Rep. The vehicle explosion that occurred near a U.S.-Canada border crossing Thursday afternoon is not believed to be the result of terrorism, New York governor Kathy Hochul said early Wednesday evening.
Two passengers are reported dead after a vehicle exploded near the Rainbow Bridge border crossing separating the United States from Canada. A border agent was also reportedly injured in the attack.
Sources told Reuters that it is now likely believed that the blast was the result of reckless driving, contrary to earlier assessments of a terrorist attack initially reported by Fox News.

The start of a short-term cease-fire between Israel and Hamas that will allow for the release of some hostages held in Gaza, the release of Palestinians being held by Israel and for more humanitarian aid to enter the Gaza Strip has been delayed until Friday, an Israeli official said.
"The contacts on the release of our hostages are advancing and continuing constantly. The start of the release will take place according to the original agreement between the sides, and not before Friday," Israeli National Security Council Director Tzachi Hanegbi said Wednesday in a statement. The release of hostages, along with a four-day cease-fire, was originally set to begin Thursday morning.

The head of the Never Back Down super PAC that has been pushing Ron DeSantis' presidential candidacy resigned shortly before Thanksgiving in the latest sign of turmoil amid the candidate's poll challenges.
Chris Jankowski, the CEO of the PAC that has been footing the bill for much of DeSantis' bus travel around key battleground states, stepped down Wednesday, days after a group of other DeSantis allies announced the creation of a separate PAC, called Fight Right Inc.
The move follows an account of vicious infighting between factions of DeSantis backers, NBC reported.

The extreme leftist Spawn actor was upset by Trump’s November 9 interview conducted by Univision news anchor Enrique Acevedo.
Leguizamo insisted that the interview was not critical enough about the former president.“On Nov. 9 the network aired an hourlong interview with him that held a completely uncritical lens on the dangerous policies Trump espoused during his presidency and what he has vowed to set in motion if he is elected in 2024,” the actor wrote.

The commie Pope invited a busload of 44 transgenders to the Vatican for lunch.
“On Sunday, the women — many of whom are Latin American migrants and work as prostitutes — joined over 1,000 other poor and homeless people in the Vatican auditorium as Francis’ guests for lunch to mark the Catholic Church’s World Day of the Poor,” AP reported.
In July, Pope Francis told a transgender that “God loves us as we are.”
Also, earlier this month, the Vatican’s doctrinal office announced that transgender people can receive baptisms, serve as godparents and be witnesses in religious ceremonies in the Roman Catholic Church.

On Wednesday, the House Ethics Committee voted against opening an investigation or a report into Rep. Jamaal Bowman (D-NY), who, on September 30, pulled the fire alarm while the House was voting to avert a government shutdown. Doing so is a violation of the DC code, and Bowman was charged by the DC Attorney General and pled guilty last month. The Department of Justice (DOJ) declined to charge Bowman for "obstructing an official proceeding," despite how the congressman pulling the fire alarm when there was no such emergency disrupted the vote.

Democratic Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro has a unique explanation for why former President Donald Trump is ahead of President Joe Biden in recent polls.
NBC News interviewed Shapiro for a story published Wednesday and asked him to explain Trump’s polling lead against Biden. Shapiro attributed Trump’s lead to “brain fog” from voters, and he expects it to clear up ahead of the 2024 presidential election.“I’m not sure folks remember just how chaotic it was, how divisive it was, how he was just in your face in your living room every day,” Shapiro told NBC News. “I don’t think people want to go back to that.”

The Democratic Party’s panic over losing control of narratives in schools has led it to pursue a new path to propagandize to children: mandatory “media literacy” classes to teach students about “fake news.”
Media literacy lessons are now mandatory in California in English, science, history, and even math classes throughout every grade level, thanks to a law signed by Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-CA) last month. Delaware, Illinois, and New Jersey are also among the states requiring these lessons. Among other things, the California law worries about the effects of “online misinformation” that has “threatened public health.”

Their Thanksgiving stay in Nantucket is their more expensive and luxurious. The Bidens are camping out for the holiday at David Rubenstein's 13,000 square foot home on a 14-acre private compound that includes a swimming pool, hot tub and tennis court.
The White House has said the Bidens pay rent for their stay but have never said how much the first couple shells out to spend six days at the $34 million home

MSNBC contributor and former Democrat U.S. Senator of Missouri, Claire McCaskill, recently went on air and wrongly claimed Donald Trump is “even more dangerous” than dictators Benito Mussolini and Adolf Hitler.
While on MSNBC’s Dateline, McCaskill stated, “A lot of people have tried to draw similarities between Mussolini and Hitler and the use of the terminology like ‘vermin’ and the drive that those men had towards autocracy and dictatorship.”
She continued, “The difference, though, I think makes Donald Trump even more dangerous, and that is he has no philosophy he believes in.”

