Some Americans rallied behind House Speaker Mike Johnson on Wednesday after a report nitpicked his personal finances and put a harsh spotlight on the possibility that he lives paycheck to paycheck. The Daily Beast published a report headlined, "Does New Speaker of the House Mike Johnson Have a Bank Account?," which featured a subhead that said he "has never listed a bank account on his financial disclosure. In fact, on his newest disclosure he doesn’t list a single asset at all."

The most barbaric and widescale terror attack in decades took place on October 7, when Hamas Nazis invaded southern Israel and embarked on a killing spree, massacring 1,400 Israelis and taking over 220 hostages. I will never forget the unfathomable images of death and destruction.
Hamas is a jihadi terror group and the atrocities they committed were exactly like those of ISIS and al Qaeda. It deliberately targets civilians and children. It is savage. And these terrorists are solely responsible for the situation in Gaza. In 2005, Israel unilaterally withdrew from the Gaza Strip, removing all Israeli civilians and soldiers from the territory.

The American Ornithological Society (AOS) announced Wednesday it will be renaming dozens of birds to “address past wrongs,” according to the association’s website.
The AOS agreed in April 2021 that birds named after slave owners and colonialists should be renamed to make the bird watching community more inclusive. The effort to rename birds will focus on 70-80 species that exist mostly within the U.S. and Canada and is a part of the decision to “reframe the issue of birds named after people altogether,” according to the AOS. “As scientists, we work to eliminate bias in science."

Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas revealed on Tuesday that 600,000 migrants evaded apprehension this year alone as they illegally crossed the border into the U.S.
Additionally, Mayorkas did not have information readily available on whether the 169 terror watch list members who illegally crossed the southern border were in jail or deported.
