When it comes to the COVID-19 hysteria, it appears most people have moved on. But others can’t seem to let the pandemic go. Washington Post media activist Taylor Lorenz is one of the latter. Since it became clear that the coronavirus was no longer a threat, she has been insisting that the rest of the nation should still go through mask and vaccine mandates and take precautions to keep people like her safe. The alleged reporter has even taken to portraying herself as “disabled” because she supposedly is still vulnerable to the virus. On Saturday, she replied to a user on Threads

President Joe Biden is demoting critical border negotiations with Republicans to, instead, conduct emergency border negotiations with Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador.
The diplomatic switch comes as Biden’s flood of several million illegal migrants is further damaging his 2024 poll ratings, and as GOP leaders are using their Senate clout to demand real border reforms.
“Everything revolves around getting the Mexican government to do targeted operations” against the cartels’ migration business, one U.S. official told the Washington Post.

An illegal immigrant from Nicaragua who was deported from the United States five times was sentenced to 19 years in prison for raping a woman in Ohio.
The illegal immigrant, German Mathews, 40, reportedly raped a developmentally disabled 44-year-old woman on April 29 as she walked to a bus stop on her way to work, according to a report from the New York Post.
Reportedly, Mathews’ hands were “covered in the victim’s blood,” because he “viciously beat” the woman in the head and the face, according to Forest Park Police Sgt. Jackie Dreyer. Mathews was reportedly “still on the women when police arrived in response to a 911 call,

In a poll taken just after the dramatic Colorado Supreme Court ruling barring Donald Trump from the ballot in the state, over half of Americans approve of the disqualifying the former president.
The ruling, released Monday, was made under the 14th Amendment's clause against people who have committed 'insurrection,' with the Colorado justices determined to punish Trump for January 6.
A total of 54 percent of American adults approve of the ruling, according to the YouGov survey that questioned nearly 3,500 citizens. About 38 percent said they strongly approved of the decision.
Only 35 percent of adults said they disapprove of the ruling, though 28 percent clarified they 'strongly disapprove.'

While America's public health officials issue one warning after another about this winter's "tripledemic" of COVID, flu, and RSV, the American public is responding with a collective yawn — if vaccination rates are anything to go by.
The CDC's most recent weekly vaccination update says that "receipt of the COVID-19 vaccine is low across all socio-demographic subgroups and has consistently varied by age, race and ethnicity, poverty status, health insurance status, and urbanicity." As of December 2, fewer than 18% of adults reported getting the updated COVID-19 vaccine since Sept. 14, and about another 15% of adults said they would "definitely" get vaccinated.

A Pennsylvania school is attempting to do damage control after issuing a memo instructing bus drivers to remove Christmas decorations from their vehicles, stop wearing anything related to the holiday, and avoid playing Christmas music.
“If you have decorated your bus with anything specific to the Christmas Holiday or any other decorations relating to a specific religion, please remove them immediately,” read the Dec. 15 memo from the Transportation Supervisor at the Wallingford-Swarthmore School District. “In addition, employees are instructed not to wear clothing related to Christmas or any other religious holiday.”

Mea culpa, mea maxima culpa.
The only real drawback to the columnist gig is that when you make a mistake, you make it in front of the whole world. One of my takes on Presidentish Joe Biden's so-called Inflation Reduction Act — really the Green New Deal Lite in drag — is a case in point. On Dec. 5 I wrote a column headlined "You Won't Believe How Many EV Chargers Biden Can Buy for $7.5 Billion." This being the Biden administration, of course, the answer was "zero." I'm here to tell you today that I screwed this one up and that's why I opened this column with an apology.

SCOTUS will hear Fischer vs. United States, the lawsuit questioning the unconstitutional 1512(c)(2) charges used by the Biden Department of Justice to abuse and punish January 6 protesters who came to Washington DC to protest the stolen 2020 election.
The case involves three j6 defendants: Jake Lang, who we have reported on extensively here at The Gateway Pundit, Garret Miller, who pleaded guilty to 11 other criminal charges and was sentenced in February, and Joseph Fischer, who, like Lang, continues to await trial.
The news broke this morning. Lang’s decision to move his arguments to the Supreme Court follows a split ruling in the DC Court of Appeals in April.

Monarch High School was fined and put on administrative probation following an investigation that concluded a biological male played on the girls’ varsity volleyball team, according documents Florida’s Voice obtained.
On Tuesday, the Florida High School Athletic Association notified Monarch High School and its principal, Moira Sweeting-Miller, that the school violated FHSA bylaws and Florida Statute.
The letter stated that the high school “permitted a biological male to participate on the girls volleyball team during the 2022-2023 and 2023-24 Girls Volleyball seasons.”

Joe Biden botched his big announcement about rail investment on Friday, declaring that the federal government would spend 'over a billion, three hundred million, trillion, three hundred million dollars'.
The president was in Las Vegas, unveiling $8.2 billion in new federal funding for 10 major passenger rail projects across the country. Among them is a new line from the Nevada city to Los Angeles, which when completed - potentially as soon as 2028 - can carry over 11 million passengers a year, powered entirely by renewable energy.
Biden mocked his predecessor for repeatedly promising Infrastructure Week, but failing to deliver.

…now they are coming for your meat. Global warming, the universal excuse for left-wing policies designed to make your life worse, demands that modern agriculture be shut down. If you think that is an exaggeration, talk to anyone in Sri Lanka or the Netherlands.
The UN’s COP28 global warming conference in Dubai is turning its attention to agriculture:
Climate advocacy groups are pressuring world governments gathered at this year’s United Nation’s COP28 climate conference in Dubai to commit to cutting global food sector emissions, as the conference host promises to put agriculture in the spotlight.
