There is excellent news for the American industry, economy, and international trade sectors. The discovery of colossal rare earth deposits in Wyoming could essentially restructure the global supply chain of these crucial elements in the near future.
A discovery of 2.34 billion metric tons of rare earth elements (REEs) in a mine outside of Sheridan, Wyoming, has generated great excitement across industries stateside. For one, the reserves are estimated to be bigger than China’s current reserves, implying that this single find could end America’s reliance on Chinese exports if exploited judiciously.

I’m sure the Chinese will be able to build a “grass roots” movement to oppose the development of these minerals.
It is, after all, fashionable to pre-suppose that America is too rich.

Any bets on how soon some left-wing radical group brings a lawsuit against the mining of these metals? The argument will be that to do so would be destroying the climate, racist, sexist, homophobic, anti-trans, take your pick or all five. in 3...2...1

Since we would not have a dependency on China, the drumbeat of fighting global warming, which needs these REEs for batteries required for backup power, might lose steam. Part of the emphasis by globalists on "warming" is to transfer power to China and their REEs to weaken the US. Now that stick has been taken away from them.
Also, it creates a problem for leftists. The mining of REEs is incredibly costly and destructive. Yet, the left was OK with China doing it. If the Left complains about mining in the US, they expose that their dependance on batteries for a "green" solution is hypocritical and a lie.
Once Trump is reelected we will have energy independence again, REE mining will get turbo charged, and manufacturing using REE can grow in the US.

Watch for Biteme to write something 'official' to put the area off limits and turn it into a National Park or something...wouldn't want to hurt the Chinese dominance in rare earth supply.....

We’re going to have to import tens of thousands of orphan African children to do the mining by hand.

How long before the Biden regime bans mining in Wyoming, because mining in the US is bad but mining in China is good?

We have only drilled a few miles into the Earth. There are thousands of years of hydrocarbons under our feet. Minerals, heavy metals, etc. When President Trump let the drillers Drill Baby Drill, we became the Saudi Arabia of Natural Gas. The free flow of energy at market prices is what Rush often said. Inexpensive, abundant energy equals more freedom, and more freedom is what the left despises.

I believe 5 is prescient. This is a perfect opportunity for Grand Staircase 2.0. Like the way Klintoon locked up our low sulphur coal to benefit the Indonesian (but originally CHINESE) Riady family. Who---son of a gun!---were big Klintoon donors. Go figure.
