The Media Is Lying About Trump's NATO Comments

One of the most important reads of this short year. From now on, it is imperative that we back source everything we read in the MSM and verify their “reporting.” Pay attention to the words they use, phrases they distort, or lies they spew. They smell desperate.

Suggestions that the enemedia would admit to the incompetence and mental illness of Joe Biden and lay off Donald Trump for a bit are premature. They are stuck in a rut and have no way to recover gracefully.

It seems to me that Matt would be much more effective to say Mr. (name the Reporter) said..... which is a LIE, like other members of the sleaze network...! Saying Media Lie...BFD! People LIE!

Of course they are...they lie about everything Trump...they open their mouths, or put fingers to keyboards, and they lie...it's built into their neurons.....

I was reading some of the posts yesterday, and the never trumpers are having a field day screaming and screeching. I hope the coalition come together soon.

Of course they lie about Trump. But I wouldn’t mind even if he said it the way they characterize it. Get those socialist Euro moochers to pay up, which is exactly what he did. And the NATO secretary general praised him for it.

You would like to think that the media would change but they will not. Even knowing they will be proved to be lying, they will persist because it pleases them. They get great satisfaction from reporting anything that they believe is harmful to Trump. In fact, they cannot wait to spew their lies. It really is a mental disorder. No adult with an ounce of integrity would behave the way the media does. They are scum and rate right up there with the majority of our political class. These are the two factions that have done tremendous harm to the country. The problem is, as I see it, neither of these two groups ever pay any price for the consequences of their actions. Bring back accountability. You cannot shame these people into better behavior.

Idk, sounds like that’s what Trump meant to say (encourage Russia to do what they wanted with respect to deadbeat nations). Obviously he’d never actually do it, he was just doing the tough negotiator schtick. And I’m fine with that. If the Euroweenies get their panties in a wad all the better.

The nanosecond I saw the NY Spot headline aI knew it was a lie. Nothing the Kneepad media prints or broadcast is to be trusted. Now if Diaper, Demented (D2) Joe had uttered such words. I would have believed i was watered down by the Kneepads. More a prevarication than the outright lies they tell about Rebublicans and Trump.

Sorry (and I voted for Trump twice and will again if he is the nominee) but there is no one to blame for this but Trump himself. The "context" of this remark doesn't excuse it or really change the meaning at all. When I listened to what he said, I hoped that what he had intended to say was that the non-paying NATO country could "do whatever the hell they want" (leave the alliance? take their chances by themselves?) rather than referring to Russia, but he has not followed up with any such clarification so yes, he was saying that he would be cool with Russia attacking any NATO country not contributing the 2% GDP toward defense. We have rightly criticized Biden's foolish statement before the Ukraine invasion that the West would tolerate a "minor" incursion, as giving Putin a green light to do what he did. Ironically, I don't believe Trump meant this literally, as his record is that he governs much better than his rhetoric/bluster sometimes suggests. This statement is also stupid, frankly, coming at a time when SCOTUS is pondering whether he can be removed from the ballot by Colorado or other individual states. I preferred DeSantis, but will vote for Trump, but why does he have to commit these unforced errors?

Trump needs to start SUING every reporter who does this EVERY time. Tie these reporters up in court.

Thanks to hundreds of billions of our tax dollars pumped into something called NATO for over 60 years, Western Europeans can have their six week paid summer vacations, really nice public transport (love those bullit trains), etc ad nauseum while hard working middle Americans continue to get fleeced by our own elected representatives all in the name of the Western Alliance/NATO and the threat of the USSR, er, Russia/Putin. Well, Western Europe doesn't start in eastern Ukraine and if it did - let the countries and armies (hehe) of the NATO member countries worry about the Russian speaking eastern provinces of Ukraine - not the USA. We couldn't care less about Eastern Europe after we soundly defeated Hitler in 1945 - Roosevelt and Churchill were too eager (in hindsight) to cede all that territory to the Slavs of Eastern Europe, but cede it they did. Not our problem then and not now.

My first reaction when I read these headlines was that, whatever Trump said, his words were being misconstrued to build a narrative. As usual, the MSM lives up to their well earned reputation.

No surprise, as the liberal media has been lying about Trump all along. Trump talks in a Queens, NY vernacular, not heard routinely outside of NY, and the liberal media has found that it is easy therefor to lie about Trump’s intents and meanings.

So what's new....the fake news lies about everything that concerns President Trump....WE are well aware of the problem...they can't pull the wool over our eyes anymore.....

Trump has said that NATO countries need to spend the amount that they have PLEDGED to spend on their own defense, and not depend too much on US defense. I know that everyone knows that "unending peace" has been happening, but perhaps the Russians aren't really the nice guys that they will tell you that they are. Perhaps they might want to start invading their neighboring European states. Just perhaps. But if we get the Russians to sign an agreement to ONLY take Ukraine, then we can "Bring you peace in our time" just like Chamberlain did with his brilliant, saavy diplomatic coup in 1938 with the wonderful Munich Pact with Germany. /s off

The U.S. has been carrying Europe's lunch for eighty years. We're broke and can't do it anymore nor should we be expected to. European countries have been living the high life while America pays the bills. It's time for Europe to pony up.

I can't believe the lying press. How do we fight this? The main stream media has a large platform and most Amrtikans don't care or are too stupid to realize how biased and lying the "press" is.

PBS is doubling down on negative coverage of Trump. One would think that they are paid propagandists or something. It's horrible.

A significant portion of the citizenry do not know the facts and the truth. They don't even start paying attention until "after Labor Day" in an election year. They might listen to PBS, but not Talk Radio, nor do they read articles and analysis on the web. They might watch CNN and MSNBC, in which case their brains are atrophying and dying (or dead). Forget local papers, most are owned by the New York-DC centric news outlets, thoroughly biased. Man o man , can they spin and weave lies, duplicities and obfuscations. DJT does need to reach the rest of the country, he needs an overwhelming vote. All during the first campaign, over and over when he'd begin to rise in the polls, he would do or say something offensive or stupid, and the next several weeks would be spent explaining. There's no time or leeway. The time is short. #11, excellent points. I'd add one thing: the USA (taxpayers) rebuilt Europe under the Marshall Plan, and we also helped to rebuild Japan and the Pacific region. They would start major wars, we'd save the day, and then pick up their mess (I realize nothing is quite as simple as that) and now we're still wiping their bottoms with NATO nappies paid for by us again. To exacerbate the situation, we have an entrenched Military-Industrial Complex, the beneficiaries of which have a vested interest in keeping it well funded via wars, and of course Ukraine. And the music and the money go 'round and 'round. President Trump was beginning to change the step. As we know, Fifth Columnists and foreign saboteurs stopped him and resumed the frenzied Whirling Dervish. We need Trump to be disciplined, not petty or spiteful like the cranky old man in the White House.
