The House Judiciary Committee is calling CBS on the carpet over the firing of veteran reporter Catherine Herridge, who was probing the Hunter Biden laptop scandal, and the subsequent seizure of her personal records, The Post has learned.
In a scathing letter sent to CBS News President Ingrid Ciprian-Matthews on Friday — obtained exclusively by The Post — Rep. Jim Jordan, who chairs the committee, demanded the network reveal who at CBS or parent-company Paramount Global “made the decision to terminate” Herridge.
The committee said it also wants to know why her confidential files were “seized” as part of the termination.

Well, 'Son of a bi**ch' Most main stream media is not honest or truthful. Aggregators and blogs are the way to go. I like Dan Bongino and Victor Davis Hanson a lot

These hearings usually end up being a semi-plausible simulation of concern and competence. Like busy work for school kids.

Many of these committees do the job they are sworn to do and present steaming platters of waste, dirt, and malfeasance at the door of the Justice Dept.
It's not the fault of the Members if miscreants go unpunished.
I feel the same deep frustration all of us here do, but I honor the relentless work done to uncover and expose those who should be dealt with. Imagine their frustration.

I suppose CBS can fire anyone that they want to fire.
What does the Government do when they fire a person.
They walk them out with nothing. They don't allow them to take their computer or what they were working on with them.
Now I don't mean to say I agree with them just that CBS did the same thing they do.

It was a head-scratcher when Herridge joined CBS. It was only a matter of time before they betrayed her - although 799 other CBS hacks being cut loose was a nice palate cleanser.
Herridge is clever and hopefully she took copious notes on what happened to CBS alum Sharyl Atkisson, including the shocking intrusions and entrapments staged by federal spooks. And if she's clever enough hopefully she made several copies of any and all records and stored them in various places - cloud, physical location etc.

More wasted time and money. Why post something that has no relevance to solving the issues in this country. This committee is a joke

This all began - - when Catherine thought it was a good idea to sell her soul to the commies at See B.S.
A colossal blunder of titanic proportions. Oh, Catherine - - how could you be so dumb and greedy?.

Havent seen her since she went to CBS because we wont watch CBS, but before that we used to comment that a story was serious when they brought out the old chick with the short hair. This must be serious.

Jim Jordan is really good at calling for stuff, hearings, etc. I think he should work on getting the J6 political prisoners out of prison. Just sayin', but his biggest and consistent focus, since he's head of the Judiciary Committee, should be the Department of Injustice.

#10, she made a necessary choice -- she had a very sick kid at home.
It came back to bite her, yes, and I'm sure she made the calculation, but she was in a tight spot.

My comment to all those criticizing Mr. Jordan.
The people who designed the Federal government deliberately distributed the power among different groups so that one group could not dominate everyone else. The Congressional people can hold hearings and bring the light of exposure to various nefarious people and activities, but the actual prosecution has to be done by the Justice department.
The trouble we are presently having is because the 'Justice' department has been corrupted into the 'Just-Us' department, with blatantly harsh treatment of traditional Americans, and blatantly lenient treatment of Leftists. Compounding this is that the Lamestream Media is in on the corruption, so that those Americans who get their information from the Lamestreams never see this corruption. The only hope that I see is that the Lamestreams appear to be declining in popularity and the alternative news sources appear to be growing, so that hopefully enough people will see the corruption to overcome the crookedness being practiced during the elections, and things will eventually be set right.

Herridge must have had some really damaging dirt on the Biden cabal, given how eager both sides are to get it...
