Fox's Greg Gutfeld came to X owner Elon Musk's defense on Friday on his late night show.
At the DealBook summit, Musk had a great message to advertisers who pulled out in the wake of a Media Matters report attacking X. He told the advertisers who had dropped out "@#$% you" and that he wasn't going to be blackmailed by money. It's hard to lay it out plainer than that, it was a battle cry in the war for free speech.

A Palestinian terrorist group cosponsored an anti-Israel rally at Princeton University on Friday, according to a flier advertising the event. Samidoun, which has been designated as a terrorist group in Israel and banned from operating in Germany, is listed on the poster advertising the "Princeton Rally for Divestment from Israel," scheduled to take place on campus Friday afternoon.
Although Samidoun has been banned by PayPal and other payment platforms due to its terrorist connections, the group has helped organize and promote dozens of anti-Israel rallies

One of the questions that has been asked since the 10/7 attack was how Hamas caught Israel so unprepared to respond. Within days of the attack there were reports that Hamas had been planning and training for it for more than a year. CNN reported there were half a dozen training camps set up to drill Hamas fighters in preparation for the attack. So how did Israel miss it?
According to a story published today by the NY Times, Israel didn’t miss it. In fact, they had Hamas’ detailed attack plan a year ago. They just didn’t believe Hamas could pull it off and so didn’t prepare to respond to it.

After embarrassing Gavin Newsom during Thursday night's landmark debate, Ron DeSantis got right back to winning on policy on Friday.
In a big blow to Democrat electoral hopes, an appeals court has reversed a prior ruling finding that the governor's congressional map, which changed Florida's District 5 from a 200-mile-long racial gerrymander to something that makes sense proportionally. Democrats sued, claiming that the more consolidated district violated legal provisions on minority representation. The First District Court of Appeals in Florida has officially disagreed, upholding the originally-passed map. While this decision could end up in front of the Supreme Court, it's highly unlikely,

I’m routinely asked why non-conservative/non-orthodox American Jews are so committed to the Democrat party despite mounting evidence for years now that the Democrat party is the party of American antisemitism. I could talk about 19th-century Jews becoming socialists because the socialists opposed the antisemitic Russian Tsar or 20th-century American Jews finding the Democrat party more welcoming than the Republican. But here’s the real reason why American Jews are leftists: It’s their obsession with academic credentials, especially from the fanatically leftwing Ivies. That, however, may finally change.
In the late 19th and early 20th centuries, American Jews saw that a college degree

The stories told by hostages who have been released by Hamas are heartbreaking. This is just the beginning.
The scope of the abuse won’t fully be known until sometime in the future. Many hostages are not talking much out of fear for those who continue to be held by the evil ones. Others are too traumatized to tell their stories. Their lives will never be the same. The worst for me are the stories of the children, the youngest victims of Hamas.
Children were branded in case they escaped, according to Yaniv Yaakov, the uncle of the brothers Or, 16, and Yagil, 12, who were freed on Nov. 27.

An Illinois appeals court upheld actor Jussie Smollett’s conviction for staging a hate crime in a Friday ruling.
The 2-1 ruling means Smollett is likely headed to jail to serve out his 150-day sentence, though his legal team vowed to appeal the ruling to the state supreme court.
“We wish to highlight that the decision was divided, with Justice [Freddrenna] Lyle offering a detailed analysis in favor of Smollett,” Smollett’s representative Holly Baird told Fox News.”We are preparing to escalate this matter to the Supreme Court, armed with a substantial body of evidence.”

As this year's UN climate conference gets underway in earnest, heads of state and government are addressing the world. Their speeches give an insight into what is at stake during the upcoming two weeks of negotiations.
Speakers at COP28 on Friday include Mohammed Bin Salman of Saudi Arabia, a leading oil producer, and Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India, where sprawling cities suffer from worsening air pollution. UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres was among the first to speak.
Reiterating his message that unprecedented global heating is causing human suffering, he called on leaders to take urgent action.

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates — As world leaders gathered for the COP28 climate summit in Dubai, the collapse of a cease-fire in the Israel-Hamas war Friday plunged the conflict back into open combat and cast a long shadow over the talks.
Israel’s top diplomat for the Middle East huddled with leaders at the summit as his colleagues went through a book of posters of those held hostage by the militant group Hamas, placing yellow “released” stickers by some while looking at others still held. Meanwhile, just a street away at the Palestinian territories’ first-ever pavilion, an official gave a horrified look when Associated Press journalists gave her the news that

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said Friday that Israel had struck over 200 terror targets in both northern and southern Gaza after Hamas violated a seven-day truce just over an hour before it was set to expire. In a statement, the IDF said:
Following Hamas’ violation of the operational pause, over the last few hours, ground, air and naval forces struck terror targets in the north and south of the Gaza Strip, including in Khan Yunis and Rafah.
The IDF struck areas booby-trapped with explosives, terror tunnel shafts, launch posts, and operational command centers designated by Hamas for use in the renewed fighting.

The bottom line is this: the modern home of antisemitism is the Democrat Party.
That’s not to say that being a Democrat makes you an antisemite. Hardly. 7 in 10 Jews are Democrats, and many non-Jewish Democrats are anything but antisemites.
But let’s face facts: the home of antisemites in America is the Democrat Party. While 80% of Republicans and nearly 70% of Independents support Israel, only 45% of Democrats do. It’s pretty hard to ignore these dramatic differences.
Most of the Republicans I see who are critical of supporting Israel do so because they lean toward isolationism, disdaining support for Ukraine as well as Israel. Most of the Democrats

Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) correctly noted in his 90-minute rout of Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-CA) that Newsom is a liberal bully. The more accurate term would be “crybully,” and Newsom is the biggest crybully in the country.
Newsom’s attempt at shaming DeSantis that backfired was about DeSantis threatening to fine the Special Olympics. Newsom’s “how dare you” routine was designed to make DeSantis look like the bad guy, but he got everything backward. As DeSantis noted, he was threatening to fine the organization of the Special Olympics because it was going to ban athletes who did not receive a COVID-19 vaccine
