Sidney Powell, the one-time Trump legal adviser — who famously failed to “release the Kraken” that would overturn the 2020 election — has flipped. This news has been greeted with great glee in the usual circles. Ahhh, salivated the New York Times. “Sidney Powell’s Plea Deal Could Be a Threat to Trump.” Hurrah! “Sidney Powell was Trump’s biggest ‘fighter.’ Now she’s a big threat,” trumpeted the Washington Post. But like Powell, they are always promising a Kraken that will never come. They dream that Powell’s testimony will deliver a lethal blow to Trump and his embattled former attorney Rudy Giuliani. However, for anyone who paid attention to Giuliani’s testimony

When she first claimed she had evidence, Kraken, etc, I and many others believed and were waiting for it. But obviously it never came. For u I own reasons she made extraordinary claims but didn't release even ordinary evidence. After a few weeks, I was done. Now it's their turn. They can have this unreliable person who got herself in trouble for spewing nonsense. I'm sure they'll "get him THIS time!". She'll just release some other mythical beast.

I think the Feds did to her, what they did to the Jan. 6th Trump supporters. They haul you in on numerous phony charges and threaten you with ruin and prison for years and scare the hell out of you. Then they get you to say or do what they want you to and they will let you plead to a very minor crime with little punishment.

Air Force Lt. Gen. Thomas McInerney Army Gen Mike Flynn Atty L Lin Wood Atty Sidney Powell Tech giant Patrick Byrne Retail giant Mike Lindel --------- Several of these people alleged a firefight in Germany involving US Army Rangers and CIA over an election server. US personnel were killed, they said. I did not commit to believing this but I would have, had anyone shown actual evidence. They talked like they had evidence, but never showed it. Where's the kraken. I doubted such rich and famous patriotic people, one of whom was a noted defamation atty, would make such stuff up. All of that nonsense obscured the legitimate claims of voter fraud: Mail in balloting Computerized inscrutable election tabulators Private money injected into municipal voting operations Legislated voting laws replaced by ad hoc committee chairmen ***We all saw these things happen in the wide open*** and no judge would stop it. It was surreal. It was so surreal that it seemed not a giant step to Consider to the kraken stories as well. These trials, while political, will not hurt President trump. They will help us all identify the actual election integrity issues and the psyops spooks running interference. Dear kraken team, time to burn your sources. Whats taking you so long.

All these people turning on Trump are being threatened with jail time. When our fake government intimidates and tampers with witnesses, it is perfectly legal. Trump cannot protect them. "The results are final" Those four words settle any election. That's why so few have ever been overturned. That is why the 2020 election was never going to be overturned. When Sydney Powell talked about "releasing the kraken', many here met the idea with skepticism. That skepticism was justified. The kraken was non-existent. I would say get ready for 2024, but it is likely already too late. After watching our false government in action, it is clear they have all their bases covered. Gotta keep all that dirty money flowing for their dirty deals! Our government is corrupt to the core and should not be considered a governing body. They only look out for themselves and their big-money supporters. They don't really govern. They don't really protect the country or its citizens. We all watch our rights, freedoms, and wealth slowly erode away. Meanwhile those with connections get richer.

For those I-told-you-so’s, there is no there there. Sidney Powell was threatened and decided to make a deal rather than risk the well-being of her family. We’ve seen it time and again with this regime. I think a lot of what she claimed was probably true, but in a time of so much confusion, and outright widespread corruption, decisions were made that did not favor disclosure.

I wish Sidney had "stayed in her lane" with her excellent defense of Lt Gen Michael Flynn. I still think the good General has an excellent case against James Cardinal Comey and the FBI for their maliciious prosecution. Powell and Flynn would have cleaned up well on those settlements. Assuming, of course, that the case could be heard elsewhere than DC.

All who love the truth are frustrated. I was disappointed to learn that Sidney Powell plead guilty. However I don't believe it's accurate to say that she flipped. I don't think it is fair to discredit her. As #9 pointed out, I am sure she was threatened -- just being there is a threat, much less being threatened with a hearing of felony criminal RICO charges held before a left wing jury. The charges she plead guilty to were misdemeanors most accurately summed up as "conspiracy to commit intentional interference with performance of election duties." Technically, I am sure she did try to interfere with UNLAWFUL performance of CORRUPT election duties, but this is exactly the issue that has not yet been addressed through a lawful court. It does not seem likely to be ruled as such in a Georgia court orchestrated by massive amounts of Lawfare money. For what I've read if she is subpoened to testify regarding Trump her testimony will only benefit Trump. She has not betrayed him or turned against him. As far as the Kraken goes, I think Sidney Powell truly thought the courts were not as corrupt as they have proven to be. In her testimony before the January 6 Committee (linked below) she stated that she knows of many sitting in the penitentiary today that have far less evidence against them than what she has collected regarding the stolen election. What evidence that has been heard by courts regarding the 2020 election has had overwhelmingly favorable results. It's just that most evidence has been dismissed by our courts on so called "lack of standing." Below are two links worth reading. The link to the January 6 hearing is lengthy, but very informative. Sidney Powell comes across as very convincing witness under adversarial questioning. Premodern Diversity vs. Civilizational Unity 10 replies

