U.S. job growth slowed more than expected in October, a sign the labor market is finally softening in the face of higher interest rates, stubborn inflation and other economic uncertainties. Employers added 150,000 jobs in October, the Labor Department said in its monthly payroll report released Friday, missing the 180,000 jobs forecast by Refinitiv economists. The unemployment rate, meanwhile, unexpectedly ticked up to 3.9% — the highest level in nearly two years. The pickup in the jobless rate suggests that layoffs are on the rise; the survey of households shows that the number of workers laid off rose in October by 92,000 from the previous month.

LANSING, Michigan - Michigan Democrats continued their push to remove any limits on the intentional killing of preborn babies up until the moment of birth, with a late-night passage on Wednesday of House Bill 4949. The “Reproductive Health Act” legislation follows up on a vote last November to enshrine a “right” to abortion in the state constitution.[Snip]Although the legislation will allow for the unrestricted killing of preborn babies at any stage of the pregnancy, it did not go far enough for Planned Parenthood, which criticized the minimal restrictions still in place.

Stalled in polls and buffeted by bad headlines, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’s underperforming presidential campaign got a major lift Sunday with the announcement that Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds would endorse him.
By itself, an endorsement of one politician by another is often of extremely limited value in a campaign, but Reynolds is highly popular with Republican voters in Iowa and she has a reputation for hard work — one who could do a more effective job of translating DeSantis’s appeal to her state voters than he has to date.

It will never cease to amaze me that Democrats continue believing they can insult or shame people into supporting their politicians. House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer says he wants Congress to impeach President Biden while teasing subpoenas against the first family concerning their overseas dealings.
Comer (R-Ky.) is helming an impeachment inquiry of the president — a fact-finding mission into whether Joe Biden engaged in influence peddling schemes during his time as vice president.
“I think he should, but that’s going to be left up to the speaker,” Comer told Fox News’ “Sunday Morning Futures” when asked about impeachment. “People ask me why I haven’t put someone in jail yet. All I can do is investigate.”

Joe Biden's administration appears to be watering down its denial of allegations the president met Burisma executives at a cozy DC dinner with his son Hunter.
The White House initially vehemently denied rumors that Biden was present at a Cafe Milano meeting between Hunter and Ukrainian oil tsar Vadym Pozharskyi in April 2015.

To be perfectly clear about this from the outset: There is nothing “good” or worthwhile to be had from the bloody and barbaric invasion of Israel at the hands of Hamas terrorists on the morning of Oct. 7.
Countless innocent Israelis have been brutally murdered, lives have been irrevocably changed (for the worse), and things will likely get much bloodier before anything gets any better in the region.
But if there’s one useful thing to emerge from the chaos and destruction, it’s that countless anti-Semites have willingly and loudly unmasked themselves.
And while it’s good that raging anti-Semites will struggle to find work after they rack up a hefty Harvard tab,

Political control of Virginia’s House of Delegates is up for grabs this Tuesday in Virginia, and if the now narrowly Republican-led body reverts to Democrat control, it will likely be led by a felon who spent seven years in prison.
Since the Democrats last controlled the chamber two years ago, moderate Democrats like former House Speaker Eileen Filler-Corn have been pushed out and replaced with insurgents like Don Scott, who was apprehended by federal agents in a Denny’s restaurant in 1994 after running into the bathroom and attempting to flush thousands of dollars in drug money. Today we follow on from yesterday’s War On Russia, War Among The Jews.
In his Farewell Address of 1796, Geo. Washington famously warned Americans against “the party spirit”, linking that spirit to the danger of foreign entanglements. Washington was a guy who knew whereof he spoke. The young American Republic had achieved its independence with the significant aid of foreign powers (France, Spain) and after suppressing significant internal opposition from Loyalists. In succeeding decades of the 19th century the United States was forced to thread the needle of military preparedness (Barbary Pirates) and involvement in the Napoleonic Wars (War of 1812). The US Civil War featured attempted foreign intervention once again.

