Is It Time to Pull the Fire Alarm?

Original Article

When I suggest that it’s time to pull the fire alarm, I’m not talking about Representative Bowman, who actually and knowingly committed a crime when he pulled a fire alarm in the Capital to stall a vote of the US Congress (a crime for which he received a minimal consequence, unlike the J6 defendants). Instead, I’m talking about significant problems in America that require immediate (and possible) remediation. The US is in a leadership freefall, and we’ll be in a political ice age when that fall breaks. The world is picking sides and making bets on who will survive the most significant power struggle since the end of World War II.

Pull the alarm, and you better have a real plan. Otherwise, nobody will listen. We are so divided, it's a given not everyone will buy in to any plan. It's already too late, but the sooner someone comes forward with a real plan the sooner we can pull ourselves out of the hole we have dug. There are alot of things that need to stop. The out of control spending. The destruction of the economy. The destruction of business and jobs. Any policy fueled by hatred of America. The dumbing down of education. So much more. The only person with a plan seems to be Trump, but it's not enough.

The political system is incapable of forestalling the inevitable collapse. Everything they do hastens the Meltdown. Will it ever be generally acknowledged that it is already in progress? The Titanic band plays on, and the analogy is apt, because the mass of the US is too gigantic to stop us from grinding into the iceberg of social chaos. I believe the last opportunity to change course in time was during Reagan's terms,. but he squandered the opportunity with his Cold War obsession , , which led him to make horrible deals with Tip O'Neill and Ted Kennedy and resulted in a massive expansion of federal size and power My best recommendation is to accept the inevitability of social chaos and prepare to survive it. It; s too late to do anything to stop it.and the Titanic of government is determined to steam forward t full speed.

U.S. Court of appeals court judges asked a series of probing questions about a federal judge's 'gag' order that would prevent him from 'targeting' potential witnesses in the January 6 case. The judges picked apart Judge Tanya Chutkan's order, which prohibits Trump from targeting court personnel and witnesses, following his repeated attacks on Special Counsel Jack Smith. But they also acknowledged the difficulty of managing the case, asking whether the former president could use social media to in effect tell a witness 'don’t act treasonously – don’t cooperate' as a form of intimidation. Trump's lawyer raised repeated concerns that the order would infringe

Many on X are now talking about a disturbing comment that Rep. Dan Goldman (D-NY) made about former President Donald Trump. Our friends at our sister site, Twitchy, picked up the comment. Goldman was on MSNBC with Jen Psaki. They were talking about an interview former President Donald Trump had with ABC's Jonathan Karl. In that interview, Trump told Karl that he had wanted to go up to the Capitol during the Jan. 6 riot to try to stop what was going on. But Trump said the Secret Service discouraged that. The MSNBC chyron at the bottom of the screen framed that as "New audio:

The Biden Administration is a total joke. White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre on Monday actually took time to promote “transgender day of remembrance” – a completely made up thing in order to somehow make transgender people martyrs and heroes. They are not. “Today, on Transgender Day of Remembrance, we grieve the 26 transgender Americans who were killed this year. Year after year, we see that these victims are disproportionately black women and women of color,” Karine Jean-Pierre said.

Univision, the largest provider of Spanish-language content in the United States, is facing backlash over a seemingly positive shift toward former President Donald Trump following its recent interview with him from his Mar-a-Lago residence. Airing one day after the third Republican presidential debate, which Trump was absent from, Mexican American journalist Enrique Acevedo conducted a one-on-one interview that spanned over an hour. The former president’s interview on Nov. 9 has been widely regarded as nonconfrontational, as the host did not push back on remarks like Trump claiming

Argentina’s libertarian President-elect Javier Milei confirmed on Monday that he would make visits to both Israel and the United States before his inauguration on December 10, trips he described as “spiritual” and intended to meet with rabbis whom he had consulted during the election. Milei won the presidency in a landslide on Sunday night, defeating the current Minister of Economics Sergio Massa, a socialist. Massa’s tenure has been defined by inflation of upwards of 140 percent, skyrocketing poverty and joblessness levels, and the worst economic crisis in the nation’s history.

The president, who is celebrating his 81st birthday today, also joked about his age, saying he was really only turning 60. He undertook the traditional presidential duty of pardoning turkeys for Thanksgiving, this year sparing a pair named Liberty and Bell.Biden said the birds had overcome a lot of competition to be with him on the White House lawn. He went on: 'You could say even harder than getting a ticket to the Renaissance tour...or, or, or...Britney's tour...she's down in...it's kid of warm in Brazil right now.'

Milei won the nation’s chief executive office in a landslide vote, defeating socialist opponent Sergio Massa, the nation’s current minister of economics, by about 12 percentage points. Massa had won the first round of voting in October, when Milei – a solidly right-wing economic populist – had to compete for the vote with an establishment conservative candidate, Patricia Bullrich.

Electric vehicles have been around for 100 years or so. They lost out to gasoline powered cars because gasoline powered cars are better. Is that ever going to change? At the Telegraph, Michael Kelly draws an analogy to the Concorde: The man in the street has failed to embrace BEVs for the same reason he failed to embrace Concorde nearly 50 years ago: the extra cost – of order £10,000 per vehicle – represents an insurmountable barrier. People might pay the extra if they were getting something better in performance terms, but range anxiety and the lack of convenient recharging infrastructure remain formidable hurdles. Insurance costs are high too,

The once prestigious Lancet medical journal has made the astounding claim the year 2023 saw “the highest global temperatures in over 100,000 years,” even though temperature data collection only began in the 19th century. According to NASA, three of the world’s most complete temperature tracking records, maintained by NASA’s Goddard Institute for Space Studies, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s National Climatic Data Center, and the U.K. Meteorological Office’s Hadley Centre, began in 1880. Although sporadic attempts to measure temperature were made, “there are too few data before 1880 for scientists to estimate average temperatures for the entire planet,” NASA notes.

President Joe Biden’s border chief is now ordering border guards not to presume the correct sex and corresponding pronouns for illegal migrants. “We just obtained [Customs and Border Patrol agency] documents directing personnel to only use woke language when encountering individuals invading the United States,” a tweet from the Oversight Project at the Heritage Foundation reads. The order from border chief Alejandro Mayorkas directs border guards to ignore the biological distinction between the two complementary sexes. Instead, officers must submit to the political claim that each person’s “gender” is more important than their biological sex and so must allow people to sneak across the male/female border under the disguise of “transgender” pronouns.

At a summit of leaders from more than 50 Arab and Muslim states held last weekend in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Israel’s military response in Gaza following Hamas’ Oct. 7 massacre was fiercely condemned. While the final resolution called for an immediate end to "the brutal Israeli aggression on Gaza" and made offers of humanitarian and financial aid to the Palestinians, not one country came forward with a viable solution, even temporarily, for

Everyone is free to mull some scheme featuring Gavin Newsom riding to the rescue, or the spectacle of Michelle Obama lowered from the rafters at the Chicago convention to accept the anointing of delegates filled with joyful relief.
