The student-run daily newspaper at Harvard, the Harvard Crimson, reports that in the face of continuing discovery of plagiarism evidence in her published work, Claudine Gay has resigned (snip)Quite simply, Gay has damaged Harvard’s core mission. No, I don’t mean the education of students or the production of research. Harvard’s real business is the production and maintenance of institutional prestige. That prestige is what attracts students, faculty, donors, campus visitors and other people who bring value and further enhance prestige. And it has taken a gigantic hit.

Nothing is going to change. Anti-Semitism will continue at Harvard just better hidden from the public eye.

Don't be fooled into thinking this changes anything. Harvard will just appoint another ultra-leftist, but this time it will be a smooth talker that can bluff her way through a Congressional inquiry, and who might have actually written her own doctoral thesis.

Good riddance of a sad fraud who stole whole pages of text from others and called it her own. Clearly a third rate mind, faking being a competent person.
Affirmative action is a total joke.

She'll fail up, most likely. Anyone else see a future congress woman? She's got the resume for it and she'll fit right in.
Or possibly a position in the DOE since she such an outstanding educator. Her future looks bright. /s

I knew that Harvard would buckle under the intense pressure. They chose their reputation and a bunch of money over their DEI religious faith. No single person is worth the courage of academic conviction. But no worries, I'm sure there are multiple box checkers preparing their resumes right now. I'm not surprised at all that the first black president of Harvard failed just like the first black president of the United States has. Obviously they all need to consider a couple of other qualifications.

FTA."...commitments to confronting hate and to upholding scholarly rigor—two bedrock values that are fundamental to who I am". Wow! I am not asking if she means it. I am asking does she even understand what she has written.

Claudine Gay is the Dylan Mulvaney of academia. Now she needs to be fired from the faculty and declared personal non grata on every campus in the country.

The governing board of Harvard that hired Claudine Gay ought to resign also for being incompetent.

Well Dog My Cat!
I didn't think they would do it!
They must have seen that she (it IS a SHE, isn't it?) was driving Harvard down that road recently traveled by Bud Light, Disney, Target, and the Catholic Church, straight down into the sewer.

The donors got her fired.
Money talks, everything else walks.
It remains to be seen if the money spigot gets turned back on. If not, she will be really fired.