In light of that, counter-protestors showed up on Saturday to ask people to respect British heritage. Instead of being allowed to march down the street as the pro-Hamas protesters have done, though, they were forced to stay behind barricades.

There is nothing wrong with hoping for a two-state solution in the Israel-Palestinian conflict. In fact, for over 70 years the Israelis, the UN, and most people around the world have been arguing that a two-state solution is the only outcome that could achieve permanent peace.
There is one problem: the Palestinian leadership and most of the Palestinians, along with a large number of Muslim extremists, don’t want a two-state solution. Their goal is one state, one people, and the Middle East altogether cleansed of Jews. It’s pretty hard to find a compromise with people who want you dead and gone.

Biden had defeated Trump in all six states during the 2020 election. Combining the polling in all six states gives Trump a 48-44 lead over Biden. The NYT-Siena College poll surveyed 3,662 registered voters in the six states from Oct. 22 to Nov. 3.

Instead of moving forward and returning to normalcy, health officials double down on precautionary measures to “limit the spread of RSV, the flu and COVID.”
This month, Santa Clara County decided that everyone — patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers alike — must don the all-too-familiar face masks in public patient care areas in hospitals, clinics, and long-term care facilities. This directive is not for a week or a month but for the entire “winter respiratory virus period,” Mercury News reported.
This mandate is slated to span from November 1 to the end of March. That’s a whole five months of mask-wearing, in spite of declining COVID cases.

Next week's off-year elections could provide a preview of 2024 for President Joe Biden, regardless of whether he faces former President Donald Trump in 12 months. Besides Gov. Andy Beshear's (D-KY) gubernatorial campaign, Ohio's abortion referendum, and Pennsylvania's state Supreme Court race, it is Virginia's general assembly elections that could prove to be the most predictive for next year. That is because of their potential to be an indictment on Biden's presidency amid speculation Gov. Glenn Youngkin (R-VA) is considering a last-minute bid for the Republican nomination — and there are no plans for the incumbent to stump there. Biden appearing

Historical monuments near the White House were vandalized on Saturday evening by pro-Palestinian protesters.
As The Gateway Pundit previously reported, thousands of pro-Palestine protestors flocked outside the White House on Saturday to protest the Biden admin’s support for Israel in their war against Hamas.
Videos from the protest that have surfaced on X show pro-Palestine protesters placing the Palestinian keffiyeh (checkered black and white scarf) on a statue of Benjamin Franklin on Pennsylvania Avenue and several other statues in Lafayette Park were spray painted with pro-Palestine slogans.

When campaigning for your 2022 vote, did you see any advertisements from conservative candidates promoting the idea, “If you elect me, I will vote for raising taxes on gasoline, unlimited expansion of casino gambling, legalizing marijuana, and keeping Alabama’s K-12 education system 50th in the nation?”
The answer is a resounding NO! Yet given the direction of these issues in our state, you’re likely perplexed as to who is really running Montgomery.

There are two categories of people who are fanatically devoted to Hamas: Islamists and committed leftists. (Snip) I’d like to advance some newly acquired facts to change the narrative that Jews are colonizers who have used and abused the Arabs with ancient ties to the land. Actually, these facts are new to me but, in point of fact, they have a history. In the late 1600s, Hadriani Relandi, a polyglot who spoke several European languages, along with Arabic, Ancient Greek, and Hebrew, traveled to Ottoman Palestine. The most important takeaway is that Palestine was not an Arab land; it was (and is) a Jewish and Christian land.

Decades ago, higher education was held to a standard of legal responsibility for the welfare of its students. The Latin term in loco parentis (in place of parents) gave them the right and duty to act as parents would. In recent decades, a better description of the how they manage their responsibilities to all students in their care is just plain loco.

