Yemen’s Houthi rebels fired their largest-ever barrage of drones and missiles targeting shipping in the Red Sea, forcing the United States and British navies to shoot down the projectiles in a major naval engagement, authorities said Wednesday. No damage was immediately reported. The attack by the Iranian-backed Houthis came despite a planned United Nations Security Council vote later Wednesday to potentially condemn and demand an immediate halt to the attacks by the rebels, who say their assaults are aimed at stopping Israel’s war on Hamas in the Gaza Strip.

Sorry there's no way to give a thumbs up to the OP, but good job OP.

Too bad the ROE doesn't include bombing the launch sites into the 3rd century...

Why wouldn't they launch this attack? They know bidet has a spine like a toilet seat cover, and the knock kneed puppeteer hussein is probably on their side. Bottom line, few, if any consequences.

Here's an idea. Maybe if we send more billions to Iran, Iran will politely ask the Houthis to stop

The immediate response should have been to destroy whoever and whatever was at the locations from which these were launched. The actual response will be for Joe to take some Pepto-Bismol and ask when is nap time.

Shows just how much current US warnings are worth. Some of us predicted this very type of thing when Pedo Joe stole the election. The whole world knows what a weak, pathetic, senile old loser he is and are happy to take advantage of it.

All I can figure as to WHY the launch sites were not immediately struck is that the drones/rockets/missiles are mobile and launched from barren desert wasteland(or conversely areas populated with civilians)...I assume that dedicated satellites/drones are tracking where they came from, are stored, prepped, and future strikes will hit those locations, as well as the command/control/radar tracking locations that guide these things. In the meantime the sailors are getting some "Real world" practice and training....then again the Houthi's/Iran, Russia and China are also getting a "Real world" look at US capabilities and defense doctrines, that they will use against us later, and elsewhere..
There was an interesting comment from Hezbollah the other day...they said that for years Israel(and the US) would send a warning shot anytime they were gong to strike a depot or arms transfer between Iran and Hezbollah, hitting nearby so that all of the Iranian and Hezbollah folks could/would run away from the arms/trucks and only after giving them time to get distanced did follow on strikes hit the equipt.
NOW they are not getting a warning shot, that the 1st strike hits the trucks, and the people attending them.Hence the growing number of Hezbollah/Iranian deaths, especially the leaders/ranking officers.

A UN vote to condemn the Houthis attacking shipping in the Red Sea. I'm sure they are quaking in their boots. Just another useless symbolic UN vote doing nothing to show how much they "care". How about using our missiles to blow up where the drones and missiles are being launched from? No warnings, no apologies. They shoot, we shoot back and wreak total destruction on any/all of their facilities. Sure they will hate us and want to kill us; but they already hate us and want to kill us.

Consequences? The security council votes to "Stop it, just stop it!"

I'd say bomb them back to the stone age, but, oops, they are already there.

Whatever the Houthis are firing doesn't seem to have much effect. Nevertheless, Blinken has warned the Houthis of 'major consequences' if they don't stop. LOL.

Responses should involve bombing facilities in Iran where they make these things.
