The House on Tuesday voted for a second time to impeach Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas after the first vote failed last week. This time, Republicans received the outcome they sought.
“Tonight’s vote was a vote for law and order in our communities, and a vote to restore the rule of law at our southern border,” Rep. John Joyce, R-Penn., told The Daily Signal.
On Tuesday night, 214 House members voted in favor of impeaching the DHS secretary, and 213 voted in opposition.
No Democrats voted in favor. The Senate is unlikely to act to remove Mayorkas given Democrats’ control of the upper chamber.

February 10, 2024.......
"Representative Mike Gallagher, Republican of Wisconsin, announced on Saturday that he would not run for re-election, just days after breaking with his party to cast a decisive vote against impeachment charges for Alejandro N. Mayorkas, the homeland security secretary."

Mayorkas won’t be convicted, but if the Republicans play their cards right, the trial will being out plenty of information damaging to the Biden administration, and the MSM will have a much harder time ignoring it or explaining it away.

Puts every Democrat on record for supporting the open and out-of-control border now after the media tried to put that blame on Republicans.

It needed to be done. Whether or not it results in removal, it needed to be done. Mayorkas is openly defying the existing immigration laws. This can't be allowed to go unchallenged.
And yes, the process will reveal numerous communications and actions that will become public and further damage Biden's election chances.

Bravo! It isn't a waste of time.
It's a record of his failed policies - whether it has been his decisions or those of his puppet master.
Hopefully, the Rep senators will get his many misdeeds into the Congressional records to be preserved for all time.
Now, the dem senators will have to decide (and be on record): flood of illegals (& crime) OR law and order.

Strange things happen. It would be strange, unprecedented, historic, if a few Senate democrats were to have an attack of honesty and vote to impeach Mayorkas.

Praise the Lord! Finally some good news. Just found out Mayorkas was the one who stopped Secret Service protection for Robert Kennedy Jr. That's enough to impeach him. We're sick of the illegal alien invasion of our country and we want it stopped! Is there anyone with the guts to do that? Mayorkas could have been a hero and ignored demented Joe and closed the border and protected our nation's kids from fentanyl death and kids and women from sex trafficking. There's a special place in hell for these people like Mayorkas who have allowed our country to be destroyed by this illegal alien invasion.

Meaningless gesture. Impeachment has been used so much it has been trivialized and in the future the parties will spend their time impeaching members of the opposition in lieu of doing their jobs of governing.

An added note. Last year, our 24 year old son in California almost died from a fentanyl overdose (twice). Fentanyl was mixed in with another illegal drug. I believe it was because we have been praying for our son daily that the Lord saved his life, or he could have been another statistic. This illegal alien invasion is the cause of over 100,000 young Americans dying every year. It must be stopped!

Frog-march him out the front door of his cushy DC office and hang him by his gonads in a public square.... maybe think about a trial on down the line.

Does he lose his salary starting today and until the Senate tells us to move along, nothing to see here? If not, thanks for the Kabuki theater, folks. It's an election year, see how we roar.

He won't be removed from office, but this is not wasted effort.
The Republicans need to put the facts out for the American public that Mayorkas has ignored the laws of our country and endangered citizens by letting in millions of illegals. Talk about those killed by illegals, children who no longer have a parent because of an illegal. Talk about services being taken away from veterans to be given to illegals. Talk about terrorists let into the country and a possible second 9/11 type attack. Talk about criminals from other countries who have come her and committed additional crimes. Don't blow this, Republicans.

The Senate will just send the impeachment to a committee where it will be tossed out without a trial. Democrats will do their best to ensure that the facts of why Mayorkas was impeached from coming out. It would force Democrats to defend open borders and illegal immigrants.

I cannot understand how Alejandro Mayorkas, who escaped with his parents and a sibling from communist Cuba to come to our country for its freedoms and laws, can promote open borders allowing peope who have no regard for the rule of law, and could be communists, to freely enter our country. It seems so contradictory. He is fostering a philosophy his parents ran away from.
Mayorkas should be impeached, but our tolerant Senate will not let it happen. How can so many senators be blind to all the deaths of our young people from fentanyl, the trafficking of women and children caused by migration, and the entrance of so many military-age men into our country? As someone once said, "It's all about the Benjamins." Same with Ukraine.

Mayorkas looks like a space alien, is one of the biggest wusses in this administration. It is necessary to change channels whenever he testifies, about, again, not doing his job. Hard to watch someone talk who is so incredibly weak. He gets this odd strained look on his face whenever some Republican asks him a question. Notice whenever he goes to the border, to inspect his “handy work”, he wears low stress/welcoming powder blue attire, carries clipboard as if he is Mr Roark welcoming guests to Fantasy Island?
The Obidens purposely put him in that position because he does come across as incredibly weak, exactly what they want, just like Blinken. Which is a whole other subject.
Maybe the “it wont do any good” crowd will wake up, when it is one day proven Malaise Mayorka has allowed in a secret army. Its possible Obiden even arms them as well, to make war against America-you know, the bible thumpers. There is nothing off the table, nothing they wont try to remain in power and that includes murder! The intentional import proves it!

I'm sorry, but I am just over-the-top sick and tired of one political investigation or charge after another, leading nowhere. In the end IT IS the MEDIA THAT announces investigation results and the MEDIA who cherry-picks what we're told and the MEDIA that makes their 24/7 judgments about the "fairness" of it all.
The Dems are focused on bigger things, like control of Congress while we sit here righteously pounding our chests as we try to unseat a contemptuous guy who has ZERO chance in double hocketstickland of being impeached. He really can't do more damage than he's already done, can he?
Remember the red tsunami that didn't happen? We are in serious trouble of losing both the Senate and the House and we're got everything riding on Trump being able to outmaneuver one legal challenge after another. If he can't, we are doomed---but WE have allowed that to happen by not having a UNITED strategy or a serious backup plan.

FINALLY!
Yeah, nothing will actually happen to the Castro Cuban Communist operative, thanks to the Uniparty Senate and the 0bama Third presidency but at least they have put it on record that not everyone approves of the weasel's ongoing destruction of America.
