I was born and raised in Georgia. I attended the University of Tennessee -- the Volunteers -- and now reside in Texas, where I finished my military career. I can tell you that there is a ruggedness in the Lone Star State that can be traced back to names like Sam Houston, Davy Crockett, Mirabeau Lamar, Thomas Jefferson Rusk, James Fanin, William Barret Travis, and Jim Bowie. This is the state that was first its own Republic and fought for its independence all alone. Rough men stood on a field and dared the vaunted Mexican cavalry to "Come and Take It.”

You can’t blame a senile old man for this mess. Obama is the master of Biden. The Supreme Court must be being blackmailed,

With the federalization of National Guard troops to impose military strength upholding the rule of lawlessness, Diaper Joe will complete Obambi's transition to a dictatorial state. Hitler had a title, der Fuhrer. This meant simply the leader or the guide. Should we start referring to our new dictator as Der Windel ( the Diaper)?

Most of the force is Texas State Guard.
It cannot be nationalized.

Biden will do nothing but talk. A conflict with Texas is a losing proposition for Washington, especially since half of our states have expressed support for closing the border. The democrats attempted to bully their way around the Constitution and failed.

And the Republican Party approved of the stolen election in 2020. And here we are.

"Come and Take It.” Santa Anna came and took it. As much as I admire Allen West our chances of defeating the feds are dismal. We now are a bandana republic ruled by an insane lunatic dictator. Our only hope is regime change in January 2025.

Re#7: BULLBUTTER! Santa Anna most certainly did NOT “Come and Take It”; “It” being the cannon in Gonzales. The Mexican Army was unable to do so. Yes, the Texians suffered a terrible defeat at the Alamo, but we went on to defeat tyranny and win our independence. Santa Anna lost everything.

I don't think that the state Nat Guard can be federalized without the agreement of the governor of the state.
No way Abbott would agree to this.

#3, I was wondering about that. (However, there is a difference in the uniforms and I have not noticed that in news videos.)
And now we need to explain this: Texas has both a Texas National Guard and a Texas State Guard, both grow out of the Texas Militia. That Militia (along with all the other state militias) were replaced with the state National Guards as a result of World War I.
As they did under the Spanish, Mexican and Confederate governments, Texas discovered that the national authorities were perfectly happy to either not provide local defense and/or de-nude Texas of its fighting men for its own purposes elsewhere, leaving Texas to fend for itself.
The "fending for itself" led to both the Texas Rangers and to the Texas State Guard, neither of which belongs to the Federal government and provides the state with law enforcement, defense and response to disasters, when the Feds just won't do.
In case you're wondering, 19 other states and (one territory) also have state guards: Alaska, California, Connecticut, Georgia, Indiana, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, Oregon, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Vermont, Virginia, Washington and Puerto Rico.
And having been a Reservist myself and serving with the National Guard, I know there are ways and ways of avoiding or slowing down a call-up. You might suddenly become a concientious objector or have a crisis in the family or your support plan for dependents fall through, to name three.
