U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) arrested an MS-13 gang member convicted of killing a Maryland resident years after local law enforcement in a so-called "sanctuary city" freed the illegal alien in defiance of ICE's detainment request. According to an ICE press release, Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) Baltimore's Fugitive Operations Team finally captured the 26-year-old Honduran national, a "validated" gang member of the Mara Salvatrucha (MS-13) Sailors Locos Salvatrucha Westside (S.L.S.W. or "Sailors") Clique, on Dec. 12 in Hyattsville, approximately 6.5 miles east of Washington, D.C. Notorious for its brutality, MS-13's motto is "Mata, viola, controla"—meaning "Kill, rape, control."

Serious question. Why cannot the officials in these uncooperative jurisdictions be charged with some offense related to failure to follow federal law or shielding criminals, or if the commit another crime they should be charged as an accessory to the crime.

Christmas road trips this weekend might be challenging for those who are driving an electric vehicle (EV) an extended distance for the first time. While EVs are popular with certain groups even as they’ve been largely panned by the general population, inexperienced EV drivers could face some unwanted travel surprises this holiday season if they hit the road unprepared, Axios notes in a recent report. Nearly 104 million people are expected to drive at least 50 miles from their homes between December 23 and January 1, which is a little more than last year’s holiday season, according to the American Automobile Association (AAA).

An Ohio woman celebrating a centenarian birthday was commemorated with an unlikely gift — 105 whisky shooters, one for every year she has been alive. Fireball Whisky heard of Florence “Flo” Hackman, a resident of Traditions of Deerfield assisted living community in Loveland, turning 105 on December 16 because she is one of its biggest fans, reports Fox News. Hackman may be elderly, but she is a woman still full of life and energy. According to caretakers at the facility, she drinks a bit of Fireball’s cinnamon-flavored whisky every day. Learning of her great appreciation for the drink, the company sent her the shooters as a birthday present. [Tweet]

Yazzie, who boasts of teaching about “queer Indigenous studies” and “Marxism” on her university biography page, joined the stage with representatives from progressive groups, including American Muslims for Palestine and the Freedom Road Socialist Organization. There were plenty of MAGA moments during the third year of Joe Biden’s presidency, despite Democrats and Never Trumpers continually putting former President Donald Trump on defense. Here are some of Trump’s top MAGA moments of 2023. 1. Mugshot Trump released what is now perhaps the most famous mugshot in American history after his 13-count arraignment at the Fulton County Jail. Trump took it a step further as well, posting the mugshot on X, formally known as Twitter, for the first time since being banished then reinstated under Elon Musk. [Tweet] The mugshot was an instant viral classic and remains the last thing his account has posted on X.

A new bill was introduced in the United States Congress on Friday to ensure the integrity of presidential ballots. The Presidential Ballot Integrity Act, introduced by Mr. Higgins of Louisiana, seeks to amend Title 3 of the United States Code, specifically the Electoral Count Act of 1887. The Electoral Count Act of 1887, or ECA, is a significant United States federal law that introduced procedures specified in the Constitution of the United States for the counting of electoral votes and resolution of related disputes. The ECA details the process by which the Senate and House of Representatives count electoral votes to confirm the election results for President and Vice President.

Republican presidential candidate Chris Christie will not appear on the ballot for Maine’s presidential primary, following a judge’s affirmation of an earlier decision. Despite efforts to overturn a ruling by the Maine Secretary of State, Christie’s appeal was rejected, solidifying his absence from the crucial ballot. The former New Jersey Governor’s campaign faced a significant setback when the Maine Supreme Judicial Court upheld the Secretary of State’s decision, stating that the candidate failed to meet the necessary requirements for ballot inclusion. The Gateway Pundit previously reported that Christie will not be listed on the Maine primary election ballot due to his failure to secure the required number of in-state petition signatures.

Manuel (Manny) Ellis suffered a deadly heart attack while in police custody in March of 2020. Jurors would learn during a ten-week-long trial that Ellis was a troubled soul, overtaken by a meth habit, who was a diagnosed schizophrenic. More than one political career was riding on the cops being found guilty of killing Ellis. The mayor called for the officers to be fired on the spot. How this massive surveillance device escaped detection from NORAD made for an embarrassing episode for US security officials. The balloon hovered over sensitive military sites. Biden wanted to shoot down the balloon, though he was persuaded not to do so by the brass due to falling debris. Yet, we know that wasn’t the first option. The Biden administration wanted to hide its existence and subsequent penetration of US airspace

Andrew Cuomo is officially waiting (very quietly) in the wings, Page Six hears. Insiders tell us that the former governor — who has been quietly polling on his chances of being elected mayor of New York City in the event the troubled Eric Adams craps out — is “leaning towards” a run at City Hall. Adams is not only facing historically low approval ratings, but his office is also under investigation for its ties to the Turkish government. Now we hear Cuomo — who himself resigned in 2021, after a string of sexual harassment allegations against him (which he has consistently denied) — is ready to run should the opportunity present itself.