Few Romans in the late decades of their 5th-century A.D. empire celebrated their newfound "diversity" of marauding Goths, Ostrogoths, Visigoths, Huns, and Vandals. These tribes en masse had crossed the unsecured Rhine and Danube borders to harvest Roman bounty without a care about what had created it. Their agendas were focused on destroying the civilization they overran rather than peacefully integrating into and perpetuating the Empire. Ironically, Rome's prior greatness had been due to the extension of citizenship to diverse people throughout Europe, North Africa, and Asia.

Saudi Arabia is holding on to its ultimatum that foreign companies will need to base their regional headquarters in the kingdom or be barred from lucrative government contracts. The deadline: Jan. 1, 2024. In a bold surprise move back in February 2021, the Saudi government announced that it would, by 2024, cease doing business with any international companies whose regional headquarters were not based within the country. The news stunned investors and expat workers, many of whom saw the move as a shot at Dubai, the United Arab Emirates commercial capital that is home to the highest concentration of Middle East regional headquarters.

The overwhelming media narrative these past three weeks has been that Republicans cannot govern because, after 18 rounds of voting in less than a year, they could not pick a speaker of the House — the chamber in which they hold majority control. The political bed-wetting among Republicans in Washington sounded just as dire. “We are going to lose 25 seats over our inability to pick a speaker!” they squealed. The Republican Party has just earned its place in the permanent minority — forever, they cried. But the media narrative and professional Republican caterwauling, as usual, is completely wrong. Sure, the last few weeks have been embarrassing

The white smoke billowed from atop the Capitol Rotunda, informing the masses that we have a Speaker of the House. Rep. Mike Johnson (R-LA) was elected on Wednesday on a party-line vote. Amid the jubilation that the 22-day grinding halt of the House of Representatives has now ended, it’s worth remembering that electing a Speaker is the easy part. The decision of who will lead the majority caucus in the House has mostly never been in doubt for the entire history of the Republic. What that leader does is the more fraught question, and the situation Johnson faces is in no way easier than what now-backbencher Kevin McCarthy had to deal

The Middle East is on fire. Eastern Europe is gridlocked in war. America’s southern border looks like a scene out of “Mad Max.” And Southeast Asia is a tinderbox that could ignite with one wrong move. After four years of expanding peace under President Donald Trump, President Joe Biden is presiding over a world careening toward mayhem. “Mean tweets and world peace” has a nice ring to it. But it’s also worth exploring why Trump’s unorthodox approach to foreign affairs produced such markedly better results than Biden’s heralded return to normalcy. The current state of the Middle East — where most recently on Biden’s watch, Iranian-backed Hamas terrorists attacked Israel, slaughtered

In presidential elections there’s no such thing as a Pyrrhic victory. Winning is everything — and neither party would ever openly admit there could be advantages to losing. Yet the outcome of the 2020 election wasn’t entirely unlucky for the Republican Party or even Donald Trump himself. And as both parties look to next year’s contest, far-sighted strategists can see a bigger picture beyond Trump and Biden. Whoever won in 2020 was going to face the ugly but necessary task of withdrawing US forces from Afghanistan, where twenty years of nation-building had failed to establish a free state that could resist the Taliban. Trump might have executed the withdrawal more successfully

Data from Edmunds.com shows that in September 2022, for example, EVs sat on dealership lots for just 21 days before they were sold. Today, EVs are sitting on dealership lots for 65 days. Thousands gathered in Istanbul on Saturday for what was touted as the “Great Palestine Meeting.” The event was a pro-Palestine rally aimed at condemning Israel’s recent military actions in Gaza, where Hamas headquarters are located. Hamas terrorists were responsible for a deadly attack that claimed the lives of 1,400 Jews in southern Israel. One must ask the question: What did people expect Israel to do in response? Not retaliate? When an entity like Hamas, designated as a terrorist organization by the United States, the European Union, and Israel, engages in violent acts aimed at killing civilians, it is not only Israel’s right but also its obligation to defend its citizens.
