Let me make it clear from the beginning that I think Nikki Haley (R-Boeing) is a vapid establishment automaton who is basically the Kamala Harris of the Republican Party, a Bushesque mediocrity who represents a dying ideology that peaked in 2005, and good riddance to it. She’s the worst – self-righteous, annoying, always spewing grrrl-power nonsense and hack clichés salvaged from the back catalog of the Weekly Standard. She’s a disaster on every level, one of those people who is both very aggressive and always wrong, the worst possible combination. That being said, should he win the nomination, Nikki! should absolutely be Donald Trump’s vice presidential pick

If he needs a uterus to campaign with him, the quality choice is Elise Stefanik. Actually, she’d be my top choice in any event.

There are others who would be an addition to the ticket other than her. Byron Donalds, Tim Perry for starters.

I like Schlichter's books....but this advice is very, very, VERY bad. Haley is a bigger Deep State insider than Pence ever was.

The media is having a great time making Trump supporters gag from the Haley pushing. If this keeps up, we will all have to be hospitalized from the Haley pandemic.

What a moron! Any votes she would bring to the ticket would be more than twice counterbalanced by MAGA voters who would refuse to vote.

I recoiled in horror at the headline.....and was immediately disappointed in Mr. Schlichter, who I consider to be 'smart than this'.
Then, I read the commentary. And, as bizarre as it sounds (I KNOW!!) I am significantly persuaded.
Schlichter says it best:
"What does she bring to the table? Well, stupid people. There are a lot of people out there who think she’s a great politician and a great choice. I’m not one of them. If you’re reading this, I’m guessing you’re not one of them, but they are out there. Many don’t like Joe Biden, and many don’t like Donald Trump, but adding her to the ticket can win them over to the GOP. Winning the election is about addition, not subtraction."
Geez, I think he might be right. Bring on the airheads to vote for the GOP, that's a LOT of people!

My first thought exactly, #10.
A secular paraphrase of a spiritual truth - “What shall we say then? Shall we continue doing wrong that grace may abound?
Certainly not!”
We must put the wrong ways of governing behind us and do what is right to save this Constitutional Republic and Make America Great Again.

I’ve changed my mind about choosing a woman for VP due to the current situation in the world.
I think there are capable women, but even the strongest of them would not command the fear and respect in that position from the kind of enemies we are facing.
Trump needs a man who has also been through the fire and has come out stronger, wiser, more knowledgeable and determined to defeat this evil. The figurehead should be two unambiguously strong and powerful men who recognize the source of the kind of power needed to defeat it. They don’t have to be perfect, but they must have utmost respect for the One Who is perfect, just as those flawed leaders throughout Scripture did.

Trump has a 2-0 record of general election wins. Enough with the nonsense that he can't win a third time. It's not like Mike Pence was the reason he won previously.

If there's anyone who can get me to come back to Lucianne and comment, it's a Kurt Schlichter column. Kurt is absolutely right on here. Talk out of both sides of your mouth Nikki would definitely bring in lots of stupid women to help Trump win. Kari Lake would not because she is too much like Trump in telling it like it is and that is not enough with the way the Democrats always seem to "win." Trump has certainly pleased his base, but hasn't added to it, unless people are even more desperate before the election and want someone who can finally govern and get America back on track after the disaster called the Biden administration.

I was working up a good case of exploding head until I finished the headline and saw that Schlichter was the writer. He is obviously tongue-in-cheek here and knows that will not happen. If a woman is wanted as a VP, Trump has at least six good choices but his thoughts along that line should also include 2028 and who will be running for president to carry on his good work. Hillary also thought that she could play the female card but there weren't enough stupid women in the country and her qualifications to claim femaleness are razor thin. Trump has learned well from that Indiana Idiot that the choice of VP is important and he will choose somebody extra special this time around. There are actually more women than men in the republican arena that would fill the billet so his choice will be another interesting point for 2024. MAGA

No, Nay Never! A little-known fact is that in 2021 February or March, Nikki announced her presidential run: she saw no real Jan 6 footage, she did not listen to people etc, but falsely, wrongly and ignorantly blamed Trump for all that happened at the Capitol. This was her opportunity and she took it, falsely maligning Trump in the process. The blowback was so intense, that she shut things down immediately, and w/out a peep. She’s an opportunist who only cares about herself… she’s treacherous, so NO!

Kurt misses the greatest problem with this horrible idea. The purpose of the Vice President is, like with Harry Truman, to provide a succession in the office of the Presidency in the event of the death of the president. If Trump were to choose Nikki Haley for VP, then after taking office Trump's second term would be truncated just like JFK's presidency. Trump needs a VP who will put American interests first, not another RINO.
