On Saturday afternoon, a video was creeping up on X/Twitter suggesting a trucker’s strike against New York City because of truckers’ anger about the $384 million judgment against Donald Trump. I asked, “Is this going to be something?” Well, yes, it is, and that’s despite the fact that, per the original video, only thirteen or fourteen truckers were contemplating a strike. Now, though, in true black swan fashion, it’s become a real story that could have a powerful effect on the lawfare coming out of leftist cities. This is the video from Chicago1Ray, in which he discusses his friends’ reaction to the disgraceful, hyper-partisan

All a trucker has to do is turn down a bid to deliver, for example, grocery items to NYC. He or she will not block traffic, or honk horns in unison, or stand in Times Square and give speeches. They won't be in the city at all. And they are not doing anything even remotely illegal in the process. I can hear the politicians now: "Because of MAGA, 'Yes, we have no bananas, we have no bananas today.'"

Understand how the trucking business works.
You pay $XXX.xx for delivery in metro Neuva York.
Trucker #1-you pay me $XX.xx.
Trucker #2-you pay me $XX.xx plus a kickback to the broker.
Trucker #3...no speaky english...you pay cash $X.xx
Who gets more work #1 or #2 or #3?
If you guessed three...

Any strike, no matter the industry or cause, works only if enough workers participate. Any less and your strike has no more effect than wearing a MAGA patch on your coat. A single or limited voice has value but it isn't 'loud' enough to force a change. There are thousands of trucks making daily deliveries to New York. How many truckers and for what length of time are the important questions - questions only the drivers can answer. What are any of us willing to sacrifice to undo the evil of Democrats?

The liberal NYC elites who suffer from a serious superiority complex and think the world wouldn't exist without their sophisticated city; will find out dependent they are on the "little people" if truckers refuse to deliver into NYC. No food, no supplies, no construction, no machinery, no nothing!

While I hope an army of truckers boycott NY, a focused approach of simply not delivering food or gasoline would go a long ways to send a message to NY.

Chicago Ray says it's hard to get a rig in NYC. That's a major factor in newbies taking the regular truckers place--causes its own set of problems. Go truckers! I wish our former military men would do something to save America.

Not sure it will become anything, if however a small fraction of truckers that currently deliver to NYC refused, it would force prices up and reduce availability rather quick.

It's a great idea, and would involve personal sacrifice on the drivers' behalf. We saw the Canadian trucker protest on COVID shots... it eventually fizzled from government pressure.
Wonder how long before the bayonets would come out, forcing them to drive.

This tactic is similar to the Butt Light Tranny game. Shut them DOWN! Now this needs to be extended to ALL Democrat run States. Have a nice day with the food RIOTS!

Can Gov Hokum send the NY national Guard to where they live and seize them and jail them in NY?
This is interesting because a huge boycott may not be necessary to have a big effect. Prices are affected at the margins and even a modest boycott could make itself felt as delays, shortages, and increased prices. Joke Bidet won't have to rescue them with a "Berlin airlift," but that's not necessary for it to be felt. And it could be done without injuring the truckers themselves.
Perhaps Texas could issue a "Travel Warning" to businesses contemplating doing business with NY.
An economic war between the States. Good going Dims! You've got your slavery thing going again in the form of human trafficking at the border, and a new war between the States. A cockroach never changes its spots.

This would shut them down if even 20% of truck drivers would just refuse to take loads to NYC. This would be DELICIOUS.
