After months of fighting, Hamas had been forced to fall back to its stronghold in Rafah on the Egyptian border.
And the pressure on Israel not to go into Rafah intensified. Not only AOC and Bernie Sanders, but Biden warned Israel not go in because of the “humanitarian impact”.
Israel went in and brought out two hostages.
The IDF said it launched several airstrikes in Rafah as a diversion for the rescue operation. The rescue unit breached the building at 1:49 a.m.
The force came down from the roof and detonated a bomb to breach a door on the second floor, eliminated the Hamas guards and picked up the two hostages.

Nairobi, Kenya — Marathon world record-holder Kelvin Kiptum, who was set to be a superstar of long-distance running and was a top contender for gold at the Olympics in Paris this year, was killed along with his coach in a car crash in Kenya.
Their vehicle was the only one involved in the crash late Sunday and Kiptum was driving when it veered off a road and into a ditch before hitting a tree, police said. Kiptum was 24 and one of the most exciting prospects to emerge in road running in years, having broken the world record in only his third appearance in an elite marathon. His record,

Late last week President Biden dispatched administration officials to conciliate offended opponents of Israel’s war on Hamas. They were sent — where else? — to America’s jihad capital (i.e., Dearborn). The delegation included deputy national security adviser Jon Finer and USAID administrator Samantha Power. Their object was to smooth relations with the locals.
Readers with a long memory may recall Samantha Power as the author of “A Problem From Hell“ and an Israel hater who served in the Obama administration. Power now serves as the administrator of the United States Agency for International Development. She and her friends are themselves a problem from hell.

Hamas supporters in Michigan have rallied to warn that they will not vote for Biden unless he stops Israel from bombing their terror group.
After a previous delegation came and was rejected, Biden dispatched a high-level delegation led by Deputy National Security Adviser Jon Finer.
Whom did Finer meet with? Hamas and Hezbollah supporters in the most literal and direct sense of the word.
Osama A. Siblani, the influential publisher of The Arab American News, a Dearborn newspaper, had meetings with both Ms. Chávez Rodríguez and Mr. Finer’s delegation. He said Arab American voters in Michigan felt betrayed after backing Mr. Biden in large numbers in 2020, arguing that they had “received nothing”

A prosecutor is defending the decision to sign off on a plea deal getting a “transgender” convicted of sexually molesting an infant out of prison time.
The Spectator had the exclusive Feb. 9 on McCracken County Commonwealth’s attorney Dan Boaz’s excuses about the plea bargain. According to Boaz, the 300+ days the sexual criminal already served in jail was sufficient punishment, versus the 12-month sentence he received after pleading guilty. “Maria” Childers, a biological male who pretends to be a woman, was charged with “one count of first-degree sexual abuse of a victim under twelve and three counts of first-degree criminal abuse of a child under twelve.”

Democrats and their close friends and allies in the activist media have been in full-on spin doctor mode ever since Special Counsel Robert Hur released his report regarding President Joe Biden’s alleged mishandling of classified documents. Predictably, the Special Counsel refrained from recommending charges, but the rest of his report was quite damning when it comes to the issue of Biden’s age and cognitive problems. Now, the left is doing its best to assure the nation that the president is still fit for office despite Hur’s contention that he is an “elderly man with a poor memory.”
MSNBC host Rachel Maddow attempted to mitigate this revelation

For the last couple of days, the news world has been abuzz with the Hur Report, its condemnation of President Biden's mental state, and its implications for the 2024 Presidential race. Day by day, more and more Democrats are showing some willingness to yank the rug out from under old Joe and sub in someone else. There is a lot of noise about someone either belling the cat and convincing Joe (or, more likely, Jill) to step down for "reasons of health" or "family matters" or to outright 25th Amendment the old man into the next time zone, which would put Kamala Harris at the Resolute Desk and,

Democrat Jon Tester just got some added competition in his bid for a fourth term in the U.S. Senate. Republican Matt Rosendale, who represents Montana's Second Congressional District, announced on Friday that he plans to run for the Senate in 2024. Should he win the nomination, he'd face a rematch against Tester, who bested him by 3.5 points in 2018. Since then, Rosendale successfully ran for the at-large U.S. House seat vacated by Greg Gianforte (R), who opted to run for governor in 2020. In that race, Rosendale was endorsed by former President Donald Trump and won a six-way Republican primary before facing and defeating Democrat Kathleen Williams.

Rep. Dan Goldman (D-NY) has insisted Joe Biden's apparent failure to remember when his son Beau died is completely "understandable" for a man of his age and position. Appearing for an interview on ABC News on Thursday, Goldman reacted to a statement by Special Counsel Robert Hur in his report that President Joe Biden “did not remember, even within several years, when his son Beau died."
“Obviously, the President knows when his son died. … If he had a momentary blip where he couldn’t remember it as his mind is racing from the war in the Middle East to the questions that he’s been asking,

Florida Highway Patrol says a small airplane with five people from The Ohio State University's airport collided with a vehicle in Collier County on Friday afternoon creating a fiery debris field and closing Interstate 75.
Collier County Sheriff's Office confirmed at least two people are dead.
Naples-area resident Jinny Johnson happened upon the crash just minutes after it took place, heading north on I-75 around 3:20 p.m. "All of a sudden I saw a lot of black smoke," Johnson said. "It was pitch black. As I got closer, the smoke got a little lighter. And then I saw flames."

WASHINGTON — Special counsel Robert Hur has declined to prosecute President Joe Biden for his handling of classified documents, but said Biden’s practices “present serious risks to national security” and added that Biden portrayed himself as an “elderly man with a poor memory” who would be sympathetic to a jury.
“Our investigation uncovered evidence that President Biden willfully retained and disclosed classified materials after his vice presidency when he was a private citizen,” the report said, but added that the evidence “does not establish Mr. Biden’s guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.”
Biden said Thursday he was “pleased to see they reached

President Joe Biden on Wednesday twice referred to the late German chancellor Helmut Kohl instead of former Chancellor Angela Merkel while detailing a 2021 conversation at campaign events.
It was the second time this week that Biden had recalled speaking with a European leader who had died years earlier.
Biden's gaffes Wednesday came at a series of fundraisers in New York as he described conversations he said he had with European leaders at a meeting of the Group of Seven industrialized nations in the U.K. in 2021, months after the Jan. 6 riot.
Biden said at both events that "Helmut Kohl," who died in 2017, had asked him how he