The political world spends a lot of time discussing former President Donald Trump's lead over the Republican field in national polls -- currently at 45.4%, according to the RealClearPolitics average of polls. But, of course, the race will unfold as a series of state contests, beginning in Iowa on Jan. 15, New Hampshire on Jan. 23, Nevada on Feb. 8 and South Carolina on Feb. 24. By then, Republicans should have a pretty good idea who their 2024 presidential nominee will be.

Not only will a lawsuit against the state of Georgia regarding its election security measures go forward, but a judge said in her ruling that the “evidence does not suggest that the Plaintiffs are conspiracy theorists of any variety.”
The only way to make that any better would be if this judge were appointed by, say, former President Barack Obama. And lo and behold, she was!
In a 135-page ruling issued Nov. 10, U.S. District Judge Amy Totenberg of the Northern District of Georgia allowed a lawsuit from the Coalition for Good Governance to go forward, noting in her decision that the issue might be better decided outside of courtrooms.

That’s what some female athletes in England did when they learned they were going to have to play against a man claiming to be a woman, the U.K.’s Daily Mail reported Monday.
They refused to play.
They weren’t being transphobic. They refused to play because they were afraid.
What caused the fear? A female soccer player suffered a broken knee when blocking a shot from Francesca Needham, a 30-year-old man. They were afraid that if they took the field against Needham, they could be injured too.
Two matches in the Sheffield and Hallamshire Women’s League had to be canceled because of the boycott,

According to the White House, history had not begun when the president was born 81 years ago. It didn't even begin when Joe Biden became president nearly three years ago. Instead, the executive branch would like you to believe that history and price levels began only one year ago. There's a reason just 2% of voters polled by the New York Times said that the economy under "Bidenomics" is excellent: they weren't born yesterday. We're currently in year three of the worst inflationary crisis of the past 40, and tone-deaf posts like this one from the White House feel like an insult to the common sense of the public.

Get a load of — and a laugh from — the latest political advice coming from the White House.
Concerned about President Biden’s age and habit of falling, aides want him to shorten the distance he walks in public and wear softer, more flexible shoes to help keep him upright.
Not since the late campaign whiz David Garth told New York’s Ed Koch and other clients to wear more blue on television has political advice been so basic.
And with good reason, for, as even the propaganda media realize, it’s “not a good look” when the leader of the free world repeatedly falls up the steps of Air Force One.

Most Americans seem to have forgotten our first war against Muslims. In the late 18th century, our objection to Islamist practice was their piracy and slaving against our ships and sailors in the Mediterranean Sea.
In 1794, provoked by Algerian captures of American ships, our Congress authorized construction of the first six ships of the U.S. Navy, including the U.S.S. Constitution, still in commissioned service and now docked in Boston.
In 1795, our diplomats negotiated treaties with the Muslim states of Algiers, Tunis, and Tripoli to pay them tribute for the privilege of free passage.
But in 1801, the Pasha of Tripoli, citing late payments of tribute, demanded additional money

Tecklenburg was a two-time incumbent and expected to win the race as it headed into a run-off following the November 7th general election. What makes this such a big victory for Republicans is that Democrats had held the mayorship of Charleston since 1877, marking a major shift in fortunes. Sixty years ago, I grew up during the Cuban Missile Crisis. People were scared, but the fear was binary, with almost everyone equally frightened about what Khrushchev might do. But now, there is a sense of what you might call "Fear de Jour." You no sooner begin to relax from one monumental crisis before something worse occurs. Perhaps never in my life have so many balls been in the air simultaneously.

Israel’s defenses took a giant leap forward this week when — for the first time ever — it used a laser beam to shoot down an incoming rocket fired by terrorists in Gaza.
This isn’t science fiction, but the product of years of research and experimentation.
The US military is doing its own laser-beam or “directed energy” research, and Israel and the United States cooperate.
Lockheed Martin and Israel’s Rafael are developing Iron Beam, and ultimately it can mean not only ground-based laser defenses but lasers to mount on ships and planes as well.
Israel fielded the weapon for the first time in combat a few days ago,

A map, published by Christianophobie.fr, which marks with a red pin every spot where a church in France was attacked between just 2017-2018, looks like a war zone. Virtually the entire map of France is covered in red. Even Snopes, which presents itself as the final arbiter on what is real or fake news, admitted the accuracy of the map, while trying to minimize its findings...
One wonders if [Snopes] would be so casual if a Christian vandalized a mosque, or broke into a mosque while screaming Christian slogans?

Senators of both parties appear poised to take unprecedented procedural steps to break the months-long hold on hundreds of military nominations by Senator Tommy Tuberville, R-Ala., over his opposition to President Biden’s decision to change abortion policy in the uniformed services without the consent of Congress. The Senate stayed past midnight on Wednesday of last week in an attempt by a handful of Republican senators to break the logjam and confirm some of the nominations before adjourning for Thanksgiving, but were rebuffed by other Republicans who stood by their colleague in his procedural move.

Republican Celeste Maloy beat state Sen. Kathleen Riebe, a self-described moderate, to win Utah's special election Tuesday night, filling the last remaining open seat in the U.S. House of Representatives.
The Associated Press called the race at 8:36 p.m. local time.
The election, which was held in Utah's 2nd Congressional District, was triggered by the resignation of former Republican Rep. Chris Stewart, who left Congress in September due to his wife's unspecified illness.

