Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis was hit with more bad news a few days ago after articles of impeachment against her were officially filed in the Georgia State Legislature.
Last Friday, House Resolution 872 was submitted to the Georgia General Assembly by state Rep. Charlice Byrd. (snip)
22 specific articles of impeachment, with each one of them being an alleged violation of Georgia Code 16-10-1, which states that “any public officer who willfully and intentionally violates the terms of his oath as prescribed by law shall, upon conviction thereof, be punished by imprisonment for not less than one nor more than five years.”

The findings of yet another poll suggest that it might be time for former South Carolina Gov. and presidential candidate Nikki Haley to call it a day. With former President Donald Trump holding a decisive lead over Haley, all indications seem to point to his winning the GOP presidential nomination. Nevada’s primary races and caucuses are quickly approaching, and the poll’s results don’t look too favorable to Haley. It shows that most Nevada voters would rather choose no candidate than support Haley.

The Atlanta special prosecutor who brought election interference charges against Donald Trump reached a temporary divorce settlement with his estranged wife Tuesday — meaning he likely won’t have to testify in court about his alleged affair with his district attorney boss.
The settlement automatically canceled a hearing scheduled for Wednesday in which Nathan Wade was expected to answer about his relationship with Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
It also means Willis will likely avoid testifying in the case.
Wade and Willis’ alleged romantic relationship was first exposed in a filing in the election fraud case on Jan. 8 by defendant Michael Roman.

Republican Congresswoman Claudia Tenney nominated Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize, citing Trump's role in brokering the 2020 Abraham Accords between Israel, Bahrain and the UAE which aimed to normalize relations. Morocco and Sudan later also signed similar agreements through Trump's efforts. Tenney argued the Accords have not received the recognition they deserve, unlike past Middle East peace deals. Trump has previously received three Nobel Peace Prize nominations for his Middle East work. The winner will be announced in October.

The troubling deepfakes posted to X show Biden in a camouflage uniform sitting at a desk with advisors in an apparent attempt to show the US was on a war footing. The images — on the heels of the Taylor Swift deepfakes scandal — were viewed thousands of times after first being posted on Elon Musk social media platform on Monday. A powerhouse music rights label is preparing to sever its ties to Roger Waters as a direct result of the legendary British rocker’s inflammatory comments about Israel and Ukraine, sources familiar with the matter told Variety on Tuesday. The Berlin-based BMG, a firm that acts as both a music publisher and record label, first inked a publishing deal with Waters in 2016. But that deal is being scrapped in the wake of Waters’ vocal criticism of Israel, which some—including ex-bandmate David Gilmour—have characterized as antisemitic.

As one of the three liberal justices on the court, Justice Sotomayor and her colleagues can typically anticipate they will be outnumbered when deciding cases. Over the last few years, rulings around issues of abortion rights, LGBT+ rights and racial equality have swung in conservatives’ favour.
“Every loss truly traumatises me in my stomach and in my heart,” Justice Sotomayor said on Monday while speaking with students at the University of California, Berkeley School of Law.

As the U.S. presidential campaign moves closer to a Donald Trump-Joe Biden rematch, China is watching uneasily.
First, there are concerns about the campaign itself, where candidates are likely to talk tough on China. That could threaten the fragile improvements in U.S.-China relations seen in recent months.
Then there’s the outcome of the November vote. Neither candidate is particularly appealing to Beijing. While Biden has looked for areas of cooperation with China, Beijing is concerned about his efforts to unite allies in the Indo-Pacific in a coalition against China.

President Joe Biden‘s recent campaigning in South Carolina saw him meet repeatedly with black churchgoers in the Columbia area, foreshadowing a clear effort by the president’s team to leverage religion in contrasting Biden with former President Donald Trump.
Biden, who is a Catholic, attends Mass weekly and routinely discusses how his faith has shaped his political beliefs — themes he expounded on in remarks delivered to two separate black churches on Sunday. The president’s 2024 campaign had looked to South Carolina, the Democrats’ first official primary contest, to counter a perceived lack of enthusiasm surrounding Biden’s reelection effort, specifically regarding black Southern voters, compared to the previous general election.

UPS says it will cut 12,000 jobs following a disappointing sales outlook for the year. The layoffs come just five months after the company reached a major union deal.
The job cuts will help the company save $1 billion in costs, CEO Carol Tome said in a call Tuesday morning. Manager and contract roles will be the most impacted.
Labor negotiations last year threatened to disrupt package deliveries for millions of customers, before a deal with Teamsters was reached. As consumers feared potential strikes, they took their business to rival companies, like FedEx. UPS expects to gain most of that business back, but so far has only won back 60% of it.

The New York Times has an analysis written by Peter Baker that exposes just how feckless the Biden Administration has been in dealing with Iranian proxies.
The lede makes it blindingly obvious that Biden and his administration knew that American troops would get killed. Yet their responses to the nearly 200 attacks on Americans since 10/7 have been “carefully calibrated”–read weak–in the vain hope that showing restraint would somehow, magically, prevent the day that Americans would die from coming.
It doesn’t work like that. When you signal to an enemy that they can attack with impunity, they will.

Elites are individuals who occupy the upper strata in society through either wealth, politics, sports, religion, and/or social status (such as entertainment), and they have been a part of society for millennia. Because of human nature, elites have usually — though not always — considered themselves to be better than those below them or have simply been indifferent to them.
By the same token, those below the elites have either envied them, worshipped them, been hostile towards them, or have just simply been indifferent to them, occupying different worlds of which they were not privy to, though they might have been curious.

(snip) The Daily Wire reached out to the Walt Disney Company to ask about the poster and why they are posted. An activist investor has urged BP to ditch its green strategy and continue to cash in on oil and gas.
Bluebell Capital Partners wrote to the energy giant’s chairman Helge Lund with concerns about how the FTSE 100 energy giant is run.
The London-based hedge fund blasted BP’s green transition plan as ‘irrational’ and said the strategy has depressed its share price.
Investors are concerned that BP is underperforming compared with rival Shell and US energy giants Exxon Mobil and Chevron.

His critics call him Prime Minister Zoolander after the vacuous male model in the movie of the same name.
But Canada’s Justin Trudeau is someone much more sinister. That’s been obvious ever since the PM turned the federal government’s power on the COVID-mandate-protesting truckers of Canada’s Freedom Convoy in 2022, jailing them, seizing their rigs and even shutting down their bank accounts (“debanking,” as it’s known) — though that last came to a swift end when enough Canadians withdrew their money to threaten a bank run.

Sometimes, you have to wonder who is running the clownish Biden administration.
There are reports Monday night that Joe Biden may take some action in response to the Iran-backed attack on American military forces that resulted in three Americans being killed and more than 40 injured at last count. But in typical Biden fashion, not only is the Biden team telegraphing to the Iranians that something may be coming in advance, but now they've even leaked some of the possible options that the Pentagon is considering.
Biden, who has a well-known desire to limit conflict and avoid dragging the United States into another Middle East war, has directed his team