GOP presidential hopeful Chris Christie did his best to scurry away from investigative journalist Laura Loomer as she confronted the former New Jersey governor for supporting the government’s attempt to incarcerate Donald Trump.
Loomer was amongst the crowd that greeted Christie with roaring boos as he delivered remarks at the Florida GOP Freedom Summit.
“Now look, every one of those boos, every one of those cat calls, every one of those yells will not… solve one problem we face in this country,” Christie told the angry audience. “You’re anger against the truth is reprehensible.”

For [many Muslims], the Koran, every word of it, is the dictated word of Allah (God) as told by the Angel Jibril (Gabriel) to Allah's prophet Muhammad....
Ten years ago, U.S. soldiers being deployed to the Middle East who flew to Qatar or Kuwait on the United Arab Emirates airline, before the UAE's supreme leadership in spearheading the Abraham Accords, reported that on maps in flight brochures, a country named Israel did not exist. Many seem to be working now to make that a reality, not just on a map.

Is it possible that we will actually see a Biden-Trump rematch in 2024? I have been confidently predicting for a long time that it won’t happen, but filing deadlines are starting to go by, and no one has entered the race against Joe Biden except Dean Phillips (I don’t count Marianne Williamson).
Democrats are nervous about Biden because 1) everyone has now noticed that he is senile, 2) Bidenflation has destroyed the budgets of most American families, 3) the Southern border is a disaster that even Democrats are now running away from, and 4) pretty much every other Biden

Gaza’s genocidal war against Israel has torn the Democratic Party apart by revealing the anti-Semitic core of its dominant left wing. Axios headlines: “Biden’s 2024 team roiled by Israel-Hamas war.”
Part of President Biden’s political team is in turmoil over the Israel-Hamas war, as some aides see the White House as abetting an immoral attack on Palestinians — while others believe Biden is showing “moral clarity” in protecting Israel from terrorists.
… The strife within the Democratic National Committee (DNC) — which Biden is leaning on for his re-election campaign — reflects larger generational and political divisions among Democrats.

Demonstrators called for “intifada” against Israel in the streets of Washington, DC, on Saturday, where tens of thousands gathered in Freedom Plaza for the District’s “largest pro-Palestinian protest in years,” according to reports.
“In a call and response, a woman can be heard saying into a microphone ‘Long live the intifada,’ to which the crowd responds, ‘Intifada, intifada, intifada,'” the Times of Israel reported.
Watch the video here: “Intifada” is the name for the violent riots that have occurred against Israel since the late 1980s, Breitbart News reported:
The term Intifada, which literally translates to “Stone Uprising,” refers to years of violent Palestinian riots against Israel starting

Tens of thousands of pro-Palestinian protesters marched through downtown Washington DC on Saturday in what organizers hoped was the largest US demonstration of its kind since Israel began its bombardment of Gaza after Hamas attacked the country last month. The crowd waved Palestinian flags, carried posters and chanted slogans during the National March on Washington: Free Palestine, which took place alongside similar events across the US and elsewhere in the world.

A Palestinian man in the US illegally was arrested in Houston for a firearms violation. Sohaib Abuayyash, 20, was in the United States on a non-immigrant visa that expired in 2019, which prohibited him from owning a firearm, Click 2 Houston reported.
Sohaib Abuayyash was allegedly planning to attack Jews in Houston before his arrest. He had studied bomb-making and had affirming statements online about killing Jews.
Abuayyash had also been taking a detailed look online at radical groups that condone violence which included bomb-making.

Tens of thousands of pro-Hamas/Palestinian demonstrators marched in downtown DC on Saturday demanding a ‘cease fire.’
“We’re here to say we support freedom for Palestine,” ANSWER Coalition media coordinator Walter Smolarek said, according to NBC Washington. “We’re here to demand a cease-fire now. We demand an end to the massacre of civilians in Gaza.”
“We’re gathered here because we believe that the Palestinian people have the right to live in freedom, have the right to live in peace and without being subjected to constant bombardments, to constant imprisonment, harassment, the occupation of their land,” Smolarek said.
