Monday was a holiday dedicated to the memory of the greatest American civil rights leader of the 20th century: Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. But while the airwaves were covered with shallow tributes to the man, in 2024 it’s clear this country doesn’t honor his legacy.
Not anymore. Not for some time now.
This is likely to be something of an explosive column, and it will draw comments from all over the spectrum, so perhaps it’s most useful to begin by defining exactly what King’s legacy is.
And while the man was complex and his message multifaceted, the moment that made him great was a speech given at the National Mall in Washington

Must Read.
A good synthesis for everything you already know.

You cannot and should not be taken seriously on the subject of race unless you really understand and accept the fact that America is the least racist country in the world. Only when you have lived in other countries do you begin to get an inkling of that. All those who criticize and condemn America should be forced to first answer the question. "As compared to what?" Non-whites and non-Christians living in America are among the luckiest people in the world.
P.S. I am neither White nor Christian myself.

Thank you for your valuable insight #2. I mean that sincerely.
And I say that as a white Christian who has traveled to many countries and seen a lot of racism. You are correct.
If anyone wants to see hard core racism, try Japan.
And the tribalism in Africa is far more vicious and virulent than any racism that I have ever heard of. If one tribal member has an opportunity to harm a person of their enemy, hated tribe, in many cases murder will result -- just for being the wrong tribe.
Look at the events in Rwanda in 1994 when members of the Hutu tribe murdered between 500,000 and 800,000 of the Tutsi tribe. Just for being the wrong tribe. They also murdered many Hutu who were "too moderate".
And most outsiders couldn't tell the slightest actual difference between the two groups....but THEY could and they killed men, women, children, young and old, with machetes, mostly.

I have said this from late 2009. Everything MLK made right, Obama deliberately made wrong. He and whatever you wanna call "her" made it their goal to destroy the relationships between black and white people.

Tragically, MLK’s signature quote has always been miss used. With the emphasis on color, not character.

Yeah, Obie and Moochie have made it loud and clear where they are at with their spewing in regard to MLK Day. Black guilt always emerges out of nothing,
I traveled rather extensively when I was still working. A whole hell of a lot. In Europe, umpteen trips to the UK, Denmark, Netherlands, Norway, Finland, Germany, Belgium, Italy, Switzerland, Austria, India, Bulgaria, and Romania. In South America to Chile, Peru, Columbia, Ecuador, Bolivia, Brazil, and Trinidad & Tobago. In Asia, to Thailand, Vietnam, China, and Japan. At the time, those in these countries (regular people just trying to make a decent living) regarded America as the luckiest and most well-founded nation on earth. To a man/woman, all were most envious. A Dutch cab driver once commented to me that he regarded a move to America as necessary in order for him to buy and own an American-made muscle car - a 1967 Pontiac GTO convertible. But the left wants to destroy this experiment in constitutional republicanism. But Nancy knows why.

FTA:
This is an America where the things King demanded of the black community on the way to equality and justice are now seen as racist. Showing up on time, speaking proper English, dressing appropriately, pursuing marketable skills — those are “acting white” and vestiges of a racist era.
Sadly, I doubt many African-Americans are learning such things about Dr. King, but every African-American studies program SHOULD be making sure these sorts of common sense things are known.
After all, my 5 year-old grandson mentioned the following when he was told he didn't have school on Monday.
"I know, he had a Dream. I can't remember his name but he talked to people and said things people some people didn't want to hear from places people didn't want him to. He had a dream"
How many high school and college students could say that much about MLK?

I've not read this one yet, but considering what Zippy Hussein inflicted on the rest of us, I bet it’s a nightmare. MAGA-FJB

the comrade is half black and half white .... why doesn't anybody ever mention this???!!!
- he is not a true "black" person
- if he were he'd look more like his father than having characteristics of his mother
- he can't be "black" even when he tries his hardest

Obama is a hateful racist, just exactly like Bull Connor and George Wallace. No difference.
MLK was against racism, for a color blind society.
Obama is hate, and that hate still fuels racial strife like dumping gasoline on a fire.
