The once prestigious Lancet medical journal has made the astounding claim the year 2023 saw “the highest global temperatures in over 100,000 years,” even though temperature data collection only began in the 19th century.
According to NASA, three of the world’s most complete temperature tracking records, maintained by NASA’s Goddard Institute for Space Studies, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s National Climatic Data Center, and the U.K. Meteorological Office’s Hadley Centre, began in 1880.
Although sporadic attempts to measure temperature were made, “there are too few data before 1880 for scientists to estimate average temperatures for the entire planet,” NASA notes.

Different locations on earth = temperatures. Are they talking about the entire planet? 100,000 years takes in awful lot of time. The last ice age ended 20,000 years ago and the Little Ice Age ended in the late 19th century.
We are still coming out of it. So in conclusion , these " scientists " have no idea what they're blathering about.

Note that they are "estimating" average temperatures. That is NOT science. That is NOT the scientific method.
There is no way whatsoever - - to scientifically determine a statistically-reliable actual "average" temperature for the entire planet. If the goal is to project temperatures within 0.1 degrees for decades from now - - the gathered data must be accurate to a precision of 0.02 degrees - - and there must be at least 1,000 years of such precise data - - in order to make a reliable projection.
All of the above is both theoretically and physically impossible. All of the existing historic temperature data is garbage - - absolute garbage - - as far as statistical reliability.
Every word the gullible warmists tell you is a lie - - including "and" and "the." Never forget that.

So much for the lancet. It's an incompetent remark. They couldn't possibly know ... And the information that there is..... says other than this. I never want to hear from them again

The only thing that raises the temperature of the planet is the sun.
This is validated by Occam’s razor.

Did they get that information about the temperature over 100,000 years ago from Biden who witnessed it personally?

From which you can infer either: 1) The Lancet has a time machine that allows them to go back 100Kyrs and read a thermometer (that they take with them) or 2) It was even hotter 101Kyrs ago and the cause was the sun, as usual, which drives the planet's weather or 3) The Lancet's claim is a lie.
I vote for number 3, myself.

Lancet also published "peer reviewed papers" early in the Dem-panic "proving scientifically" that HCQ and ivermectin were dangerous and did not help COVID patients.
And 18 months later.....they withdrew the papers for fraud.
Lancet is FRAUD. Ignore them.

I understand that the global temperature measurement system was started in 1895 and not really completed until 1955. And urban heat island effects and changes in the measurement devices as well as the decommissioning of many remote monitoring stations may or may not have been properly accounted for.
Historical records indicate that grapes were grown in England in Roman times and Greenland was named Greenland a millennia ago because? In both cases contemporaneous records exist from around the globe that it was similarly warm everywhere. So Indications are that it was warmer both 2000 years ago and 1000 years ago. British naval records covering several hundred years indicate that the ocean temperature was warmer in the past than the warmist models assume. (I can't show you the data, it seems to have become more difficult to find on the web for some reason).
And if you question the assertion that "CLIMATE CHANGE IS AN EXISTENTIAL THREAT TO ALL OF HUMANKIND AND ALL LIFE ON THE PLANET" you are a climate denier (idiotic label, I don't know anyone who does not believe that there is such a thing as a climate) and more evil than Satan, Hitler and Pol Pot combined.

It would never occur to me to consult a planetary climatologist on an issue regarding my personal health, any more than I would ask my auto mechanic or plumber...and neither would it ever occur to me to consult a medical journal regarding an issue of global climate.
The biggest question is my mind, therefore, is why would anyone in their right mind give any credence to the opinions of an auto mechanic, plumber...or the Lancet...on this topic?