Joe Biden had only one event scheduled on Tuesday -- to discuss the "progress" his administration was making in regard to dealing with the massive fentanyl problem.
As we reported earlier, part of the fentanyl problem is because Biden has failed to secure the border. He also didn't seem to understand China's involvement in the whole fentanyl process, lifting sanctions on a blacklisted forensics lab in exchange for Xi saying they would do more to track the flow of chemicals for fentanyl. As Rep. Wesley Hunt (R-TX) said, that was a bit like "thanking the arsonist."

The Gateway Pundit’s Richard Abelson reported earlier Israel has reached a deal with Hamas for a temporary cease-fire in return for the release of some of the hostages, Arutz Sheva reports. The deal is expected to go into effect Thursday, with 12 Israelis being freed every day. All the children and 13 moms are said to be involved in the deal. The right-wing parties oppose the deal, but Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will go ahead and pass it with the votes of the left-wing parties.
“A political official presented this evening (Tuesday) the outline for the deal to release dozens of hostages from Hamas captivity and emphasizes that

On Nov. 22, 1963, we lost not only a popular young president, but we also lost our national innocence. We lost our trust in government. Once lost, it has not returned and never will. The rifle shots fired at the president’s motorcade changed my own life as I watched TV coverage of my bloodied "friend" Lee Harvey Oswald dragged into the Dallas Police Station. When the Secret Service knocked on my door the morning after the assassination, they came for me as someone identified as a "known associate" of the presumed JFK assassin.
My involvement with Lee and Marina Oswald began in June 1962.

An air marshal union chief has warned it could be 'unsafe' to fly around Thanksgiving due to a lack of federal agents on flights that have instead been diverted to the US southern border.
Travel chaos is already in full swing as storms batter the Plains and Midwest, delaying 3,000 flights ahead of Thursday.
The Transportation Security Administration expects to screen a record-breaking 30 million passengers from November 17 through November 28. But to further complicate things, the airline industry may face a shortage of air marshals who are being sent to tackle the migrant crisis at the border.

Republican Celeste Maloy has been projected to win the special election in Utah for the open U.S. House seat recently vacated by Rep. Chris Stewart (R-UT).
Maloy beat out Utah State Sen. Kathleen Riebe (D) to win the seat. Per the Hill:
Maloy and Riebe were vying to fill the House vacancy after Stewart resigned earlier this year, citing concerns for his wife’s health. Maloy previously worked for Stewart’s congressional office as chief legal counsel.
The Republican candidate was largely expected to win the seat on Tuesday, given her link to Stewart and the GOP’s success in the state.

Ford Motor Company and China’s Contemporary Amperex Technology Co. (CATL) are already cutting jobs and financial investment at an Electric Vehicle (EV) battery plant set for Marshall, Michigan.
In February, Ford announced the collaboration with CATL — China’s premier battery supplier — to build a $3.5 billion plant in the small community of Marshall that executives said would create 2,500 jobs.
A few months ago, Ford executives said they were putting the plant on pause though the company will now resume construction.
This week, Ford executives said their jobs and investment commitment are dwindling from their initial projection — cutting the number of jobs scheduled for the plant by 800 and potentially cutting

In some parts of the country, standing up for Israel is controversial, even dangerous.
On the campuses of places like Harvard, Columbia and the University of Pennsylvania, anyone who dares to wave an Israeli flag — or, increasingly, wear a kippah in public — is at risk of being assaulted by angry mobs of people with their faces covered. In Los Angeles, a pro-Israel protester was allegedly killed by a pro-Palestinian computer-science professor.
(Judge Ryan Wright slashed the prof’s bail from the original $1 million to just $50,000.)
Many parents of Jewish students are concerned, and rightly so, about their kids’ safety at these institutions.

Much of the mainstream press and denizens of establishment academia are gathering forces to present the claim that President Javier Milei will somehow crash the economy.
They hate him and they tried to stop his election, trying to paint him as a crazy man.
Now that they have failed, the next best thing is to try to stop his plan to fix the Argentinian economy, howling of doom on the horizon.
It's stupid stuff because Argentina's voters know what Milei plans to do -- and they gave him their vote because of it. They know it will work.
Milei's plan is to dollarize the economy, meaning, Argentina can do as successful

Florida governor Ron DeSantis won the endorsement of Bob Vander Plaats, an influential Evangelical conservative in Iowa and president of the Family Leader organization, on Tuesday night.
“As I’ve made my way through 98 of Iowa’s 99 counties, Iowans have shared what a critical role @bobvanderplaats plays in engaging Iowa’s faith community in the key battles that matter,” DeSantis announced on X. “His support tells Iowans they can trust me to fight and win for them. We’re thrilled to have Bob and Darla on Team DeSantis and are thankful for their friendship as we’ve gotten to know them throughout this campaign. The road to America’s revival starts in Iowa,
