The Lasting Damage of Bidenomics

Recently, Democratic Party-cheerleading economist Paul Krugman declared, “Inflation is over. We won.” This is like a robber shooting you and then declaring, “The coma I put you in is over! We won!” The truth is that the wild inflation, high interest rates, bank failures, and other economic harms of the last three years were all entirely avoidable and all entirely caused by President Biden and the Democrats’ arrogant and unwise policies. This is not “Monday morning quarterbacking.” Some of us were saying this well before the fact. My May 7, 2021 column (“Joe Biden, Economy Killer”) accurately forecast the inflation, rising interest rates, and rising government debt service

Not only did Biden raise the cost of living, that cost is not going to go down. We will not see a gradual lowering of the inflated prices back to where they were. That will never happen.

3 28 2021 Editor: Never thought I would live to see the day that an ignorant apathetic American population would willingly, adopt and elect, a government dedicated to the following proposition. We the People of the United States, in Order to destroy a perfect Union, forego Justice, accept domestic violence, defund the common defense, promote the general Welfare State and secure perpetual debt to ourselves and our Posterity, do relinquish and destroy the Constitution for the United States of America. We are now ruled, as opposed to governed, by a senile President and a radical Socialist Congress that has ignored the Constitution and rules by Executive order. The time has come to defund the government. Those of us paying the bills must stand up an d take back our country, if it is not already too late. "The best way to destroy the capitalist system is to debauch the currency," Vladimir Lenin, leader of the 1917 Russian Revolution. Today the presses are running 24/7 in order to fund the government, the money supply has increased 25% since the first of January, and the dollar, backed by nothing is falling in value. Can hyperinflation be far behind?

Krugman is Anthony Fauci of the economy elites. A lying know it all. It appears Paul doesn't understand inflation. It is an accumulating amount that is added on to the previous month, which was added onto the previous month, which was added onto the previous month so on and so forth. He acts like it is adjusted every month with a new single amount. Before covid I was paying $3.98 a pound for a chuck roast. It is not $7.98 a pound. I spent $35 on a roast for my son's birthday dinner. These prices are never coming down, they continue to get worse. EVERYTHING is more expensive. When you have millions in the bank like Krugman and Fauci it's not so bad. But for the rest of us, it's not so good. And with FJB cranking out more Monopoly Money to send to other countries (of course some nice kickbacks will be returning to the states) and our debt and inflation will just keep going up. Food, clothing, housing, energy, healthcare. Thanks FJB. And he wants us to tell him how much we appreciate all the hard work he has done for us.

Last week Republicans lost one of their precious seats in the House of Representatives reducing their slim majority to near invisibility. Interestingly, this did not have to happen. The vacancy giving rise to the special election in New York 3, was intentionally created by the Republicans themselves. A cynic might say with opponents like these, the Democrats can stroll through their victory lap. An influential group of Republican congressmen, including the Republican Chair of the House Ethics Committee, decided the behavior, or misbehavior, of their erstwhile colleague, George Santos, was unworthy of a Republican Congressman.

There is excellent news for the American industry, economy, and international trade sectors. The United States has vetoed one United Nations resolution calling for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, but President Joe Biden is reportedly proposing a separate ceasefire resolution that would also call on Israel to abandon its plan to crush the remnants of Hamas in the city of Rafah. He should proceed no further in this. Israel has come too far and made too much progress in the laudable goal of dismantling Hamas to stop now. Before Hamas massacred innocent Israelis on Oct. 7, there were 24 Hamas regional battalions in Gaza. These have been reduced to six, and they are in Rafah. The city must be taken. Hamas must not

Joe Biden has not only promised to veto any standalone Israeli aid, but he’s reportedly circulating a draft resolution within the United Nations Security Council that would compel the Jewish state to stop its ground offensive in Rafah and, effectively, give Hamas a pass. Beyond that, the U.S. is also reportedly thinking about circumventing Israel and formally recognizing a Palestinian state. In other words, while Ukraine is prodded by the United States to fight for every inch of its land, Israel is prodded to commit suicide. Indeed, anyone who dares to suggest the United States push Ukraine to negotiate a settlement with Russia is framed as a democracy-hating Putin shill.

Chancellor Olaf Scholz caused a stir with an almost casual statement: "My goal is that we finance the expenditure for the Bundeswehr from the general budget once the special fund has expired," he told the Süddeutsche Zeitung daily a few days ago. The "special fund" is the €100 billion ($108 bn) established two years ago, after Russia's full-fledged invasion of Ukraine. The fund is a special loan taken out to strengthen the German military. Ammunition has been procured and expensive weapons systems have been ordered. Current estimates say that money will likely be used up by 2027.

In a mind-bending narrative about the emergence of what Benz calls “military rule” through an online censorship industry in the U.S., he lays out in startling detail just how corrupt and tyrannical the U.S. defense and foreign policy establishment has become. Most importantly, Benz, the executive director of the Foundation For Freedom Online, explains how a constellation of federal agencies and publicly funded institutions, under the pretext of countering “misinformation,” rigged the 2020 election and are right now smothering the First Amendment and rigging the 2024 election

The hand-wringing among Democratic Party leaders seems to have subsided. Some quiet resignation may have set in while a few cockeyed optimists spin fanciful routes to a Biden victory, but the reality is that the Biden candidacy is on the ropes. Biden’s approval ratings are historically low for a sitting president since 1950 seeking election. Each of the prior eleven presidents in that position, including four who lost (Trump being one), began the election year with at least 45% approval in Gallup. Biden’s at the year’s start was only 41% and has been short of 45% for more than two years. He fares no better in preference polls. He trails Trump

Georgia lawmakers are taking aim at Atlanta's squatting crisis with a proposed bill that would make the act a clear criminal offense in the Peach State as neighborhoods around the metro area continue to assess the situation with tied hands. Approximately 1,200 homes have been taken over by squatters, according to the National Rental Home Council trade group, but with local law enforcement bound by tenant rights laws, homeowners have limited options to reclaim their property. HB 1017, the Georgia Squatter Reform Act, aims to make that process easier.
