided to contribute to Trump’s campaign. Musk did not immediately respond to a request for comment. Musk is the world’s third richest man but not been a major political donor, especially considering the size of his fortune, estimated

President Joe Biden on Tuesday will launch a new task force to take on "unfair and illegal" corporate pricing, which Biden sees as a major reason why consumers are not yet feeling the impact of cooling inflation rates and a strong economy.
The task force will be jointly led by the Federal Trade Commission and the Department of Justice, two agencies at the forefront of the Biden administration's aggressive regulatory agenda over the past three years. "We're excited to be co-chairing the president's new Strike Force on Unfair and Illegal Pricing, which builds on the FTC's far-reaching work to promote competition and tackle unlawful business practices that are inflating costs

Corporate and government “addiction” to migration is damaging the productivity that raises personal incomes and overall national wealth, say economists cited in a report Monday by the Wall Street Journal.
“Increased reliance on low-skilled imported labor can lead to weaker productivity growth, which ultimately determines how fast economies can expand,” the newspaper wrote on March 4.
The article cited two dairy farmers in Wisconsin. One farmer favors cheap labor supplied by the government’s unofficial illegal migrant program. The second farmer, however, invested in robot cow-milking devices:

The American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) is planning to spend a $100 million war chest taking out Democrats who are viciously anti-Israel.
According to a report from Politico, AIPAC has set its sights on various anti-Zionist candidates across both the House and Senate as tensions and opposition to Israel's military campaign against Hamas grow within the far-left wing of the Democratic Party: AIPAC is expected to spend $100 million across its political entities in 2024, taking aim at candidates they deem insufficiently supportive of Israel, according to three people with direct knowledge of the figure, who were granted anonymity to discuss private meetings. The strategy has taken on new urgency

The US Supreme Court ordered former President Donald Trump back on the 2024 primary ballot in Colorado on Monday, the day before the Centennial State and 14 others pick their Republican nominees for president.
The unanimous ruling also overturns disqualification orders handed down by officials and judges in Maine and Illinois in recent weeks. The unsigned order found that only Congress, not individual states, can disqualify candidates for federal office under Section 3 of the 14th Amendment, known colloquially as the Insurrection Clause or the Disqualification Clause.
“The judgment of the Colorado Supreme Court … cannot stand,” the order read. “All nine Members of the Court agree with that result.”

Democrats and other NeverTrumpers are trying their best to keep Donald Trump off the Republican primary ballot in several states. Their best is not good enough, according to the Supreme Court.
If you have not done so, go and read Ed's write-up on the Court's decision.
The left is in meltdown mode. Everyone else is feeling validated for understanding that every state must follow the Constitution.
The Supremes ruled unanimously that Donald Trump may not be taken off the Colorado primary ballot. This is a timely decision given that Colorado is one of the states that votes on Super Tuesday, which is tomorrow. The Court needed to rule unanimously

UNITED NATIONS, - A team of United Nations experts reported on Monday that there were "reasonable grounds to believe" sexual violence, including rape and gang rape, occurred at several locations during the Oct. 7 attack on Israel by Hamas militants.
The team - led by U.N. special envoy for sexual violence in conflict Pramila Patten - visited Israel between Jan. 29 and Feb. 14 on a mission intended to gather, analyze and verify information on sexual violence linked to the Oct. 7 attacks. "Credible circumstantial information, which may be indicative of some forms of sexual violence, including genital mutilation, sexualized torture, or cruel, inhuman and degrading treatment, was also gathered,"
